Celebrated 6 year old grand daughter’s birthday. The kids enjoyed the river fun and a the evening grilling and making s’mores on the fire pit. House accommodations were great.

A beautiful birthday place to gather with loved ones.
Old Oak was perfect for our group. Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms provided ample space for everyone the spread out. Hummingbirds and deer were fun to watch from the porch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Thank you for staying at this perfect cabin. The hummingbirds are so fun to watch! Come stay with us again!
Our stay was very pleasant. Although we were not able to go to the river due to high waters, we still made memories as a family. I felt more united and peaceful spending time with my family. We reminisced about our childhood and laughed a lot.

We are so happy your stay was special!
Come back and see us.
Property is isolated from other properties and gives great sense of privacy. It was very clean and exactly as presented in the pictures and descriptions. Very close to all the comings and goings in Concan. You will need to plan your river access as there is none from the property. Neals works for us and is minutes away. Would stay again.

Great house if you don't want to be near the water.
The house was great. Clean and spacious.
But you have to drive to the water. Also there should be a number or name on the house as it was difficult to find. Also the internet password was wrong and we got no help until the last day when we were leaving.

Glad you like the house. It's a short 2 minute drive to the water and we advertise that. We have a sign but will add another sign, thanks. Sorry about the wifi password, owners changed the password but now is correct. Thanks for staying with us!
This was a last minute reservation due to our beach trip house canceled due to a hurricane. There was plenty of space and beds for our group. Neighborhood was quiet and there was privacy. Lots of deer came to the yard, there was some corn to feed them and we bought more. Unfortunately the river was too low to float, but maybe next time. The porch was great and offered lots of room and plenty of seating. We would definitely stay again. Owner called me the day of check in to make sure I had all of the information I needed.
Place was nice with easy access. We had to wash all the pots and pans before we used them each of them seemed to have some type of food residue left on them. Maybe invest in a bigger AC unit, we understand it’s Texas but the upstairs area never really go cooled down. We made the best of it and had fun making memories with our family.

Thank you!
Very nice & spacious house. Enjoyed the back porch a lot. Very private! Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, etc.. Had a slight problem finding, but our host walked us through & was very helpful!!

Nice secluded house
We loved the location of the house, very close to stores & the river access. We were disappointed in the spider webs, dust, stove having macaroni left on it, & the floors not being well cleaned. Also, there were no bath mats. Only one tv had a remote control & a satellite box. We didn’t have feed for deer so you might want to bring some. Overall the house was OK.
What a gem! All the appointments of hone, great AC, great kitchen, multiple sitting areas, and the back porch/patio that has a breeze from the heavens and an oak privacy curtain around it is truly special. We will come back. Only minus in all of it is that the neighborhood doesn’t have direct river access, but that price point t more than makes up for it. Wonderful place.
Beware - No sheets or towels. Other than that it was a fantastic stay. Deer out the window everyday (they provide deer and bird feed). The kids loved feeding the animals. Had a fire every night and the house is very close to the river, restaurants and convening stores
We enjoyed our stay at Old Oak. The open concept of the living room and kitchen allowed all of us to enjoy one another’s company. We enjoyed having feed provided for the deers that you can watch them eat corn from the ample amount of windows. Nice and secluded location. Highly recommend.
