The property is situated 2km from the village of Tully Cross in the heart of Connemara. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, the property is a stones throw from the Atlantic Ocean. Ideally situated, with superb sea views and has a dramatic backdrop of the mountains. Enjoy the stunning local beaches (1.5km and 4km), hiking, deep sea fishing or fly fish the local mountain lakes and rivers. For the even more adventurous, try scuba diving at the Scuba West Centre (5.5km) or one of the many adventure activities at the Killary Adventure Centre (13km). The village of Letterfrack is a short drive from the house (6.5km) and it is the home of the Connemara National Park. The house is located 20km from the market town of Clifden which has a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars.

Wir waren hier 1 Woche auf unserer Rundreise durch Irland. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und hat speziell vom Wohnzimmer einen supertollen Blick auf's Meer. Dort kann man es sich auch bei Regen mit einem Tee und einem guten Buch gemütlich machen. Die im Inserat versprochene Renovation ist aber schon etwas her und betrifft auch nicht alle Räume. Trotzdem haben wir uns die Woche sehr wohl gefühlt. Zwei Sachen hätten besser sein können: Das versprochene Internet ist superlahm und wird über einen Mobilfunkrouter realisiert. Anscheinend teilt man sich die Zelle mit vielen Mitbenutzern, denn i.d.R. hatten wir Download-Geschwindigkeiten von unter 1 Mbps, am Abend regelmässig auch deutlich drunter. Früh am Morgen habe ich in der Spitze mal für ein paar Sekunden 3 Mbps erreicht. Also das digitale Detoxing mit einplanen... ;) Und die Sauberkeit der Küche war wirklich verbesserungswürdig.

Sehr schönes Haus mit phantastischem Ausblick auf den Atlantik. Es war alles Bestens, wir haben unsere Zeit in diesem tollen Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Alles ist sehr geräumig, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Bei dem tollen Blick kann man gut auch ein paar Regentage im Haus verbringen.

Vacances exceptionnelles dans un lieu exceptionnel Une maison avec une vue plongeante sur le paysage irlandais, de toutes les fenêtres…On gardera longtemps les images de cette vue face à la mer, vraiment magique !La maison est grande, décorée avec goût. On s’y sent bien.Un endroit idéal pour découvrir le Connemara.

Das Haus hatte einen wunderbaren Blick über das Meer, abends gab es beeindruckende Stimmungen. Das deutsche TV hat uns nicht gefehlt. Das Haus war gut eingerichtet und insgesamt sehr großzügig von den Räumlichkeiten. 2 Schlafzimmer waren schön eingerichtet und renoviert. Die anderen beiden haben nicht zum Wohlfühlen eingeladen. Ein Auto ist auf jedem Fall notwendig. Die Gegend ist ein Träumchen. Im nächsten Ort ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant zu finden, leider erst am letzten Abend entdeckt. Es ist direkt gegenüber der Kirche. Wunderschöne Strände laden zum Schwimmen ein, wenn das Wetter stimmt.

La vue est encore plus belle que sur les photos. Toute la famille a apprécié le salon avec sa vue incroyable sur l’ocean. Le gîte est très bien situé. Notre hôte a repondu a toutes nos questions.

Traumhafte Aussicht, tolles Haus

Das Haus ist toll mit einem sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieter. Es liegt direkt am Wild Antlantic Way und die Aussicht aus dem Wohnzimmer ist genial. Man kann auf dem Sofa liegen und das Meer betrachten. Es gibt vier Schlafzimmer, ein großes Bad und ein kleines, welches direkt an ein Schlafzimmer angeschlossen ist. Die Betten sind bequem und es funktioniert alles super. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, so dass man dort sich selbst verpflegen kann. Wichtig ist, dass man ein Auto benötigt oder gern mehrere Kilometer läuft. Strand (also Zugang zum Wasser), Einkauf, Pub usw. sind 2 km Minimum. Wir waren mit unseren Ausflügen nur ca. 50 km im Umkreis, aber hatten sehr viel zu sehen und zu besuchen. Fazit: Für einen ruhigen Urlaub ideal.

Zauberhaftes wildromantisches Irland

Schönes Ferienhaus mit einem wunderbaren Panoramablick über den Atlantik. Würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen. Im Ferienhaus gab es keinen Fön, wäre sinnvoll diesen mitzubringen. Das Haus liegt in wildromantischer Umgebung mitten im Connemara Naturpark. Galway, das kleine hübsche Stätdchen Cliften und Westport bis Achill Iland mit seinen schönen Stränden sind in ein bis zwei Stunden gut erreichbar. Zu den Cliffs of Moher sind etwa 3 Stunden. Wir hatten tolles Wetter und eine gelungene, entspannte Zeit in einem wunderschönen Land.

Magnifique séjour

La maison est encore beaucoup mieux que sur les photos, le coin salon est tout neuf avec de beaux canapés. La vue est extraordinaire, le contact avec le gérant hyper facile. Idéalement placée pour visiter tout l'ouest du Connemara. Une merveille !

Wunderschönes Feriendomizil

Wir haben eine Woche lang mit Familie und Freunden in diesem herrlichen Haus mit großartiger Sicht auf den Atlantik verbracht und jede Minute genossen. Neben viel Platz für alle (wir waren vier Erwachsene und zwei Teenager) gab es nichts, was wir im Haus oder am Haus vermisst hätten. Es war ruhig gelegen (ohne Straßenlärm o.ä.) sehr gepflegt, charmant modern eingerichtet und wir wurden durch kleine Mitteilungen schnell mit Allem vertraut gemacht. David stand uns zudem jederzeit mit Rat und Tipps zur Verfügung. Danke! Eine große gemütliche Wohnküche bot Platz für ausgedehnte Mahlzeiten und Spieleabende. Das Haus liegt auf einer Anhöhe, so dass man einen traumhaften Blick auf`s Meer hat und in ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg kann man sogar eine kleine Bucht erreichen und die Füße eintauchen. Die Nachbarn waren sehr freundlich und empfahlen uns Abkürzungen über ihre Grundstücke zum Strand (klein aber fein - bei Ebbe!) zu nehmen. Wir haben viele Ausflüge von diesem Haus aus gemacht, waren wandern, baden, surfen und Bootfahren und haben die Inishbofin umwandert und spektakuläre Küstenabschnitte erobert. Wir waren nicht das erste Mal in Irland und sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Dieses Haus ist toll und unbedingt empfehlenswert.

A beautiful view

We had a lovely stay at this Renvyle house. It was comfortable for four friends traveling together and the kitchen was well equipped. It’s location is great for seeing many sights and the little towns of Letterfrack and Tully Cross are charming and friendly. My only suggestion is that the owner disclose in the description of the property that one should not drink the water but buy bottled instead.

Heerlijk huis met goede bedden, schoon en prachtig uitzicht. Ligt in gebied Connamara, veel te zien, natuur, leuke dorpjes. De eigenaar geeft tips voor trips en lekker eten

West Winds Connemara Stay.

Process of renting was very smooth. Host was always responsive to enquiries. Lovely property with awesome views. Some of the bedrooms need updating. One room was particularly cold as the window was misaligned but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Magnificent sea view

No need for TV or pictures on the wall when you have mesmerising views like these. Very spacious, clean and comfortable property. We all loved this place.

Amazing holiday

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Westwinds. The house was fabulous , extremely clean and the photos don’t do it justice !!! The host was so helpful and we couldn’t recommend this house highly enough !

Beautiful location

The house is in an extremely picturesque and beautiful location After a mixup with regard to the initial cleaning the owner promptly put things right. We had a very enjoyable stay and would love to return next year
