The included 4 apartments each reflecting Old-Style Vallarta charm, allows singles, couples or smaller family units their own privacy while still being part of the larger group (up to 12). A courtyard boasting manicured gardens, rooftop terraces with saltwater pool & bar & stunning views will truly amaze. Our cleanliness and your safety have always been a top priority at Villa Colibri MX.

Lush tropical gardens throughout the Villa provide the ideal surrounding to view the dozens of hummingbirds which visit daily. It’s only fitting that each residence has been named after these magical creatures. A mix of private and shared terraces offer spectacular views of the Town, Banderas Bay, Sierra Madre Mountains and the majestic Crown of Our Lady Guadalupe. A heated rooftop salt water pool, lounge areas and bar provide the perfect day or night setting for rest and relaxation. With an emphasis on outdoor living, the inner courtyard is just one of many areas where groups can gather for business and/or pleasure. Whether it be for a wedding, or a romantic dinner for two Colibri has you covered. Colibri is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping the Gay Village and the iconic Los Muertos beach.

Our staff speaks both English and Spanish and works Monday through Saturday (excluding national holidays). Colibri is uniquely suited to host large and small gatherings such as weddings, reunions, birthdays and corporate and not-for-profit events. A Private Chef and onsite massage can be arranged for an extra charge (subject to availability).

The APARTMENTS
The Loft (ELOISA, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4). This large split-level, TWO bedroom residence with soaring twelve foot ceilings comes with a fully equipped kitchen, and is located on the ground floor of the main house. It offers open-concept living and dining (seating for 8+) and has both a private front and back entrance (walkout to the inner courtyard). Marvellous ocean and garden views compliment the space.

The Chef's Delight (BERILO, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2). This large ONE bedroom residence with fully equipped chef's kitchen is located on the second level of the main house. It's soaring twelve foot ceiling, clay tiled roof and large private terrace (with BBQ, loungers and dining for 8) awaits you. Spectacular ocean, town and mountain views that can't be ignored.

The Penthouse (RUFO, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2). This ONE bedroom gem is located on the third level of the main house. One of the most sought after retreats in the Villa, this residence features a large covered private terrace with dining for 4+. The living room and kitchenette share the outdoor space.

The Guesthouse (CANELO, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms 2, Sleeps 4). This two bedroom, fully detached two-story guesthouse provides the ultimate in private living. It's main level offers open-concept living/dining (seating for 6), fully equipped kitchen and powder room. Its second floor features two bedrooms and a shared full bathroom. The master bedroom has a private balcony with stunning garden and courtyard views.

Amazing property with a rooftop that is to die for!

We went as a group to enjoy the city but couldn’t help but spend extra time at the house because it was just so amazing to be in for almost a week! The staff was attentive and welcoming! Abe made our stay so much fun. He was welcoming and helpful and making sure we had everything we needed at all times! We had a blast and hope to go back again soon!!

Beautiful Retreat

Darrin and Reg are very communicative host who reply quickly! Villa Colibrí Is beautiful! We had 10 people in our group and the property allowed for us to all have private living areas as well as community space to hangout. The property is very well maintained! Very clean! And we could not have asked for better service from the staff at the Villa. The villa is close to bars and restaurants, requires a nice little walk up some stairs and a hill, but was nice excercise I appreciated and know I needed. I would definitely recommend booking this Villa.

No details have been overlooked at Villa Colibri. The house and decorations are gorgeous, the house was spotless, all appliances were functional and modern, all beds were comfortable, and it was a huge plus to have AC in each bedroom. The house is laid out perfectly for a group or for a large family. There are multiple great common spaces with views and the bedroom spaces are private and there are plenty of bathrooms. The rooftop pool, bar, and eating area are a great place to congregate. We never felt cramped and always felt like we had everything we needed. Abe, the house manager, was also incredible: responsive, helpful, and respectful of our space as well. The location is about a ten minute walk from the beach, but we felt like this also allowed us to be a bit farther from the denser tourist area, among respectful neighbors, and had great views. Our group did not have any trouble, but prospective renters should note that the house is about a 3 min walk up a steep hill and is multiple levels with a lot of stairs.

A beautiful and unique stay minutes from everything

Villa Colibri is an incredible find! This was our second visit and it was with a large group of friends for my 50th birthday. We were able to rent out the entire villa and spend lots of time together with plenty of room to spread out and do our own things as well. The renovation of the property and the artistic decor are even more beautiful in person, and each suite is totally unique and has every amenity and comfort. The staff takes things to an even more amazing level. Abe is there to greet you when you arrive and can take care of anything you need. He is funny, friendly and a true friend after two stays there. Pilar is the housekeeper and is a total pro. The entire property and every suite are in great shape every day thanks to these two amazing people! The villa is less than a 5 minute walk to the main shopping and dining area, and you can get anywhere in the Romantic Zone by walking or by a $2.50 US Uber ride. Be prepared for a walk up 2 short but steep hills, but every Uber can get you at least to the top of the first hill. Villa Colibri is definitely our home away from home now PV!

The most fantastic family vacation home

This property delivers. Everything has been meticulously thought about from the communication prior to arrival to the quality of the furnishings. The property is located about a 5-minute walk to the main action of Zona Romantica and reachable via either a short but quite steep hill or an easier set of stairs. We had 3 generations of family between the ages of 5 and 75 staying on the property and we all found the house quite accessible (even in the summer heat!). The property itself is beautiful and totally functional. My family rented the entire property and I stayed personally in Berilo. Every unit is equipped with higher-end amenities and appliances than what I have typically experienced in Mexico house rentals (ice machines in every refrigerator, Vita Mix blender at the bar, two propane bbqs) and everything is beautifully maintained. All the units are well stocked with water, dishes, towels, toiletries, etc. We were there in the hot, rainy season and all the open spaces were tidied up from the overnight rains every morning. Housekeeping is phenomenal. The house manager Abe deserves his own paragraph (and probably some kind of reward) because he is the BEST. So much more than a house manager: he is your welcoming committee, luggage carrier, tour guide, bartender, translator, personal local best friend and EVERYTHING in between. He made arriving and finding the property a breeze and helped us out in countless ways throughout the week. He's great and Derrin and Reg are obviously lucky to have him, a genuinely fantastic person. We loved our stay and will 100% be back for another in the hopefully not so far future.

Amazing place to stay and Abe was the best!!!

We had a great stay here! There were seven of us and the place fit everyone comfortably. It is an amazing place tucked away from the main road and gives you the comfort and serenity that a vacation needs! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Abe and Maria run the place with care and can help you with LITERALLY anything! The floors and stairs outside do get slippery when it rains, so be careful for that. WE LOVED OUR STAY and will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely fantastic

This is a unique and amazing property right in the heart of old town. With 4 separate apartments we were able to have some room to relax away from family after a full day. Kitchens and the flats are fully equipped with everything you could need. The property manager Abe was fantastic and so helpful with anything we needed including running to the grocery store for us while we were out at the beach. This place is a 12/10 and would absolutely recommend it.

A phenomenal weekend

I cannot say enough positive benefactors of this villa. My group of friends and myself fell in love and had a truly unforgettable weekend. To start, the pictures are extremely accurate and there is an unreal amount of space, which is super beneficial when travelling with couples/family. Their SUPER HOST Abe was an absolute gem and if you are looking for any kind of excursion, he might as well be an open book. The girls that cleaned were amazingly sweet too, and overall, my group is already asking me when are we going back. The location is also about a 7 minute walk from a plethora of bar/restaurants and the beach is about 10-15 min walk. Again, I highly recommend this listing for those looking for adventure, comfort, and even relaxation. Do keep in mind as it is Puerto Vallarta and there are mountains/hills (and the villa itself is a larger space), there are many stairs, so if stairs are not your thing, that's ok, but you may not enjoy the listing as much. Again, many many thanks to Abe and the girls, we had one of our favorite weekends here.

Awesome Hillside Villa in PV

This property is amazing, but there’s so much more to enjoy than just the villa itself. Location is great. A 2-3 min walk into town and a nice calf workout walking back up the hill to the house, worth it every climb. Beyond that, Abraham (Abe) is arguably the best part of the property. He’s great, hilarious, resourceful, and incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend this villa and meeting Abe and enjoying a near-downtown yet hillside PV rental. Thanks to Darrin, Reg, and Abe for being great hosts!

After several trips to Puerto Vallarta, I can honestly say our stay at Villa Colibri outshined anywhere else. The villa is brand new yet feels authentic and traditional. There is a true design aspect obvious in every space of the incredible indoor and outdoor living. Every detail is thought of and catered to. The staff were attentive and the the space was meticulously kept and secured. With no nightclub noise, our stay was relaxing and I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We've been together for 6 years and Vallarta has long been our favorite beach town. Although Washington, DC is our primary home in the spring, we have chosen beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as our tropical home away from home.

Why they chose this property

Villa Colibrí MX won us over the minute we entered the front gate. Lush tropical gardens greeted us and as we made our way to the inner courtyard we knew in an instant that we wanted to share this charming Villa with the world.

The original design of the main house allowed us to create four sophisticated Hacienda-styled residences each with their own living/dining and kitchen areas. Six bedrooms in all, with two on the ground level, one on the second level and one on the upper level. An additional two bedrooms can be found in the detached Casita (cottage). Above the large orchid tree of the inner courtyard floats a bridge that links the two rooftop entertaining spaces which include the sunken pool, bar and spectacular views.

With Villa Colibrí MX, we think that we’ve captured much of what Mexico means to us. And now, we wish to share it with you and make your stay at our Villa your most memorable ever in Vallarta.
