Unique, quiet, private, charming suite in the heart of downtown Huntington.

The Chessie Room B and B is located in the old train station in downtown Huntington. It occupies the entire second floor of the old Huntington Bank Building purportedly robbed by the Jessie James gang in 1874. The decor is a nod to Huntington's railroad heritage and feels like home but does not lack any modern convenience. It is within walking distances of many of Huntington's finest restaurants and night spots.

The room made the trip! Proximity to downtown Huntington opened us up to activities we didn't plan and made our experience so much more exciting! The room was clean, and had interesting historical signage on the walls.

This place is adorable! We loved all the personal touches with the decor, and all the little notes around the suite letting us know all the ins and outs. The location is quiet and private and so many places are in walking distance! Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable! Stephen was super easy to get a hold of and to communicate with. Thanks for providing a great place to stay while in Huntington!

Delightful historic bed and breakfast in downtown Huntington, WV. Loved the connections to Huntington’s railroad history and the easy walk to shopping, great restaurants, and the arts. The host had thought if everything a visitor might need. Look forward to returning soon. Highly recommend!!

I just loved this room for our one night stay! Pictures doesn't do justice for this quaint room! I loved the antique details and fell in love with the claw foot tub! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the Huntington area!

This is the cutest, quaint stay. The little historical touches are such a nice touch. Everything is immaculate. The fireplace was so cozy. It’s private & charming. I love Butter it Up & getting gift cards to there for breakfast is amazing. I’d absolutely stay again!

Amazing!

My husband and I wanted a date night in the city and this place was so perfect! The locomotive and area were decorated for Christmas. Loved the historical aspect and the antique decorations. Taps was a great spot to grab a drink and we walked a few blocks for food. Wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you.

Great stay, close to downtown

Overall, this was a very nice stay for me. I was just in town for one night, and this kept me close to downtown and right next to a nice coffee shop to fuel up in the morning. My only inconvenience was that there was no wifi for my use. Stephen was responsive, but we missed connections because I was away from the room until late in the evening. After I left, it turned out that a power strip was turned off, but it was too late to be of use to me. Again, I would recommend this room for others. Charming, clean, and a unique location. Please note that the access was up a set of metal outdoor stairs. If you have any accessibility requirements, this may not be the best choice, but you can clarify with the host.

Historic Room

The room was clean and cozy. From the beautiful windows that look down on the train and visitors center, to the theme, it’s an adorable room. The host was quick to respond to anything we needed. With that being said, the location wasn’t what I expected. Yes this is a very walkable area… but be aware of your surroundings. We encountered a lot of homeless people and aggressive panhandlers. This is not anything the host can control. You just need to be careful and probably drive wherever you are going. It did seem to be a very LGBTQ+ friendly area though. These are just some things to keep in mind, that I wish I would have been better prepared for our trip.

The Chessie Room Was Awesome!

I was in town for an event. The accommodations were excellent. The location was great; I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. Nice views of the old train station and the Ohio River.
