There's nothing quite like sipping cool drinks on a sunny patio as you look out to river views. Sit back on the patio furniture drink in hand or fire up the grill for a riverside barbeque!

THE LOCATION
Sunbathe on the grassy beach or in our large gazebo on the water and launch your boat/toys directly on site. Since our beach it has retaining walls on both sides to slow the current it is superior to play, swim, anchor your boat and enjoy cooling off in the river when it is exceedingly hot. Guests tend to gather in the water, cool off, swim, play and enjoy children or adult beverages. Anchor your boat and toys directly in front of the home easily. (NOTE: In summer months most afternoons water levels fluctuate up to 3 inches into the Gazebo. These waters levels change hourly as well as daily. The gazebo is still fully usable at high water each afternoon. With the weather in the 100+ range we enjoy the drinking, BBQ and relaxing in the gazebo with our feet covered in water)
Big River borders Parker however we are separated from the strip by a dam (HeadgGate dam). The traffic is about 10% of the Parker Strip, smooth skiing and boarding is almost always available. IMPORTANT NOTE: Water fluctuates Weekly, Daily and Hourly and we recommended jet drives & outboards. (Occasionally some days water is not high enough to use most water craft) We personally have used V-drives and IO's Under 22FT with no issues but we don't recommend those type drives. THURSDAY is low water day. Most THURSDAYS the water does not come up high enough to launch water craft. We strive to keep this family guest house immaculate and well maintained unlike so many river rentals.
From water sports to gambling and eating at fun restaurants, this home is ideally located near everything you could want to do. The area is also great for off-roading, motorcycles, Razor and ATVs!
You can try your luck the BlueWater Resort & Casino, featuring slot machines, table games, poker, bingo and more just 5 miles away! Play a round of golf at the nearby Jewel of the desert Emerald Canyon Golf Course | La Paz County, AZ 10 miles away, shop in Parker AZ only 3 miles for all amenities or just enjoy fabulous River sunsets.
If you get tired of making your own meals, head down the road to Dumas Walker's Restaurant & Bar to grab a drink, Karaoke, Live Music and try some of the local cuisine 2 miles away. Looking for an exciting day trip? Lake Havasu City is less than an hour away, where you can tour the London Bridge, boat, dine, golf and more!

As we are the original owner/builder of this property and lifelong River Rats on this stretch of river, we used both experiences to build a Super River Home and vacation experience. The home is well known to most in Big River and is referred to as the Miami Vice house. We live in the Main house year round but you will have full acess to beach and gazebo.
NOTICE: In summer months most afternoons water levels reach up to 3 inches into the Gazebo. These waters levels change hourly as well as daily. The gazebo is still fully usable at high water each afternoon. With the weather in the 100+ range we enjoy the drinking, BBQ and relaxing in the gazebo with our feet covered in water.
Regarding the dock/anchor we have left our own 21 FT JET Boat in the water for months at a time on a anchor in front of gazebo with few issues. The dock is not a floating dock but has worked for us for over 20 years. We do not control the flow of the dam and depending on the day, month and year the water fluctuates 2 to 7 feet a day.

We came for the weekend, and had a blast! The property is awesome..especially having coffee on the deck overlooking the water. Hosts are wonderful, even giving us a tour when we arrived. Would love to stay again especially in the summer when we would be able to enjoy the water.
Staying here was so amazing. The house was very clean and comfortable. Loved the sunlit living room and kitchen. Cozy beds, I slept like a baby. Owners were really friendly and nice upon check-in, left us alone but where available for any questions/needs. We had an awesome time hanging out by the water and catfishing. Definitely would recommend, and hope to come stay again!
Amazing sunsets! Spacious guest house overlooking the Colorado River. Centrally located to so many adventures! Rented ATV’s in Quartszite, headed west to Joshua Tree. Great times!
Mary and Kirk were great hosts and we will be back! Thanks for sharing your special spot on the river!

Good location
This could be a great rental. We spent six weeks here and except for some cleaning issues and maintenance that should be looked after it was a decent place. Pictures online are from the day it was listed many years ago. It needs some care. Cannot understand how so many previous reviews raved about the cleanliness!

Nice clean plenty of space extra beds small but great for kids
Owners where very nice and helpful we had a plumbing problem which was fixed quickly. Owner easy to get a hold of if needed. Location was nice and quiet very little boat traffic. Hard to launch if water level is low. Parker 5 min drive for shopping and boat repair if needed. 2 bathroom was very helpful with a large group. Overall we have a great week of boating, fishing, floating and relaxing.
Return renters. Wife daughter and grandchildren came on this trip. Lots of hours playing in the river in the hot weather. Grandkids loved playing in the water and wife and daughter lived laying out in the sun. Water was very accessible. Grill by the water made for nice sunset dinners.
Host greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property and guesthouse. Accommodations were clean, tidy, quiet and accurately described in the listing. My only disappointment was the carpeted floors in the bathrooms.
Nice place to relax and enjoy the river, the rooms are on second floor facing the river and just great views of river from balcony the gazebo is right on the river along with tv and grill , overall great place to enjoy and relax 👍👍👍
The location of the property was perfect! My family and I enjoyed the privacy of the property. The owner was available when we reached out to him. It was a very clean place and the air conditioning worked so good with the 100+ heat out there. I would recommend this place and can’t wait to come back.
We had a great time at Kirk and Mary’s property! They were very kind and welcoming. We spent much of our time hanging in the gazebo which is like your own private sandbar when the water level rises up and over into it. I would recommend Kirk and Mary’s to anyone looking for an ideal low-key river trip.
We had a great time staying at the property. Kirk and Mary have a beautiful setup on the river and my family really enjoyed staying there. The waterfront gazebo was perfect, the house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend.
It was awesome to have the launch ramp on the property and to tie off our boat overnight. We had our 7 and 10 year old boys who loved the fishing thanks to some tips from Kirk!
We're very grateful to have stayed here and will definitely come back again.
Thanks again Kirk and Mary!!
This is my second time renting this river front property
I love the cabana as it sits right on
the river
The house is comfortable with everything you need
The AC works great which is a must as the temperature was hot!
Took a quick fall break trip with 2 moms and 2 10 year olds. Location was awesome. Even though we did not have a boat we had a blast floating in the river. Accommodations were great and probably one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. We will go back!! Thank you Kirk and Mary for everything!!!

Getaway
Had a great time for our last minute getaway. Enjoyed the river.
Kirk and Mary are amazing. We have a baby and asked to check in early and they happily moved out check in time up 3 hours with no fuss. They had an extra life jacket for our daughter and even let us borrow some water toys. The guest house is very clear and well kept. They bought our kids some bubble toys and left fresh brownies for us at check in. The gazebo and lounge area was perfect. We plan on coming back next year for the 4th of July.

Great Spot!
Very nice, we’ll taken care of home with tons of amenities. We came during the winter and only for a night so we weren’t able to take advantage of it all! Very helpful and kind hosts, would definitely come back.
