Beautiful home, helpful host but far from Yellowstone park
Stayed in August 2020 on a very last minute trip. Host was very helpful and responsive if I ever had any questions. The house had more than enough space for us 6 adults and 1 child as far as sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was stocked with not only pretty much everything you could need for cooking but also with basic condiments and even food in freezer from previous renters which was a huge bonus for us. It is pretty far from the park which we were aware of when booking. It is also very close to pretty heavy traffic but honestly didn’t bother us much because we were gone most of the time and only there for dinner and bed. I will say my biggest complaint would be that there was no room for our belongings. When I rent a home for more than a couple days, I like to unpack, put my suitcase away and make my stay more homey. However in the bedrooms there were shelves of shoes and other personal belongings everywhere. In the bedroom we slept in, out of the 6 drawers in the dresser, 3 were full of owners personal stuff. Then on top of dressers were personal pictures, and random decor. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn’t unpack because there was no where to put our clothes. Other than that I would say this home was very very nice and super close to a laundromat which was also a plus since the home didn’t have washer. 2 things that may be worth adding to the kitchen would be a vegetable peeler and also a brush for that great grill on the front porch which we definitely used. Thank you for your home during our stay.
Easy drive to west Yellowstone National park. It was reasonably priced and we would stay there agai
Shower down stairs needs better controls. Kitchen needs better lighting. Would have been nice to have one more queen size bed rather than two doubles. The upstairs was very nice for our daughter, husband and teen age granddaughter. It was clean, comfortable, and inviting . You should also tell new renters that the ice cream just south of the house on the highway was some of the best we have ever eaten. Huckleberry was creamy and delicious. Thanks for the maps in the house - we used them and returned them.

About the host
Hosted by andy lamberson
The cabin is owned by Andy Lamberson and Steve Hullett, both Indiana residents and avid fly fisherman who love the area. They acquired the cabin with the thought to have a place where they and their families, friends and others could stay and enjoy the majestic outdoors of the West Yellowstone area.
The cabin is over 1700 square feet and offers wonderful lodging accommodations. It boasts a spacious gathering space, a kitchenette with all the cooking utensils to prepare your own meals, a 60 inch TV and internet and cable. Most notably, we have spent considerable expense and efforts to ensure the beds are exquisite.
The Cabin of Ashton is the ideal place to stay if you want convenient access to the town of Ashton, Rexberg, West Yellowstone and the numerous fisheries such as the famous Henry's Fork just minutes away.
Why they chose this property
We instantly fell in love with this place because of its location, It has the feel and look of a riverside cabin but the unique location of being 2 minutes from Ashton which has food, groceries access to a 24/7 laundry and 5 minutes from the best fly fishing in North America
