The Lilac Suite is a beautiful first floor bedroom with a King-sized, Double-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom.

Visit some of our favorite local restaurants to wine and dine. Come back to enjoy a relaxing night where you can unwind and soothe tired muscles in the warm Jacuzzi. During the winter holidays, the Hyde House is decorated extravagantly with 5 foot tall nutcrackers, a beautiful custom built wooden sleigh for Santa & Christmas presents, and Christmas décor all throughout the inside of the home. The Hyde House Bed & Breakfast has been showcased during “Nelsonville’s Tour of Homes.”

I traveled with my three sisters (a 4 hour trip) to Nelsonville to attend the Hocking Hills craft show the next day. We arrived at the Hyde house about 4:30 in the afternoon. We encountered the owner who was very short with us almost like we were an inconvenience and couldn’t be bothered. No explanation of house policies or instructions on where our room was. We had the Lilac suite. The rooms were nice sized and included a private bathroom and shower. The rooms themselves were neat but not very clean. You could write in the dust and cobwebs. On the outside window was an active boldface hornet’s nest. There was no one in the house to tell the entire time until the next morning when a lady showed up to cook breakfast. She was not polite. We will not be back. Hospitality 0 Clean 2 Price for offering 1. Out of a scale of 1-10

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom rug was dirty, and the shower could have used a good deep cleaning. We did see a mouse on the chair one evening. There was no dresser or closet. It would have been nice for unpacking your clothes.
