My parents, Jim and Sylvia Erickson, took a late-in-life trip to a place my mother had loved all of her life: Mexico. At the original SolMar, they had a special week with an unexpected ending, a surprise of a lifetime: the gift of being original owners at the SolMar, to return each year during Valentines week! Sadly, my father passed away the year after their first visit to SolMar, giving my mother a week to remember him by for the rest of her life. After taking my mother to Cabo for those many years, my sister, Marcia, and I still own and visit Cabo, a home away from home for us, full of memories and family and joy and our love of Mexico!
