Renters BEWARE!
We have never had to write a negative VRBO review until now. We were very disappointed with the condition of the apartment! The dank, musty odor is what hit you the minute you walked into the apartment & the smell was even worse in the bathroom. The condition of the throw pillows on the bed is what made me look further at the mattress. The mattress was dirty with black specs which may be mold. I couldn’t think of resting in the bed. We felt the room was unfit for a 7-night stay & went to a hotel. We immediately contacted the host through VRBO with no response, which prompted us to contact VRBO. VRBO asked if we took pictures which we didn’t since we’ve never been in this position. If this happens to you take pictures which would show the dirtiness but unfortunately not the odor.
We asked for a partial refund, not expecting a full refund but the host never acknowledge our email about the condition of the apartment. VRBO stated they tried to contact the host; however, the host never returned their call.
