This place was exactly what we were looking for as we planned an after Christmas Getaway with our small family. There was plenty of space, the house and scenery are beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The property was exactly as described on the website and was very clean! Host was very attentive in checking in prior to arrival with instructions. Our stay was for a weekend but we will be back again for a longer stay.
This house was beautiful and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Chad was a really good host with excellent communication. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.
This was a spacious house with a lake view. The back deck was amazing and the porch swing was one of my favorite spots. Lots of room inside. It was a great getaway.
This was the perfect rental for a large multi-generation group! Everyone had enough space but inside and out. Communication with the owners was super easy and they took care of everything we needed during our stay. Would highly recommend!

Thank you for the kind words - next time you’re in town, let us know and we’ll hangout on the lake!
This home was beautiful. Very comfortable for all of us. It was nice to BBQ together and sit out on the deck and relax! The room above the garage provided an escape for us old folks while the kids enjoyed board games.. on the list for next time!
My sister and I, both in our 80s, returned to the lake where we spent or summers growing up. This place was just down the road from the house our parents built. The weather was fantastic for September as we visited the many places of our youth and met with friends still in the area. The house was a great location for our travels and it had a wonderful deck overlooking the water and golden sunsets. Memories revisited!
Quiet home with lots of space. It was just my partner and I but plenty of bedrooms and shared spaces for a larger group. The dock was pretty overgrown and needs repair and I recommend a cleaning service that doesn’t lock up the fireplace remotes and forget to clean the primary bedrooms toilet. That being said we had an enjoyable time and the kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable and the home otherwise clean.

Thanks Christina! Since it was early October and the previous week had 80° weather we hadn’t activated the fireplaces yet for the season.
We intentionally leave the dock set in its natural habitat to increase the the authenticity of the lake and bay. I personally love walking the dock because I feel like I’m going down a corridor.
Thank you for staying!
disappointed how close house was to main road noise.
road noise and not being able to control house temperatures as we please.

Hey Tom, thanks for the feedback. Usually the road noise isn't an issue but with it being one of the busiest weekends of the year, our town was jam packed with people looking to enjoy the lakes area.
As for the temperatures, I'm not too sure what you mean by this. The thermostat is located in the living room and is a new Ecobee that is pretty user-friendly. Had you reached out with questions I would've been happy to walk you though it.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise!
The property was large enough for ourselves and five adult children with their spouses. It was a bit smaller than we had envisioned based on the online photos. The outdoor deck was amazing and large enough for us to spend most of our time outdoors, even though it was in the 90s! The yard was a bit overgrown and not enough seating around the fire pit (only 2 chairs). Enough beds for all and a washer and dryer in the house made for easy clothes cleaning. If you're sensitive to light in the morning, be aware there are no window shades or curtains in most of the living spaces. Only the master bedroom has window coverings. Nice new appliances however, if you're planning on preparing meals, I would bring some additional pots & pans, napkins, paper towels, corkscrew, and serving utensils. Also, be sure to bring enough toilet paper to last for the number of guests you'll be hosting. From an entertainment perspective, great large screen TVs on the main floor and upper family room. Michelle was easy to work with in setting up this rental.

Hi Chelle, thank you for taking the time to write a review; we do appreciate the kind words.
I've never had anyone mention that there is a shortage of pots and pans since it's a gourmet kitchen that's fully stocked, however it is possible that previous guests took some things. With a group as large as yours I do think it would be wise of us to add additional plates and utensils to make sure there are enough.
As for things like toilet paper, we do keep the house stocked. Each bathroom has a couple of extra rolls under the sink at all times. I would've been happy to point that out if you messaged and asked - I'd hate to have someone run out!
Hope you enjoyed your family reunion as much as it sounded like you did when we last spoke!
Super cute comfortable cabin. Beautifully decorated. Location is off a bit of a busy road, but besides vehicle noise, it was a quiet peaceful area. 5 minute drive from Reeds Grocery, gas, etc. Loved the upstairs bonus room! Kitchen was well stocked. Right on Snowmobile trails.
Only cons were: not a lot of lighting throughout the whole cabin. No gutters on this home, so the ice build-up on the driveway, sidewalk, & deck was dangerous...There was ample supply of ice melt that we did put out, however.
There wasn't much for cleaning supplies at all; being winter in MN, & the ice melt/snow, etc, we had nothing to mop around doorways with, we had to just use paper towels, which used up the paper towels fast. Lastly, there was an issue with lady bugs, mainly on the top floor in the bonus room...Dead all over the carpet, & live one's all over the windows. Again, going on spring in MN, its going to happen that they get in; but cleaning people should have atleast vacuumed up the dead ones.
Overall, great cabin, & would recommend for a wintery vacation. 😊

Hi Jenn, thanks for taking the time to review! Lady bugs are an issue in northern MN, especially a home in the woods like this….in spring. Our cleaners do vacuum them every time but it really is the kind of thing that needs to be done every day or two. Also, if you would’ve messaged me about cleaning supplies I would’ve pointed out the closet where everything is stored. Come back and visit this summer! :)
Everything was better than advertised. Beautiful location. Lots if space.
Would have definitely stayed another day if our schedules would have worked. The owners replied very promptly with the myriad of questions I sent their way. Want to go again!
This is a beautiful house and property. It slept our party well with a great kitchen and deck. The yard and firepit area were a great hangout also. Although the lake access was tough with the low water in the channel but not impossible. All in all, we had a great time.
We could not have been more pleased with our experience. The owners were extremely communicative, and the property included everything we could have possibly asked for. Highly recommend!
