Root River Valley Cabin ~ Lanesboro, MN

The log cabin, built in 2012 by the Amish, is located on the Root River Trail. The trail is great for biking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, rollerblading, and walking. The cabin is 2.25 miles from Lanesboro via the trail. To access the trail, you just need to hop on your bike and ride down the road around the farmhouse.

The cabin is located on Hwy 250 3.75 miles by car north of Lanesboro with scenic bluff views. It is fully-furnished including two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen bed. There also is a futon and bunk beds.

This is a complete house with everything you need, except food. Enjoy the scenic bluff views while sitting out on the covered porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There is plenty of room to bring family or friends or just a loved one to enjoy a romantic get away.

Great, quiet spot in a nice location

We enjoyed staying here to fish the beautiful streams of the Driftless area. It was a nice quiet location still close to Lanesboro.

We owned the land for 20 years and always wanted to build a log cabin on it. The quiet of the country and the beautiful scenic bluff views make a relaxing atmosphere. Having coffee in the swings or love seat on the covered porch or a glass a wine is a great way to start and end the day!
