This home has a bright and open layout brimming with comfortable furnishings throughout. The full kitchen is equipped with modern, stainless steel appliances, and in the living area, you can enjoy the flatscreen TV, warming gas fireplace, and sound system.

Head over to the Nye Beach Turnaround to access the beach which is less than a half-mile from this house. There are numerous dining options in the Nye Beach area, most within walking distance. Additional restaurants can be found on Highway 101 just a short drive to the east where you will also find major shopping and necessities. Or drive down to the Embarcadero, about a mile-and-a-half southeast, where you will find even more restaurants, stores, and local attractions to explore. Or cross the historic Yaquina Bay Bridge to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Great place

This place was amazing even with a 1 year old but bring a gate for stairs if you have a young one. Only complaint was the roku was missing, and VRBO has your check in listed at 4pm which was correct but check out as 11 and we were greeted at 10 by a house keeper.... luckily she was nice understanding and didn't rush us. So that's on vrbo and they need to fix that. Every thing was amazing, created great memories for our sons 1st birthday and hope to stay there again 😀

Close to Nye Beach

Spacious, good location to Nye beach stores/restaurant. Have a meal at Georgios. Bring your own hairdryer, streaming tv service and sauté pan.

It was very clean, the upstairs was bright and spacious. I would have a few recommendations for the homeowners: trim back the bishes at the front door so you can walk, have more board games, there was only 1 extra throw blanket in the entire house, there was no remits for cable tv (it only worked if you pay for Netflix or Amazon) which was very frustrating as other have complained of this too.

Nice

The home is nice, there are games and kites to use if you choose. It’s a pet friendly home so the carpets are stained with pet smells lol so as a pet owner it was homey lol, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed very well because all our clothes collected long white dog hair lol. And no instructions for the fireplace or it just wasn’t working. No ocean view and it’s a really long steep walk down to the beach.

Great Location, House Needs Attention

The location of the property is very convenient to Nye Beach, which is a favorite place of ours on the Oregon Coast. The house is nice overall, roomy, and the beds are comfortable. We offer a few suggestions to make it more comfortable for people. It would be nice to have a welcome binder with specific instructions and details about the house. The parking instructions should clarify that you can park on the street as well as in back (3 cars would never fit in back), and the line for the neighbor's property should be marked so people don't unwittingly encroach. The listing is not clear about the TV and lack of cable. The fireplace doesn't work, which should be fixed. With 3 bedrooms and plenty of space, the living room and dining area should have seating for more than 3-4 people and a couple of end tables. Nightstands with lamps on both sides of the beds would be nice. We were only given 2 dishwasher soap pods and 2 dishtowels for a 4-day stay, and we ended up washing by hand a lot. Many of the pots and silverware needed washing before use. The BBQ was extremely dirty and should be cleaned after each stay, plus the grill brush needs replacing. Lastly, there was a strong odor downstairs that smelled like sewer, which should be checked. While each of these items is small by itself, all together they amounted to a bit of a damper on our stay unfortunately.

Family Trip

Directions to get to the High St condo and key access were great. Nye Beach restaurants were a short walk away and partial ocean views were nice! Just a few things to work out: Although the VRBO listing said that TV was available we were unable to get it to work. I called a number for help and someone came by but still couldn't help us. There was a Roku remote, but no Roku stick in the TV. There was no dishwasher or laundry soap. The broken kitchen chair that was mentioned in the previous review was still there. One of my kids sat in it and almost fell backwards, so I put it in the corner. We enjoyed our relaxing stay by the beach.

Overall, this was a good selection. However, there were several issues. A larger garbage can outside is needed. It would be helpful to know when the garbage is picked up. Enough of the dishes and silverware were dirty that we washed everything before using. The dishwasher was noisy, so we mostly hand washed the dishes. There were no kitchen towels, so we used a lot of paper towels. Fortunately, I brought some. One of the kitchen chairs was damaged and should be discarded. Either the stove isn't level or the burners are. The carpet is badly stained, and the house smelled badly when we arrived. We immediately opened the windows to air the house out. There was a sign requesting that shoes be removed, so we wore socks which got pretty dirty. We were uncomfortable going barefoot because of the stained carpeting. There was a discrepancy about parking (i.e., parking in front and back versus parking only in the back). A list of what's available in the kitchen would be helpful. We enjoyed the location and the easy access to everything.

Very very disappointed!!

Carpets in every room were stained with pet urine. The house smelled so bad I had to go get room freshener for every room. No place for the dogs to go potty had to walk them down to street to the motel grassy area. Not dog friendly. No beach access, that was about 2 miles away. Couldn’t get TV or fireplace to work.

We liked that we could put our small boat i. The garage. Very simple house. Not much in the kitchen but we made it work. The tv was kinda weird but we dont watch much anyhow.

Dog friendly 3BR home

Quiet 2 story home, close to beach and lighthouse viewpoints. Nye beach shops within walking distance, and close to Nye beach and Agate beach access. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had what we needed, bathrooms were clean, washer dryer was nice to have. Stairs were not very deep, need to be careful. Carpets are light in color and had some stains, but was clean. There is sparse furniture but was fine for our week stay. Parking out front or back was ample.

Cute house, quiet neighborhood with beautiful sunset!

The view from the little community area one block away was amazing! There is a very small view of the ocean from the house. Very close and walkable to Nye Beach ( no beach access for house fyi). We enjoyed the gas cooking stove and the house was just the right size for our family. Easy to walk the dog to little community area with ocean view. There could be more kitchen items or a list available so we know what to bring. Great house for bring your dog ;)

Great stay close to the beach

We truly loved our stay at this property. Nicely stocked. House was clean, but ottoman, and sun bleached curtains could be replaced to freshen the place up.

Good and Bad

Good: location, allowed dogs, kitchen accommodations, Barbecue grill. Bad: carpet stains, cluttered garage, not enough soap for the dishwasher, my wife did not feel like it was clean. Need to trim the hedges in front of the home, Maintenance guy could not get the gas fireplace to work. It would have been cheaper to rent through Vacasa

Great access to Nye Beach everything!

Great location! Easy walk to dining, shops and beach access. Quiet neighborhood, and plenty of space to spread out. There were only 2 of us this time, but will be perfect when we come back with more family. Cozy living area and comfy bed made for a great getaway.

Beautiful Place

Had a great time, although we could not figure out how to use the gas fireplace. Perhaps VRBO can add a binder of how to use. But the place was beautiful and a block from the cliff down to the beach. Would stay again, Katie
