This stunning farm stone house circa 1805 is a perfect getaway for a visit to Pittsburgh. It is only 27 minutes to downtown and the cultural district in the midst of all of the best Pittsburgh has to offer. Upon your return, the house is nestled in the middle of 53 acres of forest with trails, an apple orchard and breathtaking views.
The house takes you back to a day when life was simpler. Surrounded by woods, the house is serenaded by birds. Wake up to deer greeting you as you drink your coffee on one of the porches. Walk to the creek to hear the gentle bubbling over the pebbles. Build a bon-fire with the firewood provided and sit around the campfire into the evening.
The furniture in the pictures has been rearranged and we are waiting for new pictures to post. But the bed listing is correct.
The two foot thick walls and shade trees keep the house cool and comfortable. Historic design works. There is ample cell service for hot spot service when needed. We find when we are at the farm, we have no interest in watching TV or being on the computer. You are really transformed to another place and time. But, for those who need to work or stay connected, we do have wireless.
