This house is perfect in every way. It was clean, spacious yet homey, and such a bonus that it has two masters downstairs. The upstairs has ample room for teens or kids to sleep. We had a wonderful time sitting on the back porch overlooking Lake Bowen in the afternoons, and our teens enjoyed hanging out in the lake on a large 4 person float that we brought with us. You will not be disappointed with this little gem.

Perfect Lake Getaway

This house is perfectly situated for a fun stay at the lake! The house is roomy and comfortable for a large group or family! Great screened in porch for outdoor dining and house had everything you could need for a great getaway! Owner and House manager we’re both very helpful and responsive to our questions:) definitely plan on returning!

We had a tremendous stay at Jo’s Lake Bowen Retreat. Jo was very responsive to all the questions we had during our visit.The house truly has everything required for an enjoyable and relaxing time. The view and outside areas, including the dock, were a wonderful bonus for us, especially for the fishing enjoyment of our three grandchildren.We used the house as a base for my granddaughter's state band competition—which they won! We will definitely be looking to rent again in the future.

Wonderful lakehouse

Rented for my wedding party. Was a mile from my venue. House is very clean and nice and would love to stay there again. Highly recommend as a wonderful get away.

Lake Hideaway

Wonderful 5 days! Came into the area for a basketball tournament and it was the perfect retreat from gymnasiums!! The outdoor screened porch is fantastic for your morning coffee or evening cocktail! We rented a pontoon, it was delivered to our dock!! Awesome couple hours driving the lake.

Super relaxing time on Lake Bowen

All of the family loved the location on Lake Bowen. The house had plenty of room for all 11 of us. As one relaxed in the screen-in porch the rest of us floated in the lake. The little cove was perfect away from the main traffic on the lake. Everything was provided for our stay. We want to come back and are considering this location over the beaches of the gulf coast.

Family Gathering

We were attending a neice’s wedding in Columbus NC. This lake home was a great place to relax. Before and after the festivities. The kids especially like the upstairs “dorm” life. The lake made for a great backdrop with beautiful misty sunrises and colorful sunsets!

Delightful Weekend Getaway

I thought this house was so perfect for a weekend stay at the lake. I especially enjoyed the kitchen which was well-equipped for cooking. The outdoor screened - in porch was another area that our family really loved. The upstairs children's bedroom with 4 twins and 4 trundle beds was also a nice spot to allow the children to play away from but within earshot of adult supervision! Our grandkids enjoyed swimming off the dock and along the bank of the lake. So thankful for a wonderful weekend!

Softball retreat

My family along with two other families stayed at the Pretty Lake Bowen SC Retreat. It was terrific! The scheduling was very smooth. The view of the lake and the amenities of the house was wonderful. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and perfectly located. The host pays attention to all of the little details, and the place is well stocked with anything you would need. We booked the retreat due to our daughters' softball tournament in Spartanburg. It was super convenient and such a nice relaxing place to come back to after a day at the fields instead of a hotel. We would definitely love to come back!
