Beautiful getaway

We loved waking up and sitting on the dock looking over the water. The house was beautiful and had every amenity you could ask for! We exercised in the morning out on the patio, took a canoe out, watched the Alabama football game - great time (a little farther from campus than I thought but it was worth it!)

The host should update the listing pictures. The listing makes the place look decent; the reality is it’s luxury accommodations. Top notch inside and out. Also, the map had me a little worried that the house was too close to the main road and the neighbors - neither were an issue in person. We’d be happy to stay here any time we visit Tuscaloosa.

Awesome house and experience

This is a great house!! We have stayed here for several years with a large family. It is so spacious and has everything we need. Barry is very easy to work with and quick to assist in any areas we needed. He was able to get the air conditioner man to come by and fix one of the units the next day. We love this house and can’t wait to come back next year!

Great property!

This is a really lovely home, great amenities, beautiful decor, very clean and well maintained, and very spacious. My husband and I went with our 5 college-aged kids plus a couple significant others - so much living space and bedrooms with private bathrooms made it such a great vacation. This home is nearly new and truly gorgeous! There was some confusion about the dock which I had understood to be private - there was a large party staying in the home adjacent to the property that used it during the time our stays overlapped and they felt the dock was for their use. Turned out not to be a big deal as we only overlapped for a short period but you may want to clarify that point if you are bringing a boat and plan on using the dock space.

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama. After a few years in Birmingham, I returned to Tuscaloosa to practice accounting, raise a family with my wife Mary and enjoy all of what Tuscaloosa has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Most of my life I have visited and enjoyed Lake Tuscaloosa. In 2007 I purchase property on Lake Tuscaloosa and began a renting as a vacation home by listing on VRBO. This experience led me to building this luxury home designed to be the perfect gathering place on Lake Tuscaloosa.
