The North :

The sugar adventure museum:
Still grapefruit, right next to the garden, there is the Sugar Museum. Which is more than that because it tells the adventure and the evolution of the sugar industry that made living in Mauritius for two centuries. In this former sugar factory, one can see such an impressive machinery that was used to extract the sugar canes, machetes but also taste refined sugars differently and rum.

This is a tea factory and museum. The guides will be happy to show and explain the different stages of production: from harvesting to packaging, through the withering, fermentation, drying and sieving. The 7 colors of land:
This is one of the main natural attractions of Mauritius. Located in a private domain, this is a clearing which has 7 color variations, ranging from ocher, brown, red and purple. This phenomenon is due to the presence of volcanic ash containing mineral oxides of different colors laid bare by erosion for centuries.
The peculiarity of this land is that once mixed, the colors always end not separate. But we can not take land or walk on it to preserve this unique place.
