Nous avons avons passé un week-end tout doux et très agréable à la Gentillère.Il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Les feux dans la magnifique cheminée sont vraiment agréables et le calme autour invite au repos!Nous reviendrons au printemps pour voir la maison coiffée de sa glycine!

7 jours de bonheur ! Site magnifique ! Séjour Parfait !

Nous avons pu apprécier pendant 7 jours la vie en pleine nature. L’on accède au gîte par une toute petite route goudronnée ne desservant que 3 ou 4 propriétés. Le gîte « La Gentillière » est situé en bout de celle-ci, en plein milieu des champs (voie sans issue). Nous avons ressenti un véritable sentiment de bien-être et de sérénité dans cette environnement particulièrement calme et tranquille où seul le chant des nombreux oiseaux en perturbe le silence. Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil de la part de nos hôtes, très agréables et sympathiques mais sachant rester discrets. La petite maison est charmante avec sa cheminée, ancienne mais très bien équipée et propre. Nous avons pu disposer d’un beau grand jardin. De plus, l’avant de la maison offre un joli panorama sur la campagne et les champs à perte de vue. La nuit, l’obscurité totale nous a permis de redécouvrir un véritable ciel étoilé. Magnifique ! La campagne environnante est superbe. Nous avons pu faire une promenade de 8 km tout autour du gîte (chemins balisés). Sur les conseils de nos hôtes nous avons visité Bellême ainsi que le village de La Perrière où nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’excellent restaurant - brocante - galerie « La Maison d’Horbé » (accueil et service formidables + qualité du menu). Si vous aimez le calme de la campagne et la véritable nature nous ne pouvons que vous recommander ce gîte « La Gentillière ». Encore merci à nos hôtes pour leur bon accueil et aussi pour les bons oeufs et courgettes.

A wonderful holiday home, would thoroughly recommend

We stayed for 4 nights this August. A wonderful holiday exploring the local area and enjoying the beautiful surroundings at the gite. The gite is just as described, really thoughtfully furnished and equipped. Francis and Isobelle were great hosts with good communication. Our children loved playing in the garden and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We hope to return soon.

Lovely quiet cottage in very peaceful countyside

Visited in Aug 2018. This is a very secluded cottage the local village of Brunelles doesn't really have any facilties but 5 mins in the car and you have access to some very large supermarkets etc. The cottage is coveted in flowers and plants so expect lots of creepy crawlies! The stairs are very steep to 1st floor so if you have mobility issues this is prob not the place for you. Other than this it's a thoroughly charming remote cottage that's reasonably well appointed.

Nous avons apprécié cette location en famille (2 adultes / 2 enfants en bas âge). Il y a beaucoup d'activités, de ballades et de découvertes à moins de 20 km de la maison, il y a une invitation permanente à se reposer ou à jouer dans un jardin bucolique et parfait pour la détente en famille. On ne peut qu'y ajouter l'accueil, la discrétion et la gentillesse de nos hôtes.

Picture Postcard property

We stayed at this beautiful cottage with our 19 year old daughters. We had telephoned ahead so Isabelle and Francis were waiting for us to arrive. This cottage is just as it looks on the picture. It is situated on a lovely quiet lane with virtually no passing traffic and you look over the fields from the front door. There is a huge back garden with swings and slides for younger children. There are also trees which offer plenty of shade, which we were grateful of as it was extremely hot whilst we were there. The house has everything you need for a great holiday, the beds were very comfortable, Francis left us some of his homegrown tomatoes, which were the best I have ever had. The house was clean and welcoming.with plenty of space for 4 adults. We enjoyed going out for a walk just before dusk and were delighted to see woodpeckers,wild boar, coypu and a deer with two young. It was great just sitting out enjoying the peace and quiet of the garden both during the day and on an evening, when you could see an abundance of stars. You are only 6km from Nogent Le Rotou with plenty of supermarkets. For days out we visited Le Mans and the motor museum, Chateau deFontainebleau, Orleans,Chartres and just generally explored the local area. I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Isabelle and Francis for a wonderful holiday.

Gîte très agréable, les alentours sont propices aux balades en VTT ou à pied.

Gîte très agréable, situé au coeur de la campagne. Idéal pour les balades en VTT ou à pied. A proximité de Nogent-Le-Rotrou (6 kms) où se trouvent commerces, restaurants (restaurant gastronomique "L' Alambic" à ne pas rater d'ailleurs) et cinéma. Le Gîte est spacieux, le jardin très agréable. Le canapé lit dans le salon n'est pas très confortable. Nous sommes amateurs de VTT et avons testés les circuits balisés. Attention, les sentiers VTT ne sont pas toujours correctement balisés, il est absolument nécessaire d'avoir une carte IGN sur soi.
