Great Cabin in Nature
This is a lovely place to stay! You walk out onto the deck to great mountain views, there is easy access to great hiking, and we saw elk, deer, moose, bear, and coyotes from the cabin.

Peaceful relaxing
We had a wonderful time avoiding crowds of people. Lots of hiking on the property that connects to Roosevelt National Forest trails. We loved the large deck and cabin windows that gave you a constant view of the beauty you are surrounded by.

Peaceful happy home
This property and its owner are wonderful. The view around the outside of the cabin was breath taking. The cabin sit up on a rocky hill with mountains and valleys surrounding it. There are also wild life that surrounds the cabin. While we were here we seen moose, elk, rabbits, birds of all kinds and chipmunks. Lots of areas to hike and very secluded and peaceful. Will definitely come again!!

2022 Family Vacation
We honestly didn't know what to expect. The planning of this vacation with timed permits and rental properties was stressing me out! This cabin kept popping up in my suggestions and so I finally clicked on it. It looked cute, rustic and not in the popular areas so we took a chance and booked it. WE STRUGGLED getting out to Colorado from Michigan and my friend said to me, "your vacation must be pretty epic if it's such a struggle to get to it"...and she was right. The photos in this listing do NOT do it justice! The views from this quaint and cozy cabin are beyond breathtaking! Every morning I would climb up the rocks behind the cabin and watch the sunrise over the mountains! Entering a different time zone that allows that was such a blessing! We saw Elk in the meadow more than once, grazing and basking in the sun! We were blessed with one sunset over the mountains and it was incredible! We hiked daily in the RMNP and even spent one day in the RNF. We honeymooned in Estes Park 17 years ago and LOVED the town but it is sadly over populated now. I highly suggest traveling to Jamestown, Nederland or Lyons if you want that small mountain town feel! Jim was incredible to communicate with, helped us with fishing spots and made our stay stress-less! We reconnected as a family (with teens and phones that is hard) and that alone was worth every traffic jam, accident, altitude sickness and flat tires! <3 it Truly was an epic vacation! I feel my husband and I will be back many times once the kids "fly the coop".

Very special place, Happy Home
You can sit on the deck and watch the elk come into the meadow in the evening. Saw two elk fawns in the herd. Also saw a moose. Great place for sunset, quiet and solitude. Night skies were brilliant with stars. Not many places where you can be glamping and have all the comforts of home.
