Mountain Retreat on Wooded 23 Acres great for families and friend gatherings

This Beautiful Mountain Chalet is nestled in the woods, set on 23 wooded acres. This property is perfect for rest and relaxation. This spacious home sleeps 18+ people & offers the perfect location to gather with friends and family. It is fully furnished to meet your needs and also near Sweet Water Springs Farm Wedding Venue.

This mountain home is spacious with 7 bedrooms and 3.5 baths with one bathroom on the ground level.

We are an hour from Penn State & Beaver Stadium & are one of the few Air B&B options between PSU & Harrisburg. We are 2 miles off of RT 322 that leads to Penn State. We are also 45 minutes from Carlise (Carlise Car Show) and 30 minutes from The Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg and Hershey Park is 40 minutes away.

Our house has central air and heat on all 3 floors.

If you plan to use the 3rd floor (7th bedroom) an email/text should be sent to us 3 days prior to your arrival so we are sure to have the room set up with the AC or Heat on in advance.

Firewood for the fire pit can be bought locally.

The house is 108 years old and is not in perfect condition but we love it. It is much nicer than a "cabin" but it is not a 5-star hotel. Our home is a mix of rustic and contemporary styles.

celebrated another new year there

we celebrated second new year in a row at this place and could not have had a better time! the house is clean, had enough space for our group of 12 adults, wooden floor perfect for dancing, no neighbours -- enough privacy, our host Jon was responsive and helpful all the time, and the location is very convenient -- there is plenty of stores and restaurants in 5-15 min drive. if you are looking for a getaway for a large group -- look no further :-)

had time of our lives celebrating new year at Jill&Jonathan's house with a company of 12 friends. the place was clean, spacious, had plenty of silverware for all of us, comfortable sleeping spaces, and spacious living room with wooden floor perfect for latin dancing. would definitely love to be their guests again should we decide to spend another weekend in that area!

Great Experience

We had a great experience booking with Jon. We had a very large group and wanted to be able to spend time outside - this booking accommodated both of those things. The field beside the house was perfect for yard games and there was ample space for all 10 of us guys inside the house. Jon was a great host. He communicated regularly with us, and even texted to check in on us during our stay. When I mentioned the grill wasn’t working, he went out of his way to bring us a new one so we could still grill out. I’m happy with our stay, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place for a large group to gather.

Had a group of old buddies get together for the weekend. We played paintball in Linglestown and needed a place for 11. House is absolutely beautiful. Clean and well kept. Communication was great with the owners. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutly an Awsome Property

House was beautiful with and updated kitchen and Bathrooms. Plenty of room to spread out, there were 10 of us and we never felt cramped. Bad weather no problem with two large porches set up corn hole and away we went. We spent most of our time around the fire pit every night enjoying the Adirondack chairs. Looking forward to next years trip already planning dates. Hop e the property in available.

This place was amazing! Very well kept and absolutely gorgeous!

We rented this home for our wedding weekend! It had so much room for wedding prep and an amazing fire pit outside to relax with everyone after the wedding!

A married couple with a set of amazing twins who live on a nearby grain farm. We own and operate a barn wedding venue called Sweet Water Springs Farm in Millerstown, Pa.

Why they chose this property

In high school, I dated a girl who lived here. At age 17, as I stood in her living room, I randomly told her I would love to buy this house someday. As I grew up over the years, I would random;y drive by the property and look down the long lane, and tell my current girlfriend how amazing this house was on the inside and out. 21 years later, and thanks to the power of Facebook, the girl I had dated at 17 found me on Facebook and asked me if I wanted to buy the house that I loved so much as a teen. She and her sister had inherited the house and wanted the house to be sold to someone who had a true appreciation for this 1911 home. She needed lots of work and love, and after finally convincing my wife, we bought this home in early 2016.
