Kitchen features all new appliances and gas range, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all necessities for cooking. Dining room off kitchen with sunset views and open to living space. Master with cool memory foam queen size bed. Attached bathroom with walk in shower and porcelain tile, new vanity with black granite top. Second Bedroom features cool memory foam queen size bed. Second bath in hall with tub shower and new porcelain tile, vanity features black granite top. Laundry area in hall way with new washer and gas dryer. Air conditioning and heat throughout home. Private patio with dining for 4, BBQ and a sofa for total relaxation. Small back yard beyond courtyard with gazebo and sitting area. Parking in driveway for 2 vehicles. This is a non smoking property. House broken well behaved dogs considered.

Great place

We (two adults and our dog) spent a week at this very nice house in a quiet neighborhood. We prepared many meals in its well-equipped kitchen, and frequently ate outdoors at the table in the nice patio. The bed and chairs are very comfortable. We hope to return.

Santa Fe our way

The property was exactly as it appeared. Because of the wildfires our original plans changed and Sondra was great. Had a minor glitch with a cooling unit,easily remedied, and Sondra responded quickly to my question. Would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Santa Fe getaway

Sondra and Timothy's place was fantastic! Check in was easy, home was spotless, kitchen was perfectly stocked to make delicious home cooked meals, plenty of towels, and comfortable beds. The yard was lovely but it was too cold for us to take advantage of sitting outside, though our dogs enjoyed it immensely. Check out was smooth and communication with the home owners was great.

Peaceful, quiet, relaxing, close to everything you need

The house is impeccably clean, and furnished for a calm and relaxing environment. Every amenity you might need is here. Although we stayed in winter, there are two beautiful lounging areas outdoors that must be wonderful in summer months. As it is, plenty of natural light, so very clean and elegantly furnished. I appreciated the privacy and quiet in this very safe, and centrally located neighborhood, around the corner from a grocery store, restaurants etc, and close to the mountains. A perfect stay, thank you!

This house was a wonderful pet friendly home with adequate space outside for two small dogs.

Renting the property was easy. Sondra was very helpful and returned calls promptly. It is a lovely place with everything one could need.

Comfortable, convenient, and friendly

We spent several months at this lovely home while purchasing a house in Santa Fe. Sondra and Tim were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. Plus they gave us some good ideas for local resources. They obviously put a lot of care into the house, inside and out. Everything is well maintained. The kitchen is one of the best stocked we've seen, with high quality pots and pans and plenty of utensils. We enjoyed spending time outside on the patio and in the gazebo. The location is very close to a grocery store and other shopping, some nice local restaurants (try the Loyal Hound pub and Midtown Bistro, both with outdoor dining), and about 10 mins drive to downtown. All in all a cute and comfortable home with wonderful hosts!

Comfortable and Tasteful

This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, and we always try to rent a private home wherever we go. Sondra's place has everything you need, and it's even adorned with her own artwork throughout the house. The space is modern and comfortable, with both air conditioning and heat as you may need to regulate the temperature. There are two outdoor seating areas, including a table and chairs for al fresco dining. But the most pleasant and unexpected surprise was the extensive landscaping that had just been done to the backyard, including a gazebo to sit under and new patio furniture to enjoy the beautiful weather on!! Since we have no (human) kids, we love to take our little dog everywhere with us but it is so hard to find a place that meets all of our needs. This house had it all! Sondra is an artist and a dog lover, and she welcomed our little girl with no hesitation. The effort she put into landscaping the backyard was so huge for us to enjoy being outside with our doggie -- it made all the difference and gave her a nice place to enjoy too! Perhaps the most refreshing thing about this artist's house was the trust we were shown to be responsible in taking care of her property, without tons and tons of no-nos and rules. It was such a delight to be treated like responsible adults, we wish more places were like that. To that end, if you stay here too, PLEASE take very good care of it so that it will remain the way it is for others to enjoy and for us to return to! Like they say in our national parks and all places worth preserving, take only memories and leave only footprints ... we want the property to stay exactly like it is and Sondra to keep trusting her guests!

Casa de Arte

We had a lovely stay in Sondra and Tim's Casita. We were relocating and stayed here while we looked for a house to purchase. The photos on the website reflect how nicely the place is decorated (with original art), it was clean, the kitchen was well equipped and it is a bright sunny space. We had a few minor house repair items that were taken care of right away. It was very comfortable and in a convenient location for daily activities.

Great House and Perfect Location

I rented Casa de Arte for a month to explore Santa Fe. For part of my stay my son and his wife joined me. I couldn’t be happier with the house and my entire stay in Santa Fe. My guests agreed that I hit the jackpot with this lovely home. The neighborhood is quiet and centrally located for any activity in Santa Fe. A large grocery store is just a quarter of a mile away, post office across the street and everything else is a ten minute drive away. The rail trail is a five minute walk from the house which is great for walking the dog. The house is super clean, brand new new everything! Wonderful contemporary furniture, very comfy beds and exceptional linens. Kitchen was well stocked with new dishes, glassware, cooking utensils and more. We prepared Thanksgiving dinner with no problems. High end window blinds and two heat zones added to the luxury. Although the New Mexico sun keeps the house warm most of the time. I particularly love this house for its lack of clutter and kitschy stuff. So often homes have so much of the owners collectibles that I find it uncomfortable to stay there. This home is inviting. Total privacy despite close proximity to neighbors who I rarely saw. Nights were exceptionally quiet and star show was breathtaking from the patio! I enjoyed meeting Sondra and Tim who are lovely hosts. I’ll definitely be back to stay at Casa de Arte.

Perfect hideaway!

My husband and I and our two dogs loved our stay in this lovely townhome! Although the house is quite convenient to major thoroughfares, a grocery and hardware store, along with restaurants and coffee shops, it is amazingly quiet and feels like you are a million miles from anywhere. So wonderfully restful at the end of a busy day! Our dogs were happy to have the small yard area to explore and even happier when we walked them around the block or on the little trail that led to a park, and the neighbors that we met out walking their own dogs were all so sweet, making us feel as if we were actually neighbors rather than tourists. The home itself is beautifully updated and spotless on the inside, with everything we could possibly have needed in addition to wonderfully comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again when we are in Santa Fe! Thank you so much Sondra for your wonderful hospitality!

Really, lovely!

My First impression was, wow! One thing that impressed me was, the only piece of paper with instructions on it was the Internet password., versus, a litany of do’s and don’ts. The cupboards weren’t bare, the owner provided organic staples (nice!). The enclosed patio with furniture was wonderful for watching the western sky at sunset. Beds, comfortable! The whole interior is brand new!

We enjoyed our stay tremendous! Location was perfect, ten minutes from just about everything. Super clean and nice having a cleaning lady come in to clean. We stayed there 5 weeks and would definitely return. Owners were super friendly and helpful.

Really cozy and great location

We stayed here for the winter with our pets and it was great! Everything is located within a few driving minutes and a market is right around the corner. Our dog loved the place too. It has a fended in yard so this was the perfect place for people with well behaved pets. We had cozy fires in the fireplace and the place was professionally cleaned for us ever 2 weeks. We love Santa Fe and this was the perfect place to stay at to introduce us to Santa Fe and all its wonders. The owners are also very nice and very responsive in case something needs to be addressed. Highly recommend!

Perfect Property for Extended Stay in Santa Fe!

Casa De Arte’ was perfect for our extended stay as we awaited our new home to be completed. The beautiful contemporary furnishings and original art, natural window light and skylights along with the private patio made the cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bath layout hard to leave. We felt secure in the quiet neighborhood and really appreciated the off-street parking. We loved the neighborhood for walking our pups and made friends with many of the neighbors. The property is centrally located and easy to get around town for shopping or sightseeing. Sondra and Tim were responsive to any questions or needs we had and were more than happy to accommodate. Just Perfect!

My husband and I currently live in Santa Fe. We moved here from California in 2014 partly because we are both artist and the food is great, we love the culture and the scenery. Santa Fe has a really good vibe and we love just walking out the door to hike the dogs.
I grew up in Southern California and my husband grew up in Missouri and Alabama. We met in the 80's through our common interest in photography. We have been married for 34 years and have supported ourselves with our art and photography. We have furnished the walls of Casa de Arte with our own artwork.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this home because it is really cute and cozy. We really like the neighborhood as well. We decided it would be nice to be in a quaint neighborhood rather than a condo complex. It is centrally located, close to the Hospital, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and the Railyard. Only 3.5 miles to the Plaza and Canyon Road.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with the bones of this house. It is small yet designed very well with beautiful brick floors in the living area and wood beam high ceiling. The living area also features a wonderful fireplace with built in bookcase and large glass windows for a view of the garden courtyard. There is also an outdoor storage area for skis and bikes and a fully fenced backyard. The kitchen and dining room have wonderful views of the sunset.
