Marilyn and her husband were excellent hosts. The house was perfect- clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The quiet setting was conveniently located near many area attractions. We would definitely recommend a stay at the little green house!
Our stay was wonderful. The owners were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. You will definitely need 4-wheel drive to get up the hill leading to the property. But we were aware up front and had no issues. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. I was also impressed with the decor. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.
Very peaceful place to spend some time away from it all. Close enough to Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Hendersonville to spend the day in town with only a short drive. Property manager is wonderful and accessible. The driveway requires 4WD/AWD but is worth it for the peace and quiet.
Great quality accommodations! It is located up a steep hill but worth the climb. Lots of hiking in the area including Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Asheville is 18 miles away but it takes 35+ minutes given hairpin route! Comfy bed and living area with a nice deck for sitting and eating outside. Advertised as pet friendly but then asked to crate dog when left alone. We had to buy a crate to accommodate. It worked out ok but this really should have been included in the listing requirement. Had the crate requirement been in the details (or provided), we would have given it 5 stars.

Nice Place for a Short Visit
The house and Marilyn were both very nice. The location was close to some great sites, and still out of the way of the crowds. Downside. Drive in, up the driveway, at one point the road was not very road like, and really bad spots of erosion. Advertisement says all wheel drive required. My small SUV has all wheel drive, but I REALLY needed actual 4 wheel drive and/or something higher off the ground. I bottomed out several times on the way in and out and we did not feel comfortable coming in after dark. Marilyn was very accommodating, place does not have WIFI, but she provided a hotspot box for our use because of the poor signal. Kitchen could really use some more basics if you plan on cooking in house. And, I was not aware when I booked that the house is more of a guesthouse. Main house where she resides is about 20 yards up the hill. Not isolated or private. Overall it was a nice place to stay, but this should be known to future renters.
My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday and overall it was a wonderful stay. Very clean property and had just about everything you would need. However, we did not know the property owners personal house was a couple yards away and a dog that will bark at you but it is harmless. Usually the check in process is done contactless but here you actually meet the owner, which was no problem just never seen that done before. The property was close to all our stops, such as Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and The Biltmore which was very nice. Would recommend staying here but make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle.
Was a wonderful place to stay very quiet definitely off the beat and path and would recommend it for a short stay I shortened my stay by a couple of days due to weather!
Super location for visiting the entire Henderson County area as well as Brevard and Lake Lure
Very nice and comfortable unit and wonderful setting in the woods. If you like walking, it is very nice to stroll down the hill, across 64 and then down Edney Inn Rd to the end
A weekend getaway was much needed for me and my fiancé and this was exactly what we had pictured. The rental was near perfection. From the moment we got there to the moment we left there was nothing to complain about. Great rental spot.
Very close to chimney rock and a number of nice hikes around the area. Basic, clean, and great for a small family or a couple who wants to explore the area. Quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.
The location was excellent, the owner was very professional and friendly. Bottom line, all you need take is food and drinks. The place was very clean. Would I stay again, on a heart beat....
This property was perfect for our little family’s trip to visit family for a few days. Very clean, quite, and just a jaunt away from Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure.
We had such a a great time ! We can’t wait to come back! Place was clean and very cozy. Great location. The only thing I wished it had was a microwave, but we got by without it just fine.
I have never seen such a clean rental, everything was spotless upon our arrival. Very cozy, well designed and well built space. I wouldn't recommend it for more than two people, but it was perfect for my husband and I. Close to Hendersonville, as well as Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, great hiking, river sports and just peace and quiet. The owners are on site but gave us our space, and were there when we needed anything. Overall a very pleasant stay. We loved being greeted by Roscoe when we returned home in the afternoon!

About the host
Hosted by owner/property manager Marilyn
We are celebrating a 3 year anniversary with VRBO . It's been a great experience working with them and having the opportunity to meet so many great people who are just out to relax. This has prompted us to add this free standing home to our existing 10 acre property.
Why they chose this property
This is such a unique wooded area with wide mountain vistas. We feel it is enhanced by preserving a quiet forest atmosphere for people to stay and unwind. This has been our goal and I feel we have done just that.
What makes this property unique
Longer stays are now possible with a complete kitchen. Romantic for a couple or a great hangout for small families. Being just 2 and a half miles to downtown Chimney Rock allows you to get out to restaurants and hike, enjoy the river and see some of the most beautiful landscape in the country.
