If you are looking for something convenient, quaint and close to all activities, this place is awesome.Host is great and kept us well informed. Hot tub was nice after a long day of skiing and snow mobiling. Plenty of places to rest your head too, this was a great place for our group. When you think a ski cabin, you think of this place, no frills but exactly what you need.
Loved the cabin location so close to Mount Snow, the cozy wood-burning stove and the hot tub! It was just what we needed! Communication with the host was by text and perfect. He was attentive, but not intrusive. Will definitely consider this trip again next year!
Great place to stay to celebrate NYE! While the home is small, it’s cozy and can accommodate a surprising number of people on beds. Hard to beat the covered hot tub on the back porch! Dennis was GREAT with communication throughout!

Overbearing host, no frills cozy cabin
Host was overbearing throughout the stay (texted multiple times per day about random things). Then at the end was very upset that we didn’t wipe down the counter and stove (said it wasn’t included in 225 cleaning fee and sent multiple essays). He then forced a guest to pay 50 in order to come pick up a forgotten jacket/as renumeration to wipe down a counter, telling him to “be a man.” Strange behavior by the host - put a damper on things - but the cabin itself was pretty good for a ski weekend. Cozy, no frills, stayed warm.

Response from VrboOwner on 25 Feb, 2025
Renters lied and left place a mess. Have photos of mess and said i was gonna submit for security deposit unless paid something. In my rules says house be returned same condition as recd. Clean fee is for hot tub/cleaner. Please call me. Wanna send photos and remove this lying post 5 to 6 ( 24 yr olds) give them bad review not me.
I’ll start with the positives: location of the home was great - close to the mountain, near all restaurants and on a quiet street with no thru traffic. The owner was also very communicative, responded quickly and came by to check in hot tub and drop off more towels. The hot tub was well maintained, easy to use and a nice treat after a day of skiing. Heating worked great, having a washer and dryer was helpful, and rooms were quiet enough so we didn’t hear all the chit chat from the kids.
I think the home has lots of potential but needs some serious decluttering and deep cleaning. There were shoes in the entrance cubby areas, random items all around like old CDs, VHS tapes, printer, multiple places for wood stove items, cleaning products prominently displayed in each bathroom (no toiletries like shampoo or conditioner) vs tucked away where they belong, tons of bedding falling in the closets and in open shelving (unfolded, sloppy). There was clutter almost everywhere we looked. Shower curtain liner was broken and patched up, but honestly needed to be replaced. The couch was falling through as you sit on it and truly needs to be replaced. The refrigerator door was stocked with expired bottles some years expired which took up most of the door space. The value for the money was just not there.
As much as we liked the positives, we would not return unless it was updated, decluttered and very well cleaned.
Perfect mountain house. Walking distance to the shuttle which goes to the mountain. Also walking distance to a couple fun bars/restaurants. Hot tub worked great!
Some friends and I stayed in this cabin for a ski weekend at Mt. Snow. It was the perfect size for our group and extremely close to the mountain. Dennis was a great host and very communicative. The property was accurate to its photos and description. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip!
We enjoyed the quiet of this location. There are many restaurants nearby, 1 within walking distance. The beds were plentiful and comfortable. Plenty of towels were supplied, we didn't use the tv or dvds but there seem to be many to choose from. Wifi was good for our uses. We used the hot tub and the grill. We had a very relaxing weekend.
In searching for a rental for a friends getaway near Mt. Snow, this was the ONLY property available for the weekend we needed that had a hot tub. The hot tub was the only reason we chose this property as there were much nicer properties in the area available. A few days prior to our departure, my girlfriend went online to view the property to see if there was a BBQ grill and noticed a recent review that upon arrival, the hot tub was broken. I contacted the owner and was told that was in fact true, and they were waiting on a part. Needless to say, the hot tub was out of commission for our weekend away. Upon arrival, the place was less than impressive. I could have stayed at my family camp for free with the similar amenities. Fairly antiquated camplike feel. I also love that there's a cleaning fee when the place was covered in dust with visible dust bunnies under the furniture. I asked for a partial refund and was denied.

Nice house, overbearing host, broken hot tub
Dennis has a nice home in a decent location for us to go skiing at Stratton mountain. We chose his home specifically because we were seeking a hottub for our weekend. We arrived and the hottub was broken with no warning. We would've chosen a different home if we had known this. My friends were really excited for the hottub and it put a damper on the weekend.
Its a ski cabin, in a secluded neighborhood, in the woods by Mt Snow, exactly what you would expect: hot tub, wood stove, awesome CD collection. If you're looking for a quite place, this is it.
Two families with teenagers absolutely enjoyed staying in this cozy country house. The house and hot tub were hot despite the really cold temps outside. We had more than enough space and the house was well appointed with every kitchen gadget you can think of. The house was an easy 5 minute drive from the mountain.

Great spot
Dennis was great to work with through the booking process and helped answer questions. He was very responsive. The house is just as described and was perfect for a group ski weekend. It is in a great location, a quick drive to the mountain and you can walk down the road to grab food and drink. The hot tub was an added plus! Great value too. We will be back.

Great ski house!
I stayed here with 8 friends over President's Day weekend and we had a great time. It was so cosy that several people decided that they'd rather stay in the hot tub or around the great wood-burning stove than ever leave the house! The house is in a very good location, walking distance to several restaurants and a shuttle to the mountain (which is only a 7 minute drive away!). We cooked several meals in the kitchen and were happy to find it well stocked.
Dennis was very responsive and called to check on us a couple of times to make sure we were having a good time.
I deducted a star because, with 8 twin beds in the two rooms upstairs, it was rather noisy at night. I don't think that would be a problem if everyone wanted to go to bed at the same time, though.
