Bungalow Oaks - Steps from Historical Main Street

Two-night minimum/Four-night maximum. Salado Permit No. STR-20250030
Built in 2018 as a “guest house/dream come true” next to our main residence. We are located at 335 College Hill Drive one block from Main Street. Short walks to restaurants, a popular creekside microbrewery and convenient to shops and local eateries. Our Bungalow Oaks has an attached carport, and the main room has a king-size bed next to a massive antique armoire. A separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and antique vanity has all the privacy of home. The coffee bar has a small refrigerator, an ice maker, a pod-type coffee maker and a microwave. For morning and evening relaxation there are two oversized rockers on the back porch for bird watching and deer viewing along the dry creek below.

Bungalow Oaks is the perfect getaway place. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay special , from the fresh homemade blueberry muffins left for breakfast in the refrigerator to the bottle of wine to help celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Very comfortable bed, wonderful shower and relaxing back porch to have your coffee. Very close to the heart of town and an easy walk to the shopping and hang out areas. This will be our go to place to stay when we are in the area.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about Bungalow Oaks! From the decorations to the quaint feel, relaxing on the back porch listening to nature and watching the deer each morning, could even hear the majestic church bells chime while drinking our morning coffee. Salado truly is the best kept secret in TX. Shopped boutiques and great antique spots! Walked to dinner and live music just minutes away. Pat and Marsha really are hosts with the most! They even welcomed us with delicious blueberry muffins. If I ever find myself near Salado again I’ll certainly hope to stay at Bungalow Oaks!

Our hosts were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had to deal with some weather issues and they were very accommodating. The bungalow was lovely and had everything we could possibly need. We were celebrating an anniversary and our hosts gifted us a bottle of wine and snacks. We will definitely visit again.

Amazing location

Bungalow is literally steps to restaurants and salado glassworks but it feels like you’re in the woods! It has everything you need and the muffins were delicious!
