About this property
Lovely home, perfect location. 10 min walk to restaurants to stadium!
We are back! This tall brick home was built in 1888 and has old charm with modern features. The location is wonderful as we are less than a 10 minute walk to the downtown restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the stadium. Park your car in the driveway and you won't need to use it for the weekend. There is a big front porch with rockers and table/chairs for your meals outside as well as a patio option in the back garden. We have a huge gourmet kitchen with marble counters and a big island for entertaining. Big TV, big sofa. All mattresses and bedding are NEW and super comfortable for a great night's sleep. Ann Arbor's downtown is back with great energy. You are 2 blocks off Main Street where they have shut down traffic for restaurants and pedestrians on the weekend.

This was the best VRBO experience. Easy access, so clean, such a warm welcome for our family with homemade cookies and treats and a stocked drink fridge. The home is lovely and the gardens are so peaceful. It was hard to leave for the football game. We impressed our friends who came to tailgate!
We were so lucky to have found this house! Location just cannot be beat. We were able to walk everywhere - the game, as well as restaurants and shops. The details, the cleanliness, the space…it was all amazing. Thank you!
You cannot beat the host, the location, or the house. Just a great place to stay for a football weekend. Cathy is a joy to work with. We have stayed at this house many times, and it never disappoints.
We had a wonderful stay at a beautiful place at a perfect location. Our host was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is located between the stadium and downtown, didn't need a car the entire weekend. Highly recommended.
Amazing, beautiful home with a wonderful host who had great communication with us, lovely heart-warming thoughtfulness and an incredible cozy place that was perfect for grandparents, parents and siblings to stay for a terrific graduation weekend. The yard / garden is spectacular with the house in a picturesque neighborhood close to great areas and walking distance to campus. We were blessed with great weather. This is a special place to stay when visiting Ann Arbor, MI!
This is the best VRBO property I have booked. The location is ideal - on a quiet street but easy walking distance to Michigan Stadium and to downtown Ann Arbor. The house has been beautifully restored with a gorgeous kitchen and beautiful decor throughout. Beds are extremely comfortable. The owner is great about communicating, really helpful, and she even baked cookies and other treats for our arrival. I highly recommend this home.
5 Stars are not enough!! 10-star property and Host!
This Property is stunning- beautiful home with amazing gardens- should be featured in Better Homes & Gardens!! Cathy is an over the top host with every detail covered! We came for a football weekend- 3 couples and an adult child with us! Can't recommend enough!! 💙💛💙
From the moment I booked everything was smooth and easy. Great communication with the host super sweet and very helpful if you need anything. Arrived to the property to be pleasantly surprised with many treats, she baked and snacks and groceries. The house is super clean, organized and renovated. It’s a wonderful location easy walk to downtown, dorms and the big house. The flowers in the front are beautiful and a beautiful fenced in back yard. I would highly recommend this property and we will 100% be back.
Perfect location walking distance to Big House & restaurants. House was spotless and so comfortable. Cathy is the most gracious host imaginable, she thought of everything possible we may need or want and then so much more. We devoured the fresh baked cookies & snacks. Regrettably we didn't have time to sit on the front porch by fire pit but we're looking forward to returning to Ann Arbor and staying at "lovely home" again. Thank you Cathy!!!
If you're thinking about spending some time in Ann Arbor, you must stay at this house. My family and I came to town for the Texas vs. Michigan game, and this house was perfect. The host, Cathy, was awesome and made sure we felt at home. The house was clean, and all the bedding was high quality. The location could not have been better. We didn't have a car and never missed one. You can walk to town and easily walk to the Big House. This will be a trip my family will never forget.
Catherine was the ultimate host . She made cookies w the state of Iowa and cookies for Michigan . She left us other little goodies . We have 4 sets of parents w kids from Iowa and Michigan and the house was great . Would love to stay here next year when we come for parents weekend . Thanks You Catherine!
This house is in the perfect location for a weekend in AA being between the stadium and the shops and restaurants on Main Street. While close to things, the block itself is really quiet. The house has a great yard with a new grill; a beautiful kitchen; it definitely fits four couples in the four bedrooms; and is in great shape. The best part of renting this home is interacting with Cathy, the host. She bakes cookies, asks if there are easy things like milk, bread, and eggs she can leave for the guests, and is really responsive to anything you might need. We have stayed here multiple times.
My family and I were in town for the Michigan game. We were traveling from Phoenix and North Carolina. Cathy could not have been more kind, thoughtful and caring. Cathy helped me secure catering for tailgating, recommended restaurants in the area, provided wagon and toys for my granddaughters and was just overall....very conscientious and attentive to our needs. The house was immaculate and all the nice touches and effort Cathy provided were greatly appreciated!
Cathy was wonderful! So kind to set up the house with some welcome food & drinks! The house is very clean & comfortable. It is a great location, walkable to downtown, campus & the big house. Great kitchen to cook in & lots of space to relax inside & outside. We will definitely be back!
Well appointed beautiful home! It was spotless on arrival. Large kitchen to gather and comfortable bedrooms. Beds were great and there were plenty of towels in the baths. Location is close to everything! We walked to the game and around town. Cathy was such a wonderful host. The home baked treats were delicious! Thank you so much! Will definitely return again!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home! It’s a short walk to Kerrytown, UMich campus and a straight shot to the Big House. Cathy was great and very easy to communicate with. Her thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated by my family and our new graduate. I will definitely stay here again for future trips to Ann Arbor!

About the host

Hi . This is my favorite favorite house we have ever lived in. I love the walkability of living downtown. There is so much to do. I am a gardener, a house project person, an avid exerciser (run, row), a reader, a home cook and baker, an occupational therapist that works with very young children.
Why they chose this property
This is the most wonderful house. We have renovated it with a marvelous expansive classic kitchen -great for gathering and entertaining. It has a huge front porch and a beautiful backyard. The house gets a ton of light. We have bought all new mattresses, pillows, sheets, towels so that your stay will be as comfortable as possible. I know I appreciate a good mattress when I am away from home. I know anyone who stays here will love it.
What makes this property unique
The location is amazing. You can walk 4 blocks to the south and be at the stadium and 4 blocks to the north and be downtown. Park the car in the driveway and walk. On Saturdays I go for a run, stop at the farmers market, the butcher (Sparrows in Kerrytown) then drop stuff off at home, change clothes and head out (walking!) to Sweetwaters or Downtown Home and Garden. Ann Arbor is back and outside (and inside) dining opportunities are thriving. The streets shut down on the weekends and it is so much fun to wander around. Stop one place for a drink, another for dinner then head to Washtenaw Dairy or Blank Slate for ice cream. You and your guests can walk back and forth from the house or just hang out at the house and you know you are in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor but staying in a beautiful historic house that is all yours.
