The house was very nice. Some of the lamps, lights, and ceiling fans need to have bulbs replaced. Some of the ceiling fans have broken pull chain, which prevented us from turning on the lights.Water pressure in the upstairs tub/shower combo was not good, even with the valve all the way open.

Hi Kimberly, I’m sorry that our beautiful home was missing light bulbs. The fan lights without chains are controlled by wall switches. I will see that my cleaners replace any old bulbs. Thank you for coming.
Loved the location, host was attentive to our question both prior to and during our staff. If felt like home while we visited our son for the first time since he moved to the area.

The house is a beautiful Victorian home. The owner was very nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The water pressure and airflow could use some work. It was warm upstairs and no more than two people can take a shower at the same time.
Beautiful historical home! Very spacious! We had a girls weekend with 4 of us and had a great time. It was in a great location and walking distance to many restaurants and parks and the Lovers Oak
This is a beautiful historic home. Lots of room and very comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and within walking distance to a lot of things. We loved our stay here!
property was fantastic; perfect for our needs and Danielle always kept me informed of what we needed to do. Check in was seamless and easy. This was our second time staying at this property and will be back in the future
Super, historic house in lovely, safe neighbourhood with many similar properties. The house has everything you could possibly need, very well equipped. I thoroughly recommend. It's huge!

Thanks for coming Alan! Hope you'll return for a longer stay!
My family and I came to celebrate my father’s 90th Birthday! We decided to stay in this area as it was close to both St Simon and Jekyll Island, it was almost equal driving distance for all to meet coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Atlanta and Asheville. The home is amazing with plenty of room! The neighborhood was beautiful and within walking distance to nearby restaurants and shops. We enjoyed visiting on the front porch and making family meals that were enjoyed in the large dining area. Everyone thanked me for planning and choosing this home. Creating memories to last a lifetime! We definitely plan to come again!

Thank you for coming to our Brunswick home. I hope you and your family will visit again soon! Danielle
This property has been lovingly restored. The home is huge and great for bigger groups. A couple of issues we experienced were addressed as quickly as could be considering we were there on a holiday weekend. The location was convenient to Brunswick, St Simons and Jekyll Island.

Jennifer, you were a kind and patient guest with the unforeseen challenges. Frontier got everything working again and your good spirit was an inspiration in the face of this. Thank you very much. Danielle
Incredible house on “millionaire’s row” in Brunswick. Nicely restored and everything you could possibly want. Perfect front porch for coffee and a friendly good morning to walkers Good restaurants downtown. Great places nearby to explore like St Simons and Jekyll Island Couldn’t have found a better place for our group Glad we reserved early. I can be pretty critical of places that disappoint. This one definitely did not
The girls and I loved the house. The pictures didn't do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the house. We had lots of room to spread out and read but great places to come together for meals and conversation.
Five college friends made the trip to Ga Fl game. The house is beautiful and the Brunswick Historic area was really fun and different from SSI. We enjoyed everything. Thank you!
Excellent property. Excellent location. Excellent condition. Only negative was the number of steps . Guess this is normal for a historic home. Suggest a sleeping area on lower level since there is a wonderful full bath available.

About the host

I am a practicing psychoanalyst/family therapist and ordained clergy and enjoy having a second home along the coast of Georgia for family and friends, as well as group retreats. When we are not using the property, it is listed for rent so that others can enjoy it and help defray the cost of this spacious sprawling home.
Why they chose this property
The location of this property is remarkable! It is easy to walk to town and window shop, enjoy the local eateries - bakeries, pubs and fine cuisine as well as cross the bridge to the popular tourist areas. It is moments away from the rich marshlands and well-known, but sometimes crowded islands. This beautiful Southern home affords all the fine comforts of small-town living in a historic area while crossing the bridge to beaches and nature.
What makes this property unique
The pictures do not capture the beauty of the hardwood floors, fireplaces in every room, remodeled kitchen, dining room, spacious bedrooms, den, living room, front parlor, utility room, laundry room, and many remodeled bathrooms throughout this 1895 historic home. It has a wonderful feel both inside and out and attracts guests for small getaways and larger gatherings and events.
