La Petite Maison / The Little house

At the edge of a small typical village, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, the Little House offers a superb view of the "Serra da Estrela" located in the center of Portugal.
Comfortable, new and private (stove in winter and air conditioning in summer) the Little House has a swimming pool to cool off in summer and a shaded terrace for the evening aperitif. It is the starting point for your hikes, sightseeing tours, discovery of this preserved part of Portugal. Attached to Unesco and the World Geopark, the region presents rare and protected geological formations, a little-known gastronomy, timeless village festivals and above all the friendliness of the inhabitants of this country.
The owners who live nearby are always available to inform you of local attractions.
At a walking distance from the village, the Little House stands in the middle of vines and olive trees and offers superb views of the mountain. Cozy, and warm in winter, cool in the summer with its private pool and terrace where to rest with a glass of vinho verde after a discovery walk of your surroundings: this area is part of the Geopark. Come and visit this hidden treasure of Portugal!

Brilliant holiday in Portugal

Wow just wow. The owners of the property is just great. Two lovely people. The property was clean and tidy. The swimming pool was brilliant. Just what you need on a hot day. private and quiet.

Notre Sejour

Nous avons été accueilli avec le sourrire et la gentillesse de Lola, la maison est tres pratique et bien agencée. La piscine est agreable meme si nous avons pas souffert de la chaleur grace a la clim mais surtout aux arbres autour. Une jolie région avec beaucoup de points d'eau pour les enfants. Lola et Vincent nous ont bien conseillés et ils sont restés à notre écoute durant tout le sejour. Nous recommandons vivement car nous avons passeé de tres belles vacances! sejour.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances. Ce gîte est un havre de tranquillité. La piscine est grande et parfaite pour se rafraichir après de belles journées de visites. Lola et Vincent sont des hôtes très agréables et disponibles, toujours prêt à vous faire profiter de leurs connaissance du Portugal. Un vrai plus pour nous. La région est magnifique : Monsanto, Sortelha, Sabugal, Idanha-a-Velha, sont une véritable plongée dans l'histoire. L'emplacement du gite permet de se rendre à Porto, Lisbonne et Salamanque (à ne surtout pas manquer) en moins de 3h. Si vous êtes à la recherche de sérénité et animés par l'envie de découvrir le Portugal "historique" tout en ayant la possibilité d'aller visiter Porto, Lisbonne ou Salamanque en une journée, ce gite est fait pour vous. Encore merci à Lola et Vincent pour leur gentillesse et la qualité de leur accueil.

Experiência maravilhosa. O nosso azar foi mesmo o mau tempo, durante 3 dias não conseguimos usufruir do espaço exterior. Mas mesmo assim valeu muito a pena. A casa tem tudo o que é necessário, a piscina é boa. Os proprietários são muito acessíveis e deixam as pessoas ter o máximo de privacidade. Gostamos muito. Obrigada por tudo

Ha sido una estancia maravillosa,hemos disfrutado cada segundo de todo el entorno,cada pajarito,cada árbol,hemos podido dejar atras todo el estres acumulado de todo el año. Summer Vacation 2022

We stayed for two weeks and really enjoyed our stay. Lola and Vincent were very helpful and available. The house and the surrounding space are great for rest and relaxation. The pool was great for hot days. The area where the house is located is close to river beaches, historic villages, walking routes, allowing you to take different walks. Our two year old son loved the house, the pool and Lola and Vincent's dog, who visited us every day. It helped to reduce the homesickness of our dogs.

Adoramos a estadia, é uma casinha bastante acolhedora num lugar incrivelmente calmo. Os proprietários são muito simpáticos e prestáveis o que tornou tudo perfeito. Quel excellent séjour!

Parfait. La maison disposait de tout le nécessaire, la piscine pour nous rafraîchir, le cadre pour nous reposer. Et que dire de l'excellent accueil de lola, Vincent sans oublier Leonie. Bref, un excellent séjour que nous recommandons à ceux qui recherchent un coin très sympa, tranquille et en communion avec la nature.

Little House ... Big Vacations!

Beautiful log cabin, very cozy, and with everything you need for a good family vacation. Very quiet and private place, with a wonderful sunset, and a starry sky like never before ... Mrs. Lola and Mr. Vincent are very friendly and attentive hosts, willing to help with what we needed, as well as giving some tips, from the surrounding historic villages to visit. A special affection for the beautiful and friendly little dog Maybe, who visited us daily. For us who love animals, it was special, and she is also special. Magnifique découverte au cœur de la nature, calme et relaxant.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans un cadre enchanteur. Nous avons profité du calme ressourçant, découvert de magnifiques villages, des paysages grandioses, des habitants accueillants et bienveillants envers les touristes.. le tout en plein cœur de la nature. Le chalet est agréable, bien équipé et surtout, il inspire la quiétude et le repos. Les hôtes bienveillants et présents comme il le faut : généreux en conseils pour la découverte des alentours. Les enfants ont adoré cueillir les fruits avec Lola ainsi que la présence de leur nouvel ami, le chien Maybe. Merci à Lola et Vincent pour ces belles découvertes, leur gentillesse et leur générosité.

Dépaysant

Un accueil au top, chaleureux, convivial. Des propriétaires attentionnés, très agréables, qui sauront vous conseiller et vous guider pour vous permettre de passer un séjour pendant lequel le temps semble s'arrêter. La piscine est parfaite, suffisamment grande pour pouvoir jouer en famille et nager. Les repas se font avec une vue incroyable sur les montagnes et de magnifiques couchées de soleil. En ce qui concerne les activités, il faut absolument visiter le village de MOSANTO, et tous ces petits villages atypiques que l'on trouve à quelques kilomètres. Pour manger bien et pas cher il faut se rendre à PENAMACOR au restaurant A CAVE. En résumé: séjour parfait qui a plu aux grands comme aux plus petites.

Au bonheur tranquille

Nous avons passé deux super semaines. Maison très agréable avec cerise sur le gâteau, La Piscine. Propriétaires très accueillants, disponible et toujours à notre écoute. Si vous cherchez une maison bien équipée, au calme dans la campagne et proche de toutes commodités, ne cherchez plus vous l'avez trouvée. Merci encore à Lola et Vincent.

Peace, quiet, tranquility

We had a wonderful week at the Little House. The house is tastefully decorated and it is very private. The view of the sunset from the patio is gorgeous, as are the stars at night. Lola, Vince and Leone were great, as was Maybe, their dog, who visited on a daily basis. We did a lot of exploring round the nearby villages and did a few early morning walks in Malcata (it was 35 degrees by 10am!) The countryside is beautiful and varied and the villages idyllic (if deserted). We saw lots of wildlife including eagles which flew so low we could hear their wings. There are several river beaches within an hour's drive and plenty of places to see just don't expect tourist shops and crowds. If you like peace and quiet and exploring the countryside, you will love it here. Thanks Lola for being the perfect host! Rachel and Steve

Central, quiet and cosy house

The house had everything we needed for holidays. And coffee machine as well (i need and love coffe). Everything is working fine. The pool its great! We enjoyed the region and went easily to some villages like Idanha-a-Nova, Idanha-a-Velha, Sortelha, Sabugal, Penamacor and others. We also went to Monfortinho Termal Baths for a massage. The food in the region is great and we finished knowing that we want to return more times.

Just the ticket

Five Stars. We stayed three nights and had a great time. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful area with great hosts. Can't say enough good things about it; the highlight of our trip. (Note- it is not actually in Penamacor. It is about 5 miles away in Aldus De Bispo.). Perfect for a couple or a solo driving or biking around Portugal.
