Great hosts, very clean place, and location was perfect for visiting Denali and other areas. Very from deck (I stayed in the loft apartment) was excellent. Good coffee too.
Enjoyed our stay, the hosts were helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this location for anyone traveling through or planning to see the Denali parks in the area
The host was great! Very responsive and even personalized our experience. The place was well stocked and clean and in a great location. Definitely will be back. Thank you
Steve was a tremendous host! He helped us out with everything we needed and great tips for where to spot wildlife. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Alaska.
Quiet area with lots of space, a fridge and a nice views. Owners dad was staying there and ran his breakfast area while we stayed.
Beds are small and no WiFi, but for our short stay, it was not an issue.
My only regret is finding this place too late in our vacation. It was perfect. Very spacious for our needs and everything you need in the kitchen. It is in a gorgeous area with stream running by Tons of things to do including fishing and hiking and boating in nearby lake (kayak rentals). Steve the host was awesome
We arrived late evening and our hosts had everything ready for us. Steve and Kelly were personable and shared a lot of information of the area. We followed Kelly's advice and hiked to a great spot to see Mt. Denali. The day was clear and we got to see the mountaintop. It was a wonderful 2 day stop in our trip around Alaska. Thanks! And the apartment was perfect!
We loved staying here! The apartment above the lodge was spacious and the beds were super comfortable.
Dave and his friend Joel were so kind and accommodating. We enjoyed their little breakfast bar inside the lodge in the morning.
Dave made our trip amazing by recommending to drive Hatchers Pass which gave us beautiful vistas and scenic views.
The apartment was also spotless. It is an upstairs apartment so if you cannot climb stairs, choose one of their cabins instead.
Welcoming lodge owners with a great space.
We stayed above the lodge in one of the apartments that was supplied with home like feel and amenities.
The space and lodge was clean tidy.
Owner communicated everything very throughly from directions, advice on shopping supplies. I would like to include that the owners made us feel welcomed. We would love to revisit this lodge in the future when we return back to Alaska. Thank you the hospitality is much appreciated.
We stayed one night. On my way back from a Huey helicopter ride. Cool property, nestled in Denali state park. Loved watching all the birds! The apartment was a great value - very clean and not a single bug in our apartment! I slept better than I had in weeks I spite of the Highway noise. That fresh mountain air! Thank you to hosts!
We rented a dry cabin and the apartment. It was great for our adult children, my mom and my husband and I. The owners were very helpful and kind. The apartment is cute and taken care of but rustic. We would recommend staying here again. The dry cabins are also nice and easy to use the shared bathrooms. But if you want more privacy the apartments have a bathroom attached. If you need more space look for the other listing on here, they are not listed together so have to book them separate.
Stayed here for a one night stay whilst making our way from Fairbanks to Seward.
Along the way down we took advantage of the extended daylight season and wound up on a trail many hours more than planned, eventually losing all light, arriving in the pitch black, and checked-in much later than planned. No worry there though, as Steve was so accommodating and left lights on for us so we’d be able to find our way.
Upon arrival to the room, a chalkboard with our names outside the door awaited us. This was a nice welcoming touch as well as a good way to make certain we weren’t erroneously trying to open the wrong door!
The next morning we took a quick stroll down to the creek and watched the numerous salmon on their journey. After that, we went into the lodge and got acquainted with Steve whom has a great personality and interesting story on how he wound up owning the property.
The property is very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of neighboring tourist towns and was a real treat as most of our other accommodations were just that.
You won’t regret staying here.
