Don't miss the Sunday brunch!! Although the views aren't as spectacular as at the nearby hotel that's known for its brunch, Nanea's Sunday brunch is far superior. On the day we were there, the buffet included a prime rib carving station, crab legs & claws, ahi and hamachi sashimi, poke, fried ginger chicken, charcuterie boards, pastries, waffles, eggs made to made to order, and more. There were multiple desserts, including chocolate fondue with several fruits and berries for dipping, and bargain priced mimosas. Well worth planning your day around!
The accommodations were very comfortable. The two bedrooms with common area (kitchen, dining and lounge) in between is a perfect set up when traveling with kids who like to have their own space. Having two washers and dryers made laundry a breeze. There are two balconies - one shared by the common area and main bedroom, and a second one off of the studio unit. This was perfect for our older kids and us, but something you'll want to be mindful of if you're traveling with younger children.
The resort facilities were solid -- typical Westin quality. The gym is packed with equipment, including 4-5 treadmills and even a Peloton bike on a balcony above the pool with ocean views. The resort's multiple pools were never crowded, even though the resort was at full capacity. That said, consider sitting in chairs close to the pool bar if you want poolside service. When we sat there, we had stellar service. On the one day we sat near the waterfall by Nanea, we never got the food or drinks we ordered (the pool was leanly staffed that day for some reason).
