This riverfront home in Pacific City on the banks of the Nestucca River is "Just Ducky". The waterfront views are relaxing and the home is comfortable. There are 3 spacious bedrooms and an open layout making this the perfect home to enjoy your next trip to Pacific City. The views are tranquil and relaxing, and seeing herons, eagles, otters, deer and ducks is common from the sunny enclosed back deck. The back yard is completely fenced so your kids and lucky dog can enjoy the views too! This home is about one block to the Nestucca Adventures boat launch and kayak, SUP rental marina.

Layout:
2 level home. 2nd level entry has kitchen, deck, living room, dining area. Bedroom with king bed and full master bath. Bedroom with king bed. Bedroom with Double bed. Full hall bath and additional 1/2 bath near the kitchen. Downstairs is all garage (partially accessible to guests). The back yard is fenced. There is no specific water access (no dock or trail to water and the bank is rip-rapped).

"Just Ducky" is on the banks of the quieter east side of the Nestucca River in Pacific City about 1 mile from the beach and about 2 miles from Cape Kiwanda. It is conveniently near the grocery store, marina and restaurants. The field across the street from the house is a wildlife refuge home to several species of birds and other creatures.

Cancellation Policy:
1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

Occupancy Note:
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

Great spot great location

Nice house in a perfect location. Comfy bed. The livingroom could use an update but it’s fine for a few days. Kitchen had all the essentials. Beautiful view out back with a great yard for the dogs. Covered sun porch was nice but it was overrun with spiders and cob webs. Didn’t spend much time in there due to that. An on-site leaf blower and a few minutes might spruce it up. Otherwise it’s a nice place.

Best bang for your bucks!

I almost didn’t reserve this home because of some of the previous reviews but I took a gamble and reserved it. We couldn’t have been happier! It appears the owners have addressed any previous issues and even replaced the carpet with new flooring and paint throughout. No bad odors and the house was very clean. The beds were just fine for our group and the home space is laid out perfect for our group of 6. We look forward to another stay soon!

Great stay BUT.....

The property was very large and had enough room for everyone unfortunately the beds suck they all need to be replaced the master bed caves in the center and is at an angle they'll need new beds I have never slept on a bed that was so uncomfortable it's unfortunate because it's a great property just the beds suck.

Family getaway

Had a great time at this property. Loved the river and the bird viewing from the enclosed deck. Dogs loved the enclosed back yard ! Spacious and very comfortable and well equipped. Very close to beach and accessible to store and local restaurants. Would stay here again!

Lots of room

The property was as listed, lots of room for our family and great customer service dealing with the property management. Other than the carpets needed a deep cleaning, it was a clean house, unfortunately cream carpets are probably not the best choice for a rental. The view from the back was beautiful, except early morning, would become fogged over. Only real issue was the road in front was very busy and noisey, guests sleeping in the front bedrooms complained about the noise. Maybe pack s fan to drown it all. The amount of house for the cost couldn't be best. Over all, I would rent again.

Beach stay on the River

This was our first time ever renting a house while going on vacation ourselves. We didn't really know what to expect, but the house was just as described and advertised. Very nice large house right on the beautiful river about a mile or two from the beach. The rooms were perfect, and the master bedroom and bath were huge! The house was clean and the garage had a lot of cool things to use such as fishing poles, boogie boards and even a crabbing cage. We used the grill without issue, and the fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. Some complaints as previous poster has put: the outside glass encased balcony had so many cobwebs/spiderwebs along with tons of bugs and flies in the webs all around the perimeter. Also the house smelled like an old apartment when you first walked in. Not big issues, but there nonetheless. As for the property management, they were closed earlier than their started closing hours when we got there to check in, so they put our keys in an envelope outside in a box. We were paying with cash so we didn't feel comfortable leaving the cash in an envelope through the door flap. We came back the next day to pay and they were super accommodating. The trash can was also full when we got there, so we had to push our trash really down into the trashcan. Otherwise, very pleasant beach and river trip. Pacific city is a quaint beach town and there was even a little Farmers market we got to go to.

Great Location, Great for families and relaxation

My family had a get together for Labor Day weekend and we enjoyed the home. It is in a great location with amazing views - walking distance to stores and restaurants and we were easily able to get our kayaks into the river right at the house! We enjoyed our stay and were not bothered by any noise or neighbors it was very peaceful and relaxing. The only thing I would say was frustrating was the property management said they would come pick up the trash as the can was overfilling when we arrived and it was never picked up so we had a hard time managing the trash overflow etc. Also the sun deck was amazing but was completely overran with gross cobwebs and insects - thankfully my husband thoroughly swept and cleaned it so we could enjoy it during our stay. Some other downfalls were that the cable did not work and we had to reset router many times to get wifi. Just small details for feeback for the owners and property management. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come stay again - the soaking tub in master bedroom was AMAZING!
