Relaxing , cozy , comfy , spectacular sunsets , incredibly comfy bed & the best outdoor shower !!! Will definitely be back this fall !!! 5 stars indeed !!!
Property was excellent. Clean and very quiet. Past reviews are definitely correct. Could not have asked for any better. I would recommend to everyone you won’t be disappointed. Will be back next year!
We discovered this place online and were immediately drawn to it. Upon arriving, we realized pictures couldn't capture all of true beauty.
We explored several charming country stores, enjoyed delicious meals at local restaurants, visited Taylor Farm, and took in the beautiful foliage. The Trout Cabin is a hidden gem, exuding happiness and tranquility.
It was a wonderful little cabin we had a great time just to unwind..
I was celebrating both kids going to college and doing something nice for myself and I invited a friend to come along.. Beautiful property has everything you need really really enjoyed it!
We we were here almost exactly a year ago to celebrate a belated honeymoon of our marriage in August of 2023. We loved it so much the first time we booked it for this year only weeks after returning from our first visit. Unfortunately for this trip, my wife was sick almost the entire week we were up there, so obviously that put a damper on our trip, but it had no reflection on the cabin and how much we loved it. We even said to each other that if there was ever an ideal place to rest and recover, it would be here at Trout Cabin.
Spent a good amount of time fly fishing on the pond, but the trout totally eluded us. We were able to get out and fish on the West River, the Waloomsic River and at Lowell Lake toward the end of the week when my wife felt better.
My husband, dog and I enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable visit at Trout cabin! The little cabin has everything you could think of needing, and was a perfect getaway. Would love to come back again in the future!
We loved quiet coffee looking over the pond in the morning, and amazing stargazing at night (there for cloudless new moon). Our water dog loved access to the pond. The nearby homes are barely visible and a not intrusive. The cabin is well equipped and kitchen is easy for making breakfast and simple meals for two. We didn't use the loft, since only 2 of us. We hiked in the area - many choices, tho most involved a small drive. Hiking Magic Mountain was fine, but other hikes much prettier and better maintained.
We had a wonderful time, the cabin is perfect and well set up. The views are amazing and there is NOTHING like listening to the frogs in the pond in the morning. We'llb e back
An amazing get away hidden on the edge of the woods overlooking a pond. Extremely private with every amenity desired. Owners were very easy to reach and very accommodating. Cabin was very clean and furnished with dishes, sheets, towels, and robes. Outdoor shower was an added bonus. A fire pit with wood was available as was a rustic deck to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. A definite 5 star and will definitely return for a longer stay!
We had a peaceful week at the property. It’s nice, cute, and full of character. There s no AC in the cabin so the temperature can be a bit high around 4-6pm, but most of the day it is chill and nice (around 20-25C).
This cabin was exactly as pictured. The hosts were lovely and easy to communicate with if necessary. It’s set on a beautiful mountainside with a private pond. It was very clean and exactly what we were looking for. The outside shower was refreshing with a view. We found some really cute restaurants in the surrounding towns. It was also great that we could bring our pup and she loved it. If you a looking for a peaceful, quiet stay in the mountains this is it. The foliage in the fall here must be amazing, we may try to visit again then.
Wonderful return visit to the Trout Cabin with our new pup. Enjoyed the hike around Lowell Lake and exploring Manchester. Husband caught a decent brown trout our last day!
This little cabin is so sweet and special. Such cute decor and so clean. It is wonderfully quiet and private, while having a short drive to grab groceries or a bite to eat. Truly the best of both worlds. We have stayed here twice now and cannot wait to go back! I cannot recommend this place enough. 5 million stars!
This is the 3rd time my wife and i visited this charming cabin. Nothing can compare to the peace and quiet here. The cabin is gorgeous and we love all of the thoughtful touches. Thank you so much! We will be planning our next visit!
It was an amazing, and cozy spot. Shout out to fisherman Santa and Phil the deer. They were amazing hosts. The bed was amazingly comfortable and all the amenities were in point.
I had a very peaceful stay at the cabin. Exactly what I needed. I went alone for a relaxing stress-free weekend and the cabin delivered. I enjoyed quiet mornings with coffee while relaxing on the porch. It is extremely quiet and well equipped. In the evening the wood stove warmed the entire cabin and created a tranquil glow.
The interior is very well decorated and has a comfortable rustic charm. The outdoor shower was remarkably warm and felt good even on a 48-degree day. My second day I was able to connect with a nice healthy brown trout from the pond. The cabin is a welcome escape from the day-to-day hustle and bustle. I would definitely return.

the trout cabin was fantastic, cute little cabin located in a corner or the property. We enjoyed our stay, it was cold and rainy the last two days, but with the wood stove, it was so cozy. Thank you
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. The scenery here is spectacular. The area was quiet and the people were friendly. The hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend staying here. Looking forward to a return stay.
