About this property
Northshore Pupukea Getaway up the hill from the best beaches on of Oahu
Pupukea Highlands sits above Waimea Bay and the magnificent beaches that are referred to as the “7 mile miracle” that makes up the North Shore of Oahu. Waiamea Bay is the birthplace of big wave surfing. Pipeline possesses the reputation of the worlds most beautiful and dangerous wave. Sunset beach is power surfing at its finest. These well known beaches are a very short drive from our beautiful properties. My family’s one acre properties that were once part of a large farm are now homes with banana and avocado trees, along with beautiful indigenous plants native to Hawaii. The 1000 foot elevation and five minute drive to the beaches provide a cool and serene alternative to the quicker paced, people watching and warmer Kamehameha Highway District. Along with Pipeline and Sunset Beach, Haleiwa makes up the final piece of the Triple Crown of Surfing. A seven mile drive takes you to the quaint former Plantation town of Haleiwa which boast eateries and shopping that have been featured on syndicated food and travel channels. Fishing, diving, zip lining, surfing, paddling, snorkeling, cycling, sailing, shark expeditions, bird watching and skydiving are just some of the activities that are available. The upstairs 2 bedroom unit has a tree house effect that offers a peek at Mount Kaala, the ocean, and the adjacent properties. This unit is designed for 5 but are expandable to accommodate 7 with newly remodeled kitchen and bath and a wraparound deck with large lanai perfect for entertaining and star gazing. All units have TV and Wi-Fi. 30 NIGHT BOOKINGS REQUIRED. INQUIRE FOR MORE DETAILS. Price depends on time of year, length of stay and number of guests. Contact 510-381-0268.

If you’re not crazy about the Waikiki craziness, seriously consider staying at this little piece of heaven!
Ana is a wonderful host and the property is divine :)
Great place stay & to relax. North coast beaches, Banzi Pipline stunning.
Excellent facilities.
Very much enjoyed our stay, Annegret was welcoming & helpful.
Thank you.
Excellent communication with owner! Extremely clean rental. Equipped with everything we need and very comfortable beds. Beautiful property very close drive to beaches, restaurants and sightseeing. Highly recommend. Five star rating!
My family of three had a wonderful stay at this property. The host Alan was perfectly attentive and helpful. We would stay here again for sure. The location is just a few minutes drive from the Foodland grocery store in Pūpūkea and exceptional local beaches including Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay and the waterfalls. Safe and quiet neighborhood spot. Highly recommend. Mahalo Alan and Anne!
We had fresh bananas from the property waiting for us when we first arrived. Check in was easy and straightforward. The on site assistance was so great , we really enjoyed the entire property. There are resident chickens that live at the site, plus some amazing gardens to explore. You can see parts of north shore views from the deck. A beautiful place and host made us feel very welcome, thank you!
The home looked better in person than in the pictures. It was a beautiful property and the home was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive to questions. I'd certainly return again with our family. Incidentally we occupied both the bottom and top homes to accommodate our family of 10 and it was the ideal situation.
Perfect Base From Which to Explore the North Shore
We stayed here with our family of 5. Anne called once we had booked the property to enquire about how she could support our stay with bedding arrangements for the kids - we knew we were onto a winner! The accomodation is fresh and very well maintained with an elevated deck to take in the views and catch the breeze. The location is perfect, up the hill in a quiet area but only 5 minute drive to Foodland, Food Trucks and Waimea Bay Beach. We would stay here again when we next visit the North Shore! The kids were very excited to try the fresh bananas and lychees from the garden and we loved the North Shore ideas and suggestions from the owner.
First impression was how clean and fresh the place was when we entered. This was our fourth and final rental on our 5 week Hawaiian vacation and by far the best place we stayed at. It is a much nicer place than the photos showed. Located in a quiet residential area. Nice evening breeze cools the place down. Lots of space in the common rooms and bedrooms. Great communication with Annegret from booking to arrival! We had a late flight out and Alan offered us an extended stay on our departure day as the place was available. Really appreciated being able to stay and enjoy the beach one last time. Definitely stay here again should we find ourselves on Oahu. Mahalo to Annegret and Alan.
This was the perfect little place for our family of 3. The location was awesome, we love the area and it’s just a 4 minute drive to the beach. The house was tidy and uncluttered so easy to keep clean. The deck was a great place to hang out day or night. The breeze coming through the open windows and doors felt so good you didn’t even need the ceiling fans. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and well taken care of. We enjoyed the chickens and the occasional visit from one of the kitty cats. We also had fun chatting with the owner. She makes it a point to meet all her renters which we found to be surprisingly pleasant. She was so kind to share delicious avocados and bananas grown right on her property. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return again soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Condo nice - poor access procedure
The apartment was as described in the advertisement. It is sufficiently large for 4-6 people. The equipment was adequate. The location is remote, therefore very quiet.
The large patio invites you to relax and enjoy the sunset.
Unfortunately, the key delivery did not work, because we did not get the necessary keycode for the key safe, the owner was not on site and no one else could give us access. After waiting 5 hours at the apartment and trying countless times to reach the owner, we had to spend the first night in the hotel, which cost us another 400USD. This was also the recommendation of VRBO, after we called there looking for help.
Unfortunately, even after our departure, the owner has not contacted us to clarify the problem.
Absolutely beautiful property a short drive from all the best spots in N. Shore!
-meticulously maintained
-comfortable & well stocked
- beautiful lanai was a great place to enjoy coffee or a cocktail
- great location - close to grocery store, food trucks, restaurants and the best beaches!
- loved the apple bananas provided by host
- Must do CLIMB works zipline & Toa Luau both nearby!
Mahalo for a wonderful trip! Hope to stay at one of your properties again in the future.
Oahu was lovely the VRBO experience with this owner was not
Upon our arrival the owner had no instructions or information written down anywhere. She relayed all info either over the phone or in person and quite frankly we are used to not seeing the owner when we rent. We expected to see a binder of information instead but there was none. She barely had enough sheets and towels for all and charged $2.00 for each load of laundry. The owner charged us for additional people but did not provide us with adequate supplies for the week (towels, blankets, pillows, etc). The beach chairs were old and broken. We shared a driveway with another tenant which included opening and closing a gate manually each time we left or returned. Beautiful home in the north shore area, but felt invaded on by the owners living on the property in such close proximity.
The apartment and location are as nice or even better than what you we expected from the listing and photos. Just be aware that this is the upstairs unit of a rental double. If both parties keep all windows open and make use of the generous outdoor living spaces as the climate demands, the tenants downstairs hear everything you say and do, and vice versa. Whatever TV show they watch you will listen to. If they run the dyer at 5 am you won't sleep. You get the picture... If that possible lack of privacy does not bother you, the place is picture perfect.
The property was as advertised, quite neighborhood, great views and felt like home away from home. Property owner was friendly and helpful. Having the use of beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling gear on the property was a bonus!
