We were delighted by this cabin! A definite WOW factor upon entry with the classic A-frame windows overlooking the pond. No view of any neighbors from the house unless you are in the driveway. The layout is a bit strange, but there are plenty of beds and it is a very open concept. They have done a great job with the remodel and have made some beautiful choices for modern decor.
The hot tub worked great, the fire pit was easy, and communication with the host was a breeze. The pond and playground are shared spaces but we barely saw any guests during our stay. It was a LOT of bedding to strip afterwards, but not a big deal and they provided laundry hampers.
My two comments for future guests would be (1) there is NO laundry in this house; no washer or dryer, and (2) there are only two toilets and one of the two bathrooms has limited counter space. Because of this I would find it hard to imagine larger groups of 6+ sharing this space for longer than a few days. I would need my laundry because of the kiddos.
Otherwise, it was an awesome place. Not far from all the major hikes and sites around Hocking Hills. And the hosts were wonderful. Very quick to respond and answered questions. I would consider staying at one of their places again in the future if we are at Hocking Hills. Thank you Ben and Megan.
We loved the location, accessibility to trails, scenic views. The layout of the lodge was conducive to a large family with lots of different interests. Very clean.
This property is spacious and comfortably accomodated me and my staff of 11. All were able to sleep comfortably and had plenty of space to spread out and relax.
We had a great last minute stay at this property. We loved the view. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen well stocked with better than usual with pans and dishes. The hot tub was epic. It was nice to be able to buy wood and charcoal on property.
There could have been more blankets. There is an inch step up between the kitchen and dinning area and where you walk in off the deck that is easy to trip on as well as about a 6 in step up in the loft area that my 4 year old son and mother fell on. The fire place is a bit smaller than expected.
Excellent property for people of all ages to enjoy. The spaces both inside and out were perfection!
This was our groups fourth annual "Friendsgiving Getaway". We always look for something cozy and relaxing yet enjoyable for all of our children. This house and property had it all! It was clean and decorated with a modern rustic feel. Even though the house was perfect for our group, the property itself has been our favorite thus far in regards to our getaways. Having trails, the pond, and a playground on the property made it an experience enjoyed by all! We had the added bonus of enjoying a hot tub on a crisp fall morning with beautiful scenery in abundance. All in all, a wonderful place to escape for a long weekend.
We loved the "cabin". It was clean, unique and very comfortable. It was like a home away from home. A great place to make many future family memories at.
I booked Crockett’s lodge for a week long friends trip. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The rental itself was comfortable and well equipped. We had an issue with the air conditioner, and the property management got someone over to fix it at 10pm! We found out later that another family from our hometown had been in the cabin next to us nearly the whole week, and we didn’t realize it. So even though there are other people around, the space feels generous and private. Highly recommend for any kind of trip, families, events, or a private retreat. The hot tub was large, clean, and well maintained as well.
Just what we needed - a great spot, loved the property, had our own piece of Hocking Hills for hiking and exploring. My kids loved the waterfalls and cave areas, and they spent a ton of time fishing and playing in the yard. House was lovely, we will be back!
We were looking for a place where we could each have her own bedroom and a living space that would allow us to all sit together in one room comfortably. This place is absolutely perfect in my opinion! It’s a beautiful property, and the cabin is tastefully decorated without being too country-cabiny. The owners clearly know what you need when you stay in a place away from home - lots of hooks to hang your stuff, extra towels, a well-stocked kitchen. Plus, it was extremely clean. We absolutely loved it!
We loved our stay at Crockett’s Run! What a gorgeous home. We loved the interior design and functionality of the house. The place was clean and fully stocked with (almost) everything we needed. The only things we noticed were the lack of additional blankets and we struggled a bit with the thermostat (most likely operator error). Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again!
We had a wonderful time at the lodge. The decor was beautiful and the beds were so comfy. Gotta mention the hot tub we really enjoyed it.
Every morning after breakfast we would head down to the pond to fish. We will always remember the memories we made there.
we had such a fun time! The place was very clean and perfect for the gathering we had. The places were a little bit closer than we anticipated but we still had an amazing time!
We really enjoyed our stay at Crockett’s Lodge. The grounds and the lodge itself were even better than expected and had everything we needed for a few days away.
The property was located far enough out it felt secluded, but still gave us great access to activities and places around it. Well kept home with great views and plenty of space on the property. Closer to the neighbors than I expected, but caused no real problems. If you plan on being rowdy, could be something to keep in mind. I really appreciated the wood and charcoal available. Thanks for hosting us.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property had a nice pond and beautiful walking trails. It’s located by many activities. We enjoyed our stay.
