We welcome you to come experience the ultimate mountain escape at our cabin retreat. Aptly named "Ode to Joy” you , your friends and family will all enjoy the privacy, location and amenities our space has to offer. Featuring two large bedrooms , a small compact Kitchen , two full baths , a hall reading area, screened in porch , new soda June 2021 , wood burning fireplace ( Oct 15- March 15 ), two decks, brick patio , PRIVATE hot tub OPEN YEAR ROUND and a one of a kind light fixture from a famed artist imported from Denmark this adorable A Frame will check all of your boxes for the ultimate higher end relaxing getaway. Tucked in at the end of a private road in Coolfont Mountainside ww are a 3 mile car ride to downtown Berkeley Springs which has dining , shopping and world famous hot springs , 10 minutes to Cacapon State Park, 8 miles from Hancock and the C and O canal for walking running and biking . Coolfont mountain itself offers its own resort dining ( check web page for menus and hours )hiking , tennis, seasonal lake with fishing, kayaking and paddle board rentals , community hot tub and pool from Memorial Day to Labor Day and it's a short stroll to a our local Craft Brewery Berkeley Springs Brewing Company for a pint or a bite to eat and The wonderful Treetop restaurant overlooking the lake . Only a few miles from Cacapon state park with epic hiking , mountain biking , golf and lake .WE ASK THAT YOU MESSAGE FIRST BEFORE INSTANT BOOKING WITH PETS- $50 - pet fee.Dogs only please one max . Also please note no outdoor fires are allowed do to the dense tree coverage . In winter months it does snow in the WV mountains . Cozy and relaxing

True to its listing, this sweet and cozy cabin is a delight. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and a nice hot tub to enjoy. It was just what we were looking for in a mountain getaway!

Property was perfect. Read the listing--the Internet is pretty terrible, but the host makes up for it with a big stack of DVDs. We really enjoyed checking out of reality for a few days. Recommend stopping at your local library and grabbing a few extra DVDs on your way. The neighborhood is quiet and filled with trails. The hot tub was a great place to unwind.

Ode to Joy was an absolute joy to stay in. I was excited to see some seasonal decorations upon arrival, as this trip was a traditional holiday get together with some friends. The cabin is luxurious inside, with beautiful art, plenty of wood for the fireplace, and very cozy vibes. It was very well stocked with amenities throughout the house, and the kitchen even had appliances I don’t usually expect to see in most rentals (a crockpot, a blender, an electric kettle). We did a lot of cooking and never wanted for anything. The little patio room was so charming to sit in any time of the day. The hot tub was hot, clean, comfortable, and we had no issues. I frequent Berkeley Springs many times through the year, and I’d be very happy to come back to this location.

A very charming cabin

The cabin is nestled nicely in the woods with nature sounds all around. The screened in porch is excellent for a morning coffee, which the provide coffee maker was excellent at making. The deck was great and the hot tub was very relaxing. The location is great with a nice brewery just down the street. The entire stay was fantastic and cozy. A great place to disconnect for a bit!

Quiet, cozy mountain getaway

The house setup is perfect for 2 friends (my trip) or we even talked about bringing our families along next time! The kitchen has all you need for a vacation stay, two full bathrooms allow for privacy and space, the hot tub is divine, and the drive to/from town is easy. We loved how secluded, yet safe, it was for our girls getaway.

Last Minute Getaway

We booked this a day or two before coming down from Pittsburgh with our dog. The place is very clean, organized and cozy. We enjoyed both the fireplace and hot tub as well as great hikes in the snow at nearby Cacapon State park. We will have this on our list as a place to re-visit.

My parents have had a property in Coolfont since 2001. We always thought this A Frame was the cutest place so we contacted the owner who agreed to sell it to us . After many many renovations we think our spot is just the perfect mountain retreat !
