This is one of my favorite places to visit! It is so peaceful and quiet and the wildlife in the evenings is fun to watch. It is truly a place to relax and rewind! The property is always very clean and well kept. I would recommend this property to anyone!
Our family has stayed at the Moon Lake Lodge a few times now and always enjoy it. A cozy home and close to great hiking, restaurants, and other activities.

Fantastic place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!! The lodge beautifully decorated and so well stocked!! Of all the vacation rentals we have stayed in, this place gets the “best stocked “ award 😀. Comfortable beds; beautiful view; highly recommend.
This was the perfect place to relax after a very busy Christmas season. At the Moon lake Lodge we found the peace and quiet we were looking for. We would most definitely like to return in the future. Nisa was very helpful with any questions we had.
Had a wonderful time. Cabin felt like home. All you could want for comfort and kitchen was well stocked to cook meals. Girls weekend and we definitely didn't want to leave. If you like peace and quiet stay at this place.
This is a great cabin! Clean, comfy beds, well appointed kitchen and bathrooms, great porch with a view. Location is not far from beautiful waterfalls and hiking. Host was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. We will return!
My family and I stayed for 3 nights. We had such an amazing time. It was like a second home. The cabin was clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. We set and watched deer feed in the front yard from the porch. We definitely plan on returning in the near future.
Exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful, beautiful view. It was only two of us. But would love to go back with family. Everything was easy and communication with manager was great.

Perfect mountain retreat
If you are looking for a mountain getaway at a cabin close enough to Atlanta to justify a quick weekend away but quiet enough to leave the city feeling far behind, this is your place! My family and I loved the seclusion, the view, the screened-in-porch, the fire pit, the hammock, the proximity to Clouldand Canyon....Moon Lake Lodge delivered on numerous fronts. And did we mention the hammock? My kids are still talking about it! Nisa was a very responsive and accommodating host. We would highly recommend Moon Lake Lodge and can’t wait for an opportunity to go back.

Great cabin and overall experience
This is my first visit to the area but hopefully not my last. The property owner was a joy to work with, very accommodating and customer focused. The lodge was easy to get to and close to many parks for hiking as well as the charming town of Mentone, AL. The lodge has everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the linens were very nice. The owner was very thoughtful in making sure guests have a great stay. The Smart tv and WiFi were a plus. We enjoyed the fireplace as well. You will not be disappointed with this rental. Thank you for a great experience.

Perfect place to stay
My family stayed at the Moon Lake Lodge on December 26-29 and we had a wonderful time. We have 6 members of our family and we had plenty of room. The lodge is decorated perfectly to fit the area with plenty of space and extremely clean. The view from the screened porch is beautiful. I enjoyed sitting on the porch each morning enjoying the view with a cup of coffee. Beds were extremely comfortable with flannel sheets. We enjoyed family time in the large living room with the wood burning fireplace each night. The owner was very helpful and was ready to answer any question during our stay. Our family visits Mentone once a year and Moon Lake Lodge will be our first choice when finding a place to stay for future visits.
This property is very nice! Props to the host for great communication and keeping the place looking good. We loved the area, even with a drought/burn ban. It was so quiet and relaxing. Everything seemed to work well; the kitchen was stocked with what we needed, lots of blankets, the heat was nice, the balconies were nice and we even saw dear!
The only downfall was the water, being well water the iron content and smell of sulphur wasn't pleasant. I know that's not something that the owners have any control over, so that doesn't make me change my rating.
We easily came down from Chattanooga to the cabin, traveled just 10 minutes to Mentone, and had a great hike at Cloudland Canyon. It's worth the stay
We enjoyed our time at Moon Lake. While we were gathering for a sad event (burying my father's ashes), it was a very enjoyable and familial time. We had everything we needed and were able to take care of meals and laundry easily. There was a lovely table set with welcome snacks and water bottles, which was an unexpected treat. The view was very lovely, but as it was November and cold, we did not get to enjoy the view from the wonderful screened-in porch. Very private and welcoming. The water is very hard, so it would be good to bring your own bottled water. The host was very prompt in responding to questions and communicating quickly with us. And it was extremely close to where we needed to be, so that was an extra plus!
There were no disappointments with our stay at Moon Lake Lodge. It actually exceeded our expectations. Sometimes when you rent a property, you show up and it is not as advertised or your basically in someone's back yard. Moon lake lodge was exactly as advertised. The communication with Anissa was great. We loved the property and we didn't need or want for anything. My grand kids loved the lodge as well and the hammock was a big hit!! There was severe weather the last night we were there and Anissa was quick to check on us and make sure we were OK and if we needed anything. The Lodge was perfect, the view was awesome, and we plan to return as soon as possible. Thank you so much Anissa for your hospitality and sharing the Moon Lake Lodge with us!!
Secluded, quiet retreat. Very clean with all the amenities necessary for a fun family vacation. Short ride to Mentone and surrounding waterfalls. Only 45 min from Chattanooga. Owner was very responsive and answered all of questions in a timely manner.
This is a beautiful home surrounded by woods and with wildlife strolling through the front yard. So peaceful that it is easy to unwind and unplug, even with wifi available. Very spacious house with little decks outside each bedroom plus a large screened porch with rocking chairs and a table for outdoor dining. Has all sorts of little touches to make it comfortable, from binoculars and marshmallow roasting skewers to throws, books, and board games. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. Nisa is a great hostess and was easy to reach for any questions or needs. Will definitely stay again!
This was the second time our family of four has stayed at the lodge. It’s a perfect spot for spending time relaxing by the fire and also to explore the local area (hiking at Cloudland Canyon and Little River Canyon, dining at the Wildflower Cafe, Christmas ornament shopping at Eddie’s Florist). We enjoyed another great visit!
I have stayed in many homes, but this one was the best by far. Nestled in the forest, private, a fantastic view, the porch, the house... I couldn't have enjoyed it more. Also very close to Mentone and DeSoto State Park plus other great surprises!
Great place for what we needed. Weekend away. We stayed on the back porch most of our stay. We got to watch a couple of thunderstorms. My husband brought the big fan from our house but they even had a fan in the back porch so we never used ours. Very clean!! The owner reached out a few times through vrbo message to make sure we got in (easiest check in) ok and to see if we needed anything. Thank you for a great place for us to rest.
Great experience. Host were easy to contact and quick to respond. Check in was extremely simple. Back porch at the house was awesome. Even saw a couple of deer while we were there. Hope to visit again soon!
