Confused about the ratings

This is the second time I’ve booked with Vrbo, and while my first experience was amazing in a villa in Corsica, this one was a huge disappointment. I genuinely don’t understand how this place can have such great reviews. It’s hard to believe that two offerings at opposite ends of the quality scale can have the same number of stars.The bathrooms had a damp smell, and the furniture was basic. Overall, it didn’t feel very clean. There was a bucket with a mop right in the middle of the kitchen, and one of the bedrooms was used for storage. There were even notes about what chores you were expected to do, and they made it clear that this wasn’t a hotel! They were happy to charge hotel prices, though, which might explain why it didn’t look very clean overall.In the end, we only stayed there to sleep and shower but it just shows that paying 900 euros for a week does not guarantee a quality stay.

Hello Michel, I thank you for the comment that shocks me and really doesn’t match our comments. This cottage is completely correct and far from being outdated as you seem to describe it and quite clean. It’s not like our house to rent a dirty apartment, I think you are exaggerating greatly. It is a cottage for 6 people, the rate corresponds exactly to the number of people for 1 week. Regarding the room where we store the vacuum cleaner, for your information, it is not declared as a room - you can’t find it in the description: it’s the room where we stock the kit with bed.... That the apartment does not suit you, I hear it but describe a rental, I do not hear it. I hope nevertheless that you had a good time in Alsace and we wish you a beautiful summer. Celine ZEYSSOLFF

Agréable séjour dans ce gîte idéalement situé à proximité de la route des vins et Obernai. La location est très confortable et au calme. Le personnel est très aimable et accueillant.

Es handelt sich um eine sehr große Dachgeschoss-Wohnung. Sie ist nicht ganz so lichtdurchflutet, wie es auf den Bildern scheint. Es ist grundsätzlich sehr sauber, aber es hat ein paar Ecken, wo z.B. das Silikon mal erneuert werden müsste. Allgemein ist die Wohnung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Einzelne Lampenschirme (Kinderzimmer) und Möbelstücke (Essbereich) könnten durchaus mal ersetzt werden. Die Spülmaschine funktioniert einwandfrei, dem Geschirrkorb fehlen jedoch einige Stäbe, wo man die Teller reinsteckt, andere sind bereits am Wegrosten.Das war jetzt alles meckern auf hohem Niveau!Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung wohl gefühlt und sie hat eine tolle Lage, um Ausflüge im wunderschönen Elsass zu machen!Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit.

Très bon hébergement, avec tous les équipements nécessaires, y compris pour notre petit bébé de cinq mois. Nous avons bien apprécié la climatisation durant cette période de canicule. La proximité avec la cave, la boutique et le restaurant est très appréciable. Nous avons pu profité de tous ces lieux. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et très aimables. Ils font un travail remarquable et soigné. Toute leur équipe est formidable. Nous recommandons ce lieu à 100%.

Il aurait fallu signaler que, certes le logement n’est pas adapté aux PMR, mais que l’escalier est sévère pour des personnes valides mais plus très jeunes. Un petit coup de ménage en arrivant malgré les 80 euros inclus dans la location. Gîte bien conçus pour six ou sept personnes.Paysages et environnement magnifiques.superbe semaine.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 5 Personen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ausreichend Platz und bei schönem Wetter ein schön gestalteter Gartenbereich. Die Wohnung ist sauber und genau wie beschrieben. Zum Schneiden fehlen ein paar gute Messer und Bretter.

Vacances super !

Le gîte est géographiquement bien situé. Nous avons fait à partir de Gertwiller, de nombreuses découvertes : Mont Ste Odile. Obernai, Strasbourg . . . Le fait qu'il y ait une gare dans le village, nous a permis d'aller facilement à Strasbourg. Le magasin de pain d'épices, à la porte du gîte, nous a permis de faire quelques réserves gourmandes. A la cave toute proche, certains ont fait quelques achats. Le gîte bien propre, nous a parfaitement convenu.

leuk weekend in deze accommodatie eindigde met een onterechte naheffing van € 200. Voor een zgn kapotte vaatwasser die gewoon het hele weekend gewerkt had.. Pas op voor dit soort praktijken!
