A “Bed and Kitchen”, Whippoorwill Haus allows visitors to enjoy the full kitchen or the convenience of Round Top with many dining options for you to enjoy morning, noon and night! Perfect for "Girls Trips", wedding gatherings, Family Reunions or just a quick couples weekend in The Country! Relax watching deer, horses and Longhorns in the adjacent pastures while swinging under a centuries old Live Oak! No matter what brings you, the fresh air, serene landscapes, beautiful sunsets, and many wildlife sounds will refresh your body, mind and soul!
Whippoorwill Haus First Floor:
The spacious common area is on the first floor with a living room with wood burning fireplace, Smart TV, open dining area, and full-sized kitchen and wet bar.
The kitchen includes: full-size refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, ice machine, utensils, dishware, pots, pans, and assorted glassware. Paper towels, dishwasher pods, dish soap, trash bags complimentary.
Also on the first floor are:
powder room, laundry room, and handicap entrance. The main south porch features comfortable seating with overhead fans and overlooks the longhorn and horse pastures, golf chipping and pitching area, conversational fire pit, open lawn area for yard games, and a distant deer feeder.
Two bedrooms and two private bathrooms.
Bedroom one: king bed, TV, bathroom has a spacious sink and counter, soaking tub, shower, toilet and closet.
Bedroom two: Handicap-accessible King bedroom with access ramp from the outside parking area, TV, and ADA compliant bathroom: shower, toilet, sink and counter.
Whippoorwill Haus Second Floor:
The second floor is accessible by central stairs and includes a sitting area with twin daybed and trundle and two bedrooms with private bathrooms:
Bedroom three: one double and one queen bed, bathroom has single sink, shower and toilet.
Bedroom four: king bed, TV, bathroom has soaking tub, separate shower, double sinks, and separate toilet room.
There is a twin and queen Aerobed with linens available for use in either of the upstairs bedrooms

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Set AC units to 75* in summer months and heater to 55* winter months
Turn off Floodlights every day before leaving house
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please, no self tanning products. If towels or sheets show signs of use, part of damage deposit will be used for extra time needed for cleaning.
No glitter or confetti! Part of Damage deposit will be used for extra cleaning time.
Before departure remove all perishables from the kitchen Refrigerator. Start dishwasher. Place all dirty towels and sheets in laundry room.

Beautiful place for a weekend or Antique Fair
I've been coming to the Round Top Antique Fair for years and this is the best place I've ever stayed - will definitely come back! Beautiful country views, nicely decorated and all the things you need. Debbie is the perfect hostess!

Amazing stay near Round Top
This is a beautiful property that is close to Round Top and all the shops & antique barns. The owner, Debbie, is absolutely wonderful and always keeps the house outfitted with everything you need (coffee, tea, supplies, etc). Highly recommend!

Wonderful girls trip
Our girls’ weekend getaway was absolutely wonderful! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful home and great host!
We had a wonderful weekend at Whippoorwill Haus! The house is beautiful, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need! Debbie, the host was so great and made us feel so welcome. The beds are truly the most comfortable we have slept in! The location of the house was so close to Round Top. It was very easy to go back-and-forth. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband, I, two children and one daughter in law graduated from UT, Austin. Our son in law is a Longhorn by marriage! We all live in Houston and Brenham but get to The Farm as much as we can.
Why they chose this property
My Husbands parents purchased this 300 acre property in 1969. We inherited it in 2007 and have operated it as a small working farm with cows, horses and donkeys. We spend most of the day outside either in the vegetable garden, or working on fences or with the cattle. Our house is located on the property with Whippoorwill Haus so even though you are in the country, you won't feel too isolated! And it's conveniently located just 2 miles from the Square in Round Top. Wine and dine in the gourmet kitchen at WH or at one of the many fine dining locations in Round Top and the surrounding counties!
What makes this property unique
We honestly are never bored at The Farm! There is always something to do. And with Round Top's growth in recent years, there's always a social event going on in town or the surrounding areas! You can experience quiet farm living or a lively small town experience.
