About the neighborhood:
The apartment is located on the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city of Siracusa and Unesco Heritage. Ortigia is about 1 square km of pure poetry between the characteristic alleys, which open onto breathtaking monuments and sunsets over the crystal clear sea. The magic of Ortigia and Siracusa will fascinate you for all 24 hours: the transparent waters for a swim just 150 mt from home, the freshest fish and the folklore of an ancient and colourful Sicilian market, the prestigious museums, the Greek Theatre and the Archaeological Park. In the evening, an aperitif staring at the sunset and to conclude your evenings, Sicilian food awaits you in the many restaurants of the area!

Getting around:
If you want to enjoy the Island of Ortigia and the marvelous attractions in Siracusa, like the Archeological Park, the Greek Theatre, the Fountains, the Dom Square, its prestigious museums and much more you don't need a car.
Most attractions can be reach in a few steps, including having a swim in the morning before your tourist tour! Everything is literary just around the corner.
Some other attractions outside the island but still in the city of Siracusa can be reached with the tourist bus lines and the closest bus stop is less than 100 mt from the house.

If you don't want to miss the stunning sandy beaches,the amazing marine protected area of Plemmirio and the Sicilian southeast coast attractions the best option is to rent a car.
