Hannon House is an original Montana homestead farm house, built in 1900, just steps from the Bitterroot River, settled in the late 1800's. The Westslope Suite has a private deck and entrance. It is a deluxe single bedroom with a king sized bed, luxury bath and an enclosed screened porch. This little bungalow includes a soaking tub, shower, TV with Dish Network, small microwave, mini refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. It's a luxurious retreat in the heart of the Bitterroot! Hot tub on the back deck! Portions of the property are irrigated hay fields. In addition to the original farm house, the site includes old barns and structures, a boat house and fire pit on the west bank of the Bitterroot River. Wade and float fishing are immediately accessible. The owner/host lives on site. Guests are encouraged to roam the grounds, explore the river and enjoy the views and comfort of an old fashioned Montana lifestyle. On the Lewis and Clark trail of discovery (Really, they walked through the front yard).

WE did not stay there after seeing the property because it was unkept and the so-called creek was a swamp with Alge on top.

Carol - We are sorry that we were not here to show you around. You showed up 2 hours before check-in. The “swamp” is actually Chaffin Creek that flows through the entire west side of our property. The renowned Bitterroot River also flows through the east end our property. When temperatures are high (they were 100 degrees that day), small creeks form algae that provides shelter and habitat for fish and small animals like frogs. That’s what nature does. We have never heard that our property is unkempt. Perhaps the heat blurred your vision. Our vacation rentals are in a true country setting in rural Montana. It’s what our guests love. And it’s what we love. It’s not what you love, and that’s ok too. Stick to the manicured resorts. Best wishes from the country…
We instantly felt at home here. Great setting, great room, the hosts were super welcoming and accommodating. We will be back, but stay longer next time.
This is such a sweet and relaxing spot! Perfect for a couple like us looking to have a fun time exploring local ski areas and mountain trails. Great hosts, very knowledgable and helpful in giving hot tips for ski spots on the mountain and restaurants. Very comfortable room, great porch, and hot tub. We had a wonderful time!
