Extremely cute cottage in picturesque Normandy

Lovely host who helped us out when our car conked out. Charming cottage with oodles of character, comfy beds with fluffy bedding. Nice restaurant down the road within walking distance, lovely river walks. Plenty to do and see in the area.

The cottage was very picturesque but sadly a bit uncared for. The garden is very overgrown and shady as a consequence. The cottage is very dark inside and it is necessary to have the lights on all day. The worst thing for me was the proximity to a main road which meant traffic noise all day and night. We only stayed three nights but was really bothered by the noise every night of the stay. There is only one toilet on the ground floor which doesn't have a wash basin so to wash your hands after using the toilet you have to go to the kitchen at the other end of the house. Really one toilet and one shower for a house for 6 people is insufficient. Eliane and Roger are very nice hosts and we're very understanding when I broke the washing machine. The house is in a lovely area and there is some lovely walking but not near any shops or facilities so everything is a drive away.

Beautiful house and garden within 20 minutes to the beach

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time. Eliane, the owner, was very helpful and gave us many tips. It’s a 15th century beautiful house with a lot of space for the five of us. Good starting point to the beach, Étretat, golf course. Bakery is 4km away so easy to do. Beds were also very good (and that’s not always the case). I can recommend this house to everybody!

L’interno è ampio, adatto a sei persone.
