Gite the ponds of the Barette. Valley of the Somme. Amiens

Pascal and Sandra will be happy to welcome you in their cottage classified 4 stars, located in CORBIE in the Somme valley near Amiens 12Kms, Albert 13Kms, Peronne 20Kms and 1h Lille, 1h30 from the Bay of Somme, Paris and from Belgium.
The highway is 6Kms.
Very close to the great historical monuments of the great battle of the Somme WW1.

You will appreciate this lodging in full nature vis-a-vis the ponds of the Barette located in classified zone Natura 2000, it is independent next to the home of the owners. A park with animals composed of dwarf goats and chickens is adjacent to the parking of the cottage to delight young and old. You will be able to walk along the ponds by taking the nature hiking trail starting from our house to go right in front of the ponds and the viewpoint of Sainte Colette belvedere just behind our house (panoramic view of the ponds guaranteed) .

Lovely Gites de La Barette

Spacious accommodation with beautiful outlook onto the nature reserve of Etangs de la Barette with lakes and abundant wildlife. Owners Pascal and Sandra are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit.

Gite the ponds on the barrette

We have just returned from our trip and had a very pleasant stay. Pascal and Sandra were very welcoming and showed us around the property and gave us information about the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend the property to others .

Wonderful family stay

Amazing location with great views. Pascal and Sandra couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Wonderful hosts. The house was a little tricky with small children with regard to the stairs, but the house was well provided for with bath, cot etc and of course visiting the goats and chickens everyday. We made good use of the bikes and Corbie is only a matter of minutes away.

Week in a Gite

Had a great week in the gite. Views of the lakes are wonderful. Downstairs is a great space as are the rooms upstairs. The stairs are every bit as steep as we were advised. Parking and entry very secure and walks along the canal in the autumn sun were very pleasant. Great location for visits to surrounding towns (Amiens) and villages .

Perfect escape

We have had a fabulous time. Pascal and Sandra are great hosts very attentive and responsive. The gite is as described on the website . A beautiful house with a beautiful view!

The owners are very friendly and approachable. The beds were nicely made when we arrived, everything looked very well cared for. A nice house with lots of space and a beautiful view from the terrace. We love to cook so the spacious kitchen was ideal! And with the nice weather we had the barbecue on the terrace is used a lot. Very nice that bicycles were available for a trip through the beautiful surroundings or to cycle to Corbie for groceries. We can definitely recommend this house!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und halten uns gerne in Häusern auf, die ihre Geschichte zeigen und eigenen Charme besitzen.Ein grandioser Ausblick, der immer wieder den Wunsch geweckt hat, dieses schöne Gebiet vor der Haustür auch erkunden zu können - es ist aber natürlich völlig zu Recht ein geschützter Ort für Tiere und Pflanzen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit den Fahrrad super zu erreichen, auch der nächste Bahnhof mit Abfahrten Richtung Amiens und weiter nach Paris (haben wir an einem der Tage genutzt). Vielen Dank für den netten Empfang und die unkomplizierten Abläufe!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche. Das Ferienhaus ist phantastisch, wenn man seine Ruhe haben möchte. Die Gestaltung der Wohnung und des Areals , die phantastischen Bilder der Eigentümer ,der herrliche Blick auf die Teiche...einfach wunderschön. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wanderung um die Teiche oder nach Corbie haben Spaß gemacht. Die Ausflüge nach Amiens mit dem PKW waren toll.

Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge nach Amiens, Chantilly, Laon, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, Senlis, Ault, etc. Man kann auch lange Spaziergänge entlang der Somme machen. Schöne Aussicht aus den Fenstern. Sehr nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Gerne wieder.

Gîte de La barrette Corbie

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit an diesem zauberhaften Ort. Der Empfang durch die Vermieter war außerordentlich freundlich und sie waren die ganze Zeit über sehr hilfsbereit. Es war sehr angenehm, einen eigenen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück zu haben, und im Ferienhaus funktionierten alle Einrichtungen gut. Besonders beeindruckend war der schöne Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer auf die Teiche. Es gab herrliche Aussichten auf die Morgenröte und den aufgehenden Mond oder auch die Nebel über dem Wasser. Eine nette Nachbarschaft waren die Ziegen und Hühner. Vom Belvedere aus hat man eine herrliche Aussicht auf die umgebende Landschaft. Corbie ist eine nette, beliebte Kleinstadt mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Uns hat die Kathedrale in Amiens und auch der zoologische Park dort sehr gut gefallen. Vom Haus aus kann man schöne Spaziergänge machen und von Faux aus am Kanal entlang. Außerdem ist es gut möglich, in einer Stunde zur Küste (Ault) und zusammen Bucht zu gelangen. Alles in allem war es ein toller Urlaub!

Tolles Gite inmitten einer wunderbaren Natur

Wir, eine vierköpfige Familie, hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dem Ferienhaus. Das haus ist riesig und hat alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich wünscht. Die Lage ist wunderbar, inmitten einer schönen Natur. Wir haben zudem schöne Ausflüge nach Amiens und Paris gemacht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war sehr einfach. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter!

Séjour très agréable

Une semaine passée dans ce vaste gîte avec une belle vue apaisante sur l'étang, un environnement champêtre facile à explorer et une situation propice à de nombreuses découvertes et visites. Proximité d'Amiens, des hortillonnages, d'Albert (troisième ville du département), de divers lieux historiques et touristiques, etc... Sehr erholsamer und genussreicher Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Haus

Sandra und Pascal Leclerq sind sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Vermieter – sie haben uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und uns viele wertvolle Tipps gegeben. Das Haus liegt sehr schön ruhig an den Teichen in der Region Somme-Tal. Die Teiche gehören zu einem Naturschutzgebiet, dass man sehr schön erwandern oder mit dem Fahrrad erkunden kann. Der Garten mit Terrasse hat uns Städter besonders gut gefallen. Vom Frühstück bis zum abendlichen Grillen hatte man Natur pur und außer den Hühnern und Ziegen waren noch viele andere Vögel an ihrem Gezwitscher zu entdecken. Das Haus erfüllt alle Wünsche und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Besonders die vielen Kunstgegenstände und Bilder bringen ein ganz besonderes Ambiente mit und ergänzen den Stilmix von Industriell und Shabby Chic – das ist bestimmt auf die Künstlerin zurückzuführen und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in dieser historischen Umgebung. Die nächste Ortschaft ist Corbie mit Supermärkten und Bäckereien für den täglichen Bedarf. Auch der Wochenmarkt am Freitag ist gut geeignet, um frisches Obst und Gemüse aus der Region zu kaufen. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Freundlichkeit der Menschen in dieser Region – sobald man ein paar Brocken französisch gesprochen hat, war die Freude sehr groß und man ist uns überall sehr höflich begegnet. Das Ferienhaus ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Exkursionen in der geschichtsreichen Gegend. Man ist entlang der Somme sehr gut auf den Land- und Bundesstraßen unterwegs und braucht nicht zwingend auf der Autobahn zu fahren. Bis nach Compiegne in die eine Richtung und zur Flussmündung in die Sommebucht ist man eine gute Stunde unterwegs und kann die herrliche Landschaft genießen. Besonders Amiens als nächste größere Stadt war für uns mehrere Ausflüge wert und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Uns hat der Urlaub rundum sehr gut gefallen und wir möchten uns für die sehr schöne Zeit bedanken!

Wunderschönes großes Ferienhaus

Wir wurden von Familie Leclerq sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Haus liegt wunderschoen ruhig an den Teichen. Das Haus erfuellt alle Wünsche und ist toll ausgestattet. Corbie mit Supermaerkten und Baeckereien ist in 5min mit den vorhandenen Fahhrraedern zu erreichen. Die Region eignet sich sehr gut zum Rennrad fahren, welche wir mitgebracht hatten. Im Nachbarort kann man auf der Somme paddeln oder auch schwimmen. Amiens ist in 30min zu erreichen und einen Ausflug wert. Vielen Dank für die schoene Zeit!

Wunderbares Haus mit einmaliger Aussicht

Die zum Haus gehörende Terrasse ist mit dem Blick auf Teiche wirklich traumhaft gelegen, sodass gleich nach der Ankunft schnell ein Urlaubsgefühl aufkam. Das Haus selbst war sehr schön und komfortabel eingerichtet. Auch bei der Einrichtung hat uns nichts gefehlt. Zudem waren die Hühner und Ziegen nette und abwechslungsreiche Nachbarn. Für uns war das Haus der Ausgangspunkt vieler schöner Radtouren auf den gut ausgebauten Radwegen entlang der Somme. Die Vermieter Sandra und Pascal waren zudem immer sehr nett und aufmerksam, vielen Dank dafür! Insgesamt hatten wir eine wirklich wunderbare Zeit! Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder.
