From 2 to 14 people, completely new rental in an old farm. Quiet, close to shops. 250 meters from the departure of free shuttles (every 30 minutes) which drop you off in 5 minutes at the foot of the slopes of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. Rental comprising 7 bedrooms, each with its own shower room and wc; Beds are made upon arrival, towels and household linen are provided. A fire place with wood stove ensures warm evenings. With its 250 m2, quality equipment, a wooden atmosphere you will spend a pleasant holiday. You can spend a relaxing time at the indoor pool heated to 28 °, swimming pool available at the 4 accommodations.

This is a spacious wooden chalet a hour or so from Geneva airport by car, within a ten minute walk of St Jean de Sixte, where the ski bus stops are. And a ski hire shop, bakery, supermarket, restaurants are also there.Ground floor has a heated boot room and a swimming pool. An external staircase takes you to the main family room, kitchen, toilet and three bedrooms.An internal staircase takes you from the main room up to four bedrooms.All seven bedrooms are slightly different, though each has its own toilet, sink and shower.One criticism is that the bedroom lighting is very dim (we used a torch to locate our clothes). Location is good BUT - our visit coincided with New Year - do not expect to reach the ski slopes in a few minutes. Early in the morning the traffic between St Jean de Sixte and La Clusaz was very heavy. Allow 10 minutes to walk to the bus stop, 10 minutes to wait for the bus (it runs every 30 minutes), then the bus journey at peak time takes 30 minutes, then the bus drops you ten minutes walk from the slopes. Then you must queue for a ski pass (another 30 minutes). In my opinion the best plan is to forget La Clusaz and head instead to Grand Bornand. The bus trip is very quick, you are dropped off next to the ski slopes, the queueing was small. I do not understand why. It also has WONDERFUL green runs. I loved it there.

Summer Holiday in the Alps

Fantastic chalet in a wonderful part of the world. Communication with the hosts Eric and Anne-Marie was prompt and accommodating and their flexibility throughout the 2 years of Covid was amazing. We booked our trip for 2020. We were allowed to change it to 2021 then allowed the change it again to 2022. Now problem at all. Our welcome when we arrived was more than friendly. A full tour of the property by Eric when everything we needed to know was explained. The property was brilliant. Very traditional with everything you would ever need. It was a also amazingly well equipped and immaculately clean. The terrace area at the back of the property was a sun trap in the afternoon an led straight into the main area of the property. The pool is fantastic. Very popular with the 10 year old in our group. The pool is shared with the other properties (3 in total I think) in the larger building. Less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of St. Jean de Sixt where there is several bars/restraunts, a supermarket, a couple of boulangeries, an amazing boucherie, a fantastic Pizza place, post office, tourist information centre etc. For larger supermarkets the are a few a short drive away in neighbouring towns. We were a mixed group of 3 couples and a 10 year old, a 14 year old and an 18 year old. So much to do in the area for everyone. Lots around Annecy for everyone, so much going on in La Clusaz and lots to do and lots see in Le Grand Bornand. Four of the group are (road) cyclist and it was a great base for some amazing cycling. The start of the Col d'Aravis is 400 metres from the chalet and the start of Col de la Colombiere only 3km away. Many other climbs in the area doable from the chalet. And also so many of the iconic climbs reachable if you're happy to do a short drive. A small thing my wife wanted me to mention was the lack of drawers in our bedroom. Not a problem for me but I've done my job to mention it. Thanks for a fab holiday 🙂

Fantastisch ruim huis :)!

We hebben ons heel goed vermaakt in het prachtig ruim huis. Goede locatie, zeer vriendelijke host, heerlijk zwembad om in te zwemmen na een dagje skiën! Mooie openhaard en super fijn dat we gewoon het hout voor de haard mochten pakken. Echt één aanrader!

Séjour et hôtes très agréable

Dès l'arrivée Eric vient nous chercher pour nous guider jusqu'au magnifique chalet. Ensuite nous avons eu le droit à une visite et des explications sur le fonctionnement du chalet, notamment cet ingénieux "silo" à copeaux de bois qui alimente tout le chalet ! Pour la suite du séjour Eric et Anne-Marie ont été très disponible et de très bon conseil, encore merci pour les randonnées. Nous sommes revenus avec de très beaux fromages, qu'Eric nous a soigneusement préparé dans des sachets sous-vide pour chaque personne du groupe ! Le seul bémol du séjour est que nous n'avons pas pu visiter les caves de la fromagerie à cause de la COVID-19, mais cela nous donne un bon prétexte pour revenir.

Agréable séjour dans un chalet spacieux

Très bon accueil. Grand Chalet en résidence très bien agencé et équipé. Proche des commerces et accès aux pistes en navette. Petite piscine sympa pour les enfants. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille nombreuse.

Beautiful, well equipped chalet

La Grange is a beautiful chalet, very well equipped for a large family group. 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms is a real treat. Everything was spotless on arrival, and we had a warm welcome from Eric and Anne Marie, who gave us lots of useful local information.. The (shared) swimming pool was used everyday by our grandchildren and their parents! Highly recommended.

Fantastic Holiday

On arrival we were very impressed with the chalet, it was clean and plenty of space for all. The kitchen had all you needed and more for to feed a very large family, We couldn't have asked for more, as for the pool our granddaughters loved it so much they were in it sometime until 10.30 at night. The places to visit are fantastic and very beautiful. We went to Annecy, Morzine, Mont Blanc we were hoping to go up but the visibility was nil. The scenery was beautifu. We would recommend this to anyone.

Nous avons passé 1 semaine de vacances familiales dans la location La Grange du chalet Cœur des Aravis. Nous avons apprécié la totalité des équipements: grand salon chaleureux permettant les moments de partage, cuisine de grande taille tès bien équipée, la terrasse permettant les repas familiaux, la piscine couverte prête à accueillir petits et grands au retour des balades et les 7 belles chambres équipées de leur toilette et salle d’eau individuels. La vue du chalet sur la chaîne des Aravis est tout simplement fabuleuse et l’accueil des propriétaires excessivement chaleureux. Je recommande fortement pour 14 personnes qui y vivront très à l’aise.

Une super semaine, du soleil, un chalet magnifique !

Très très belle location. Une magnifique pièce à vivre qui est bien agréable quand on est autant. Nous étions 4 familles avec ados, 14 personnes. Une belle cuisine très bien aménagée avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Une salle de bain par chambre, un luxe bien agréable. Evidemment une très belle région, avec des balades à faire quand on est en morte saison. Les propriétaires, charmants. Eric nous a proposé la visite de l'affinerie à Manigod, un grand moment. On a tous adoré. Bref, après avoir discuté avec les autres membres de notre tribu, difficile de trouver des points négatifs dans cette location (pourquoi faudrait-il en trouver ?). Tout le monde a été sous le charme. Nous avons l'habitude de louer une semaine en octobre tous ensemble et c'est la première fois où il y a eu une grande envie de "quand est-ce qu'on revient". Un grand merci pour cette location.

Magnifique chalet.

Superbe chalet, beau grand séjour avec cuisine bien équipée. 7 chambres avec literie très confortable, bémol pour les espaces de rangement. Salle de douche parfois une peu exiguë..mais un chalet très confortable pour se réunir entre amis ou entre famille.Très bien insonorisé. Poêle à bois très appréciable.Que du positif.

Superbe chalet à St Jean de Sixt

Monsieur et madame Favre nous ont chaleureusement accueillis dans leur superbe chalet à la fois confortable et moderne. Mention spéciale à la pièce principale parfaitement adaptée à un grand groupe voulant partager des moment conviviaux autour du feu. Petit plus pour la cuisine ouverte sur le salon/salle à manger (et sa grande table pouvant accueillir 15 personnes!) et les chambres spacieuses et élégantes (avec à chaque fois une SDB). Très pratique, la navette à 200 m du chalet toutes les 30 minutes, amenant au pied des pistes en moins de 10 minutes. Nous recommandons ce chalet sans réserve !

Superbes vacances d'été dans ce chalet. Spacieux, confortable et très fonctionnel. Tout était bien : cuisine, terrasse, literie, 1 salle de bain par chambre, piscine,..nous ne sommes pas du tout à l'étroit à 14 personnes! La localisation est parfaite puisque près de la Clusaz et du grand bornand à 3 km. Nombreuses balades et activités à faire. Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires. Location à recommander.

Superbe chalet .Très confortable et très bien équipé.

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans ce magnifique chalet .Il est très confortable pour 14 personnes .Chaque chambre benefice de sa propre salle de bain et le salon et la cuisine ouverte joliment décorés sont des pièces très agréables à vivre. Les navettes menant à laclusaz sont à 5 minutes à pied du chalet et il y a possibilités de laisser les skis chez les loueurs au pied des pistes . Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié l accueil très sympathique des propriétaires . Nous recommandons vivement cette location .
