Very nice community with tennis, pickleball, and pool to enjoy. Beautiful water and beach views all around with lots of history in Beaufort, fun waterside restaurants and cute shops in town. Loved our visit to the Low Country!
everything was great other than the cleanliness of the house. It was very sandy but other than that everything was great!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and well equipped. The oven door did not shut which made the kitchen hot and hard to heat up food.
Easy walk to the beach and nice amenities on the property. We would come again.

Tropical Storm Debby came through the week we rented this house. Luckily the house was big enough so everyone could get away if they needed to. I felt safe when the weather got bad. We loved our stay and are planning on renting again next year!!

The location was very nice. We enjoyed Hunting Island State Park and walking on the beach.
There was a lot of trash left in the garage that ultimately made the house stink. The floors and the porches were also in need of a good cleaning.

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. The trash is picked up on Wednesday and Saturday. Depending on your arrival date trash could be left in the cans. We are sorry that this was an issue and will see about adding an additional pickup. The porches has been power washed and the porch floors have been scrubbed.

The property description in both Vrbo and the property mgmnt. co. state an elevator is avl. for seniors (we are 88 & 77), it did not work nor do I think it was intended to work as circuit breakers were in off position. The porch, a highlight was filthy as were the kitchen cabinets, light fixtures were missing bulbs and the property mgmnt co was completely unresponsive. The home is in a beautiful setting and neighborhood with plenty of activities at your fingertips. This was our 2nd visit to this home and unfortunately our last. The owner really needs to do a deep upkeep dive.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you experienced during your stay. The details you’ve mentioned regarding the elevator, porch, cleanliness, and lighting do not reflect the experience we want for our guests, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused, especially given your return visit to the home.
We are actively reviewing your concerns with our team to ensure these issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly. Your comments about the home’s upkeep and maintenance are invaluable, and we will work closely with the property owner to see that improvements are made.
We are glad to hear you enjoyed the beauty of the setting and the surrounding activities, though we regret that the home itself did not meet expectations this time. We greatly appreciate your past visits and the time you took to share your perspective—it helps us improve and better serve our guests.
Right on a broad sand beach that you have pretty much to yourself. Shallow with mild surf which was great for small kids. 100 steps from the back porch to the beach. Easy for folks to come and go. House was very nice but had some wear and tear that goes with a beach front home. Not enough to bother us but if you are very picky it could be an issue. Our family absolutely loved it!
This house was a great fit for all of us (6 adults and 6 kids ranging 1.5-15yo). Clean, with a large dining room table and great kitchen for food prep, with ocean views. Loved having our own path to the beach. Short walks to see crabs, dolphins, lots of ocean birds, stingrays and a killer sunset. We didn't see any loggerhead turtles, but we took care to fill in our holes at the the of the day at the beach, as we were there during hatching season. Extra beach toys and chairs in in the garage were useful, too. We're looking forward to going back to serene and peaceful Harbor Island!

Overpaid and Disappointed
The location is great. However, the place is moldy, and, the AC vents are dirty and the deck furniture I wouldn't sit on. The place needs an upgrade. The master bedroom has no closet (the walk-in is locked), all other closets don't have any hangers to hang up your clothes. The kitchen drawer is broken and the kitchen sink leaks badly. We contacted Tidewatch (the management company) and they couldn't fixit. they said the faucet needs to be replaced. For this price you would expect them to replace it immediately, even with a temporary one.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.
While we're glad you enjoyed the location, we regret that the condition of the home did not reflect the high standards we aim to maintain. Your comments regarding the mold, air vents, deck furniture, and maintenance concerns are being thoroughly reviewed. These are not the experiences we want any of our guests to have, and we take them seriously.
We understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter unresolved issues, especially with the leaking faucet and broken drawer. While our team assessed the situation and determined that a replacement part was needed, we acknowledge that more immediate solutions should have been explored to minimize the inconvenience during your stay.
Your note about the locked closet, lack of hangers, and general condition of the property is also helpful. We’re using this feedback to follow up with both our maintenance and property care teams to ensure necessary improvements are made.
Thank you again for your candid review. It’s feedback like yours that helps us grow and do better for our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.
The location area of the house was incredible. Loved the spacious home and beautiful views. Loved having two balconies facing the water. Spacious bedrooms, family room, kitchen, and dining areas. I had a few issues and contacted rental property personnel. Quick to fix some issues. A/C in one of the bedrooms was nonexistent. I sent suggestions for a couple of small cleaning/fix it issues that hopefully will be easily remedied. Overall, a beautiful place and area.
Beautiful home with great view but needs a good cleaning. Kitchen was a big disappointment. All pot and pans were old and dirty(had to go to Wal-Mart to buy ones we needed). All cooking ware needs to be replaced. That was the only negative on the trip. I will give our trip a 4 on a 5 scale. Would book the house again.

Thanks for taking the time to review the property as we appreciate feedback so we can make improvements. We enjoyed having you and your family stay with us during Thanksgiving. Following your recommendation we have replaced the pots, pans and baking sheets. We hope to have you stay with us again in the future!
The house is well laid out and accommodated our group of 6 adults and 1 child easily. The proximity to the beach is absolutely amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for our stay supplemented by my crock pot and electric frying pan. Proximity to grocery stores and Beaufort was great. The Management company was very responsive to all our needs. The issue we had was the multiple repairs that had to occur during our stay: the elevator was stuck and quickly repaired but since we were left with a tool in case it got stuck again, we didn’t use it. The garage doors were inoperable and no one warned us about this even though a repairman showed up unannounced on Monday to check out the doors and give an estimate for repairs. No repairs to garage doors made while we were there. The washing machine didn’t work and while the repairman came quickly, he had to order a part the he did not get until late Wednesday so installed on Thursday. Meanwhile we were relegated to limping along and washing extremely small loads, an issue with sandy clothes and towels. Then we noticed that the house began to get hot especially upstairs. Returned from the beach to find the upstairs temp above 80 and downstairs at 78. Called and a repairman came out and worked on the units and we were able to have air conditioning again. I realize that things can break or tear up, but this home appeared to have failed to have general maintenance on many fronts.

6th year in Harbor Island
Our 6th year in Harbor Island and we will not be renting this house again. The house previously rented was sold and is not for rent. The house was surface cleaned until we started noticing things on Sunday after our Saturday arrival. The screened in porch was so dirty our feet were black; we went to Walmart purchasing a bucket, mop, and Mr Clean to scrub the decking 2 times. The house is not appointed for more than 4-6 people- there were no knives, no steak knives, and glasses were few. We bought knives and glasses, left the set of 12 glasses. We did not know the 5th BR/4th bath was in the basement and “luxury” definitely does not apply. With 3 exterior doors, a hot hallway with no vents so the doors had to be closed… not a safe environment for children. The front bedroom on the main floor was extremely hot and we used 2 small fans continuously to keep the room at a moderate level. Heat-blocking window treatments are desperately needed. The screened in porch and upper deck furniture were extremely dirty and we did not sit on them without a towel. The first floor bath mat had loaded sand in them as well as the front and screened-in porch doors. The ceiling over the master bed is buckling from water damage and all the AC vents have heavy 1/2 inch or more of dust coating. Great location but not what we expected.

We have scheduled for all porches on the house to be power washed and painted. We apologize for the inconvenience of the kitchenware, if you would have made us aware during your stay we would have been glad to replenish these items for you. Replacement blinds for the dining room and all the bedrooms have been ordered and will be installed within a few weeks. We have addressed the vents and ceiling fan. We hope you will consider the property for a future stay considering the off-season improvements that are being made.

Not Accurately Described
It’s difficult to enjoy your stay when there are not enough beds for your group due in an inaccurate description and a sofa bed that is unable to be used due to a previous guest vomiting in it and it not being cleaned. Additionally, one of the toilets was out of commission for 3 days. In fairness to the owner, he did give us about a 13% refund, which was minimal considering that my adult daughter had to sleep on a very uncomfortable sofa for the week. The property managers were very helpful and did as much as they could do given the circumstances. I believe the owner has modified the home description after our complaints. If you have single adults in your party, this is not the house for you.
Couldn’t have picked a better home as our family vacation spot this year!! It was unlike any other beach experience we’ve ever had. Seeing the dolphins, hermit crabs, the sea turtle nests and all the other wildlife was absolutely amazing! The home itself was immaculate in every way - all the amenities you can imagine even including a keurig, fully stocked laundry room, and every type of dish you can think of! The home is loaded with everything you need for a beach trip - chairs, toys, boogie boards - even fishing poles! 10 out of 10!!
This place was great! We had room for everyone. The view off the back porch and deck were wonderful. The beach was quiet with not very many people on it but this is due to it being in a gated community. We loved having an elevator for bringing things in from the car and then taking things down for repacking the car. The place was well supplied with the things you need for the beach- chairs, boogey boards, etc. But we will not be going back until we are older and don’t care to get in the water. The place was advertised as being on the sound/ ocean. It is on the sound but you can only get to the ocean by going off island somewhere else. The beach is nice until you get to the mucky sand/mud when the tide goes out. The water is shallow and great for little children and there is little wave action unless there has been a storm. It is a great place to take children. We just happen to love the ocean and it’s constant wave action and sound. The house itself has everything you need with one exception. The master bedroom closet is locked and there is no where to hang your clothes. A small wardrobe would solve that. The place is 30 minutes from the nearest grocery store. So come well supplied! You don’t want to have to run out for one or two things. The area is beautiful and we really enjoyed or stay. We just didn’t get to have our boogeyboard surfing contest! So I am champion for one more year!
Great house and Tidewater Realty was good to work with.
We had a wonderful family vacation with our children & grandchildren! It was so great to be right on the beach! Never even had to load up our beach wagons! The house was spacious & very clean! We had everything we needed! The views were breathtaking! I highly recommend 126 Harbor Dr & have already sent the information to several friends! We will definitely be back! Thanks to Tide Watch Vacations for being easy to work with!
Our family recently stayed in this home and we highly recommend. The home has everything you need including beach chairs, floats and a wagon to take things to the beach. The furnishings and linens are very nice and the home is well maintained. The walk from the home to the beach is easy and short and is great for young kids. The elevator is an added plus to bring up groceries. We had a dolphin show every morning right in front of the house. There were a few things that needed maintenance and the management company took care of it immediately. We can’t wait to come back!
Love the privacy of the beach. Went to state park that was less than 10 min away and thats where all the people were. House was perfect size for my family of 7 with plenty of room for more. View and sound of the ocean breathtaking from porches. Be sure to bring food. Not many stores close by. Relaxation is what this place is best for. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Upon arrival all three garbage cans completely full and additional six bags of garbage and multiple pizza boxes strewn about the garage which was pretty disgusting and smelly. When we got upstairs the trash compactor was also full. When we went to leave on a Wednesday I called for specific direction on putting our trash out, along with the past guests. We were to told put it out so we put it along side the road when neighbor started yelling at us an called security because we were to keep it by the garage which there were no instructions to state that. Please update your instructions so the neighbor won’t have to get all excited! We did move it back from the side of the road to the driveway...needless to say it didn’t leave us with a pleasant departure.
The advertisement for the house stated there was an elevator which was one of the main reasons for renting this house as I had recently had knee surgery and it was difficult to climb stairs. When we arrived the elevator was not in working order, UGGHHH.
The garage door opener was supplied which we thought would be helpful for coming and going but the door didn’t work correctly so it was of no use.
The broom handle on the broom in the laundry room was only about two feet tall so I apologize for not sweeping the sand off the steps and deck. I wasn’t able to use it without causing a backache.
On the good side, the size of the house was fantastic and my niece who was recently diagnosed with cancer appreciated the view and a chance to make her memories with her mom and young daughter playing in the sand and walking the beach along with watching the dolphins play.
