Perfect location

Location was ideal, room was as advertised. Only disappointment on room was the two patio chairs were cheap plastic, something a bit nicer would have been great.

Perfect little spot

Location cannot be beat. Perfect spot on beach in Playa Norte, steps from Hidalgo. The room was clean, had all the conveniences we needed and look for. The staff at Ixchel are top notch. This place was perfect for my husband and I— We can’t wait to stay here again.

No difference from booking with the hotel directly!

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. We had friends who were staying there too but the hotel was fully booked when we went to reserve a room. I found this VRBO in the same hotel as our friends and booked it. It was the same experience as booking directly with the hotel. Would have no hesitation booking through this listing again.

Another stay in paradise...

Went for a short 4 day stay with my daughter for her birthday. This is my 2nd time at Ixchel and it was just as nice as the 1st time. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The room was just right for us. Only thing that could be improved is the shower head needs to be changed. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Great Condo

Ixchel is simply perfect. The condos location was great! Literally steps off your patio is the pool and restaurant, making morning coffee so easy and convenient. Bed was super comfortable! We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location

If there is a better location on Isla we haven’t stayed there. The pool is just outside the lobby. Just outside the lobby is Playa Norte, voted one of the top 50 beaches in the world. When you are done at the beach Hidalgo Street is one block away. Hidalgo is full of shopping, bars, and restaurants. Many more shops, restaurants, and bars are within easy walking distance. You can rent a golf cart right next door to explore the rest of the island, and you should explore the island at least one day. I don’t think we will stay anywhere else on the island, this is the prefect location.

Great aplace to stay

The room was very clean and the location was great. It appears this room is part of a shared option, so if staying in this room as a standard room only, the photos of the patio area are not accurate. You will actually only have access to two plastic chairs on a small slab of concrete. This overlooks the pool and restaurant area and is nice. We would definitely book this room again, even with limited outdoor space. the covid testing through the front desk was inexpensive and very efficient as well.

Exactly as advertised

Ground floor studio condo, looked exactly as advertised. The grounds were well maintained and the hotel staff was helpful. Check in was smooth and you can beat the location right on Playa Norte. Communication was sometimes slow with the owner leading up to our trip that made me nervous, but everything turned out as promised and we had a great time!

Love Ixchel as always, issues with the booking....

Ixchel is fantastic. I don't think I could settle for anywhere else on Isla Mujeres. Being on Playa Norte is perfect. I had requested a ground floor room but it wasn't available for the full 7 days. I agreed to stay on the 2nd floor for the first 3 days then move to the ground floor for the next 4 days as I love having a balcony. They are tiny for the bedroom only condos but that's okay. When I checked in, there was no info on my move. I was booked in the 2nd floor room with no balcony for the full 7 days. I emailed Cain but received no response. Thankfully the great front desk staff found a different room for me on the main floor for the last 4 days so I was able to enjoy a balcony.
