House is in a great location with a great view but has not been properly maintained. When we checked in it seemed to be minimally cleaned - we had to clean tables and counters, walls and blinds were covered in cobwebs and bugs. Rooms smelled of mildew and mold and several members of our party woke up with sore throats and sinus issues every morning. There were no smoke alarms, the patio chairs were dry rotted, patio tables were rusted, the main area toilet did not work, and multiple lights were out. There are many blinds missing, broken, and even one room they were stapled to the window frame and held up with chip clips. The deck was not stained and rotted in areas, had several screws sticking up and was uneven causing tripping hazards. The front deck railing was unsafe. The bathroom was moldy and warped. Multiple ceiling tiles were stained, ripped, and bulging. It rained and the ceiling leaked in multiple places as well as a door in the main king suite. A pipe burst that they tried to fix but it broke again, so we had limited water the last 2 days. The property management did try to help with some of these issues, but admitted they would not stay there themselves. As a group of 9 during a holiday week, we did not have other options to stay at, but management did offer a hotel room the last night of our stay, but logistically we did not feel this was an option, It is clear the owner of the property does not care about the conditions, or the health and safety of the renters.
