Super beautiful place to stay perfect for small groups the view is beautiful going up the mountains were a lit hard but that was expected super clean and they left us laundry detergent for towels
Well stocked cabin-kitchen had everything we needed and then some, plenty of towels and laundry supplies. Grill was ready to go. Hot tub was clean and warm, some jets didn’t seem to work. Loved being able to bring our dogs- blankets to protect the couch were provided as were a couple of dog bowls, great touches. Loved the air hockey and arcade games. The cabin could use a little TLC, it’s apparent that it’s a bit older and some touch up jobs were rushed but didn’t impact our stay (no weather stripping around door so could see light through edges when it was closed, little things like that.)The only thing I would recommend is a warning about the drive up the mountain. I wouldn’t recommended anyone drive up the first time in the dark as the roads aren’t great. We noticed some people slipping on wet roads our first day there, but wasn’t a problem for us since we had an AWD vehicle. I wouldn’t go if it were icy at all.The hosts seemed great and provided personal cell numbers, but everything was stocked and working so we never had to contact them. This place is ideal for a couple or small family that want to get away and not run back and forth to town a lot. It’s definitely out of the way and provides peace and quiet.
Great location. Yoy will need 4x4 if you want to go in the winter months. Steep roads and tight driveway. Hotub was very nice and cleaned before our visit. May needed to have chemicals done, because if worked for one day of use then got a smell like it needed to have chemicals checked. But it was just refilled before we checked in so, i expect that the chemicals to be off. The rest of the house was amazing and the views were great.
The cabin was very clean and well stocked for are stay. The kids enjoyed the games and the hot tub. We watched movies and did some door dashing and saw six bears right outside the cabin along with a coyote and two deer. The cabin was beautiful!!!!
Nice cozy cabin in the hills but close to town and SMNP. Steep drive up so must be comfortable driving. Felt like we were in a treehouse. Saw 10 bears. Owners were easy to communicate with and welcoming.
Really enjoyed this place. Loved being in the woods and seeing trees from every window. We saw too many bears to count during our week stay(none on the property but all around the neighborhood). My 12 year old really loved the hot tub, arcade game and air hockey. Location was perfect for all major attractions and much better than staying downtown.
Everything we needed for 3 Seniors was available. Clean and organized kitchen. The house keeper was sweet, inviting and very personable. The host was very responsive and answered us immediately with any questions we might have. The patio was a plus and we even saw two bears from there. (We also encountered two more elsewhere). We just had a very relaxing time because the place was so Sweet and Homey.
We loved this rental. The deck was nice out back, we enjoyed having morning coffee before we started our day. Great location to see bear. We saw 4 in 2 days and they came right up the driveway to the side of the house. The game room was nice. The rental had everything we needed.
Very nice and beautiful. We are always a family on the go during vacations, but I wish I would have had more time here to just spend at the house. Would come back again.
We had a very nice stay at this cabin - loved that we saw bears everyday; one greeted us on the driveway when we arrived! Cabin was very clean, nicely decorated. Showers were hot with good pressure. We enjoyed the air hockey -could not get arcade to work but we were there to sightsee. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck . Getting up to the cabin was a bit tricky with steepness and curves of the road but once there we felt like we were in a treehouse! Property manager got back to us quickly when we had trouble with WiFi . Overall a pleasant stay and you will have a great chance of seeing bears as you try through Chalet Village!
While calling Atlanta home for many years, we decided to move and invest in the great state of Tennessee. We look forward to retiring in the Great Smokey Mountains. We started our first enterprise in Pigeon Forge in 2012 with our cabin "Pampered Camper". Unfortunately, it was completely destroyed in the fire of November 2016. With great love and belief in the area, we have reinvested in 2 adjoining cabin homes located in Chalet Village in Gatlinburg. Renovations have just been completed and we look forward to many great years in this area.
