About this property
Hoodwood bed and breakfast
NEW LISTING- At Hoodwood it is all good in this neighborhood, as you will quickly see. This charming 1920 cottage has been restored along with the its neighboring cottages making it a close knit community. Often neighbors gather on each others porches or walk downtown for coffee, dinner, or shopping. Our popular Downtown is only three blocks away. This cottage is tastefully decorated by Nan Myers, who is the owner of Firefly, which has been lighting up Downtown Thomasville, GA. for over twenty years. Hoodwood is a little tongue in cheek as the decor gives a subtle nod to Robin Hood and to Mr. Rogers all at the same time. The point being that we want you to feel apart of our neighborhood and apart of Thomasville, GA. during your stay. Inside we have created a cottage that is cozy, comfortable and good-looking. Each bedroom has high end sheets, blankets, and comforters encouraging a restful night. We have two queens and a pair of twins. Kitchen is fully stocked including our favorite coffee from Crested Butte, Colorado. We encourage you to pick up cheeses from Sweetgrass Dairy, yummy casseroles from Relish ( we love the Wild game), bagels and smears from Empire Bagel.

Y'all were lovely to have, and I hope you will return on your next visit to Thomasville.
We loved our stay in Thomasville! The house was perfect for our group of 6 & very clean.
The coffee beans were a nice touch & delicious.
Would stay here again
Loved the location for walking and access to the town core. Large enough to visit with family who live in the area. the hosts are friendly, kind, available and were responsive.
Such a sweet little place right near down town. The porch swing was such a special touch. We would definitely stay again when we return for Millsaps Training Camp!
We stayed at Hoodwood Bed and Breakfast to attend a football game in Tallahassee and what a smart decision this was. The home was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Walking distance from downtown Thomasville, we enjoyed our walk to dinner and listening to a band in the town’s amphitheater. The homeowner was responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property.
This little bungalow is thoughtfully appointed, and so tastefully and artfully decorated, that we would have been pleased to stay there for good! It’s nestled in a lovely district of historic 19th century homes, and located just a short walk from downtown and all the best of Thomasville. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Thanks for coming! We look forward to having y'all back soon.
We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed the house very much. Built in 1916 it had many unique features being a former carriage house. The owners were attentive and informative.
We love Thomasville & finding this place was a treat. It’s an historic home but modernized to convenient. It has everything we needed. Would definitely recommend
The property managers are fantastic. They live next door to this rental and were accommodating when we arrived. The home is historical and older but has a great feel and is full of warmth. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in Thomasville. It is walking distance to downtown nightlife.
I've stayed in quite a few VRBOs and let me tell you, they are not created equal! This property is well situated on a quaint, tree-lined street blocks from shops and restaurants. Additionally, the host is responsive and works to ensure the comfort of guests. I love Thomasville and hope to visit in the near future. This will be my choice for any future accomodations!
This property is perfect for your trip to Thomasville! It is a charming, older home a short walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. Nan went out of her way to make our stay comfortable - gifting us a bag of whole bean coffee from her favorite coffee shop and compiling a list of her favorite places to eat in the area. (Can I say she nailed the recommendations? I'm still in a food coma.) Definitely check this property out if you're in the area!
I grew up in Thomasville but do not get back there often enough. Hoodwood is an adorably restored cottage from the early 1900s outfitted with all of the modern amenities from top of the line appliances to fast Wifi and smart TVs. It's location is perfect just a couple of blocks from Thomasville's historic downtown. The hosts were amazing and the check-in-check-out process was a breeze. I couldn't recommend this place more for families or couples looking to stay a short walk from the best Thomasville has to offer. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better option.

About the host

Greetings! I am a sixth generation T'villian ( slang for Thomasville, GA.) who wears many hats… I am a shopkeeper of Firefly located just a few blocks away in Historic Downtown, event planner, mom of two teenagers of the male variety, and wife to Greg.
Why they chose this property
I have always been drawn to historic properties and I have always lived in them. You just can't replicate the quality of an older home in a new home. I have always loved this particular cottage that we call Hoodwood. My brother Ben actually bought this cottage and lovely restored it when he first moved back to Thomasville in early 2000's. After a couple more owners, the opportunity to purchase it came up in a casual conversation with the owner and an agreement to purchase was drawn up on a paper towel (seriously). We think it was meant to be!
