5 West 77th Street in Harvey Cedars is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation spot. This cottage is bursting with charm and benefits from a 100% unbeatable location.

At 77th West street in Harvey Cedars, the island is just two blocks wide, making the ocean and the bay very close. 'Downtown' Harvey Cedars is just 4 blocks away for ice cream, groceries or a cheese steak at Neptunes.

We think our home is an ideal rental for a couple, or families with children. Every room has a ceiling fan and central AC is available.

On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bath. (The owner lives in a separate apartment upstairs.) One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has twin beds. The main living room/dining and kitchen are all open and connected.

There are porches and decks both in front and in back.

We like to rent for a 2 week minimum, and we recommend a Friday check-in check-out. MUCH less traffic. Keywords: House, porch, deck, beach chairs, bikes

Comfortable, convenient, charming spot on LBI

Family and I had a great week staying at Suellen’s place. You can’t beat the location for its proximity to both the ocean beach and the bay beach, as well as to the restaurants/shops of Harvey Cedars. Cottage itself was extremely well-equipped and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the front porch and the back deck, and it was extra helpful that beach chairs and beach toys (a hit with our 3-year-old) were there and available for us to use. We’d gladly stay here again during a future LBI trip.

LONG BEACH ISLAND VACCINATION TO SEE OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN

We had a delightful vacation as guests at this residence. Everything was neat and clean and overall it was a very pleasant experience. Best of all the neighborhood was quiet and the queen bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed many pleasant days out at the lighthouse park. Suellen was friendly and easy to work with.

Solitude in Harvey Cedars

Wanted a little beach getaway that was not too far away. WOW! This place was perfect! Close to the beach, the bay and the amenities in “town”. Nice front porch and backyard when you’re not exploring elsewhere. Great for a couple or small family. This place is quiet and laid back - if you’re looking for amusements this is not the place. Highly recommend!

We're All Together Now!

Must say your house was perfect for us. Love the history of the interior, the legacy paneling as well as family pictures. My families had three houses in Harvey Cedars and 2 in Barnegat Light. Quite a reunion and congregation. It was wonderful to host the flow-through of relatives and visitors . Thanks for your easy communication and kindness.

Wonderful quiet beach getaway

Wonderful place to stay in Harvey Cedars! The house was as described, and was very clean and comfortable. Great location too! Suellen was a wonderful host and was available if we needed anything. We brought our dog Rosie and she had a great time on walks in the area and playing in the fully fenced in back yard.

Relaxing getaway

This house is exactly as stated and it is in an amazing location 2 blocks to the bay beach and a short walk across the street to the ocean. Also, many great places to eat nearby including black eyed Susans, birdys, sunset pizza, Harvey cedars seafood, hc ice cream, and a liquor store all in walking distance. Nice front porch with comfortable chairs and a table. An amazing cool breeze flows through the windows so we barely needed the air conditioner. The beds and couches were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower, the back deck with the grill, and the fenced yard was nice! The dog was so happy! We would love to stay again soon! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our vacation. Perfect location - very nice beach and (unlike some other places on the island) not crowded. We also biked. Even though we were not able to bring bikes for the whole family, we used the owner's bikes to fill the gap (there are 3 available, and even though they are not new, they worked well; also there is a kayak and a paddle board, which we did not have the time to try). We enjoyed the house. Very functional - large table outside, grill, shower outside perfect for after the beach, enough space for a large group (there were 8 of us). We cooked. Very nice communication with the owner (Suellen). Kids broke a couple of items. Sorry. Suellen was very reasonable about that. Overall - very pleasant experience. Thank you !

Rented for the holiday weekend to celebrate a college Graduation it’s is crazy convenient to the beach and beautiful sunsets are three houses away on the bay side . Kitchen was well equipped and the house is set up so that we were never crowded. Hostess/owner was super easy to deal with. We were really happy with all of it!!

Home away from home

We celebrated my Mom’s 75th birthday at this home away from home before the season began. We enjoyed the large table that the whole family can sit around and the two shared living spaces. The upstairs allowed a sneak peak of the bay and quite a view from the crows nest along with multiple decks to enjoy. The beds were comfortable and the home had all of the amenities we needed. The house is both close to the ocean and just a half a block from the bay. I would recommend staying at this home. We had a great time with our family!

The house was great and it had everything we needed. The porches and decks are the perfect spot for watching sunsets, reading and relaxing. Easy walk to the ocean, the bay, stores and ice cream shop - no need to use your car once you great there. The location couldn't be better. And the outdoor shower was enjoyed by all.

Perfect beach house in the best LBI town!

The Beach House was perfect. My kids loved the roof deck, the bikes, the games, and the kids to play with on the street. I loved the kitchen that had everything, the barbecue grill that was great, and the well-stocked bookcase. We all loved walking to the bay in 1 minute and to the ocean in 3 minutes. Harvey Cedars is great because it's so narrow from ocean to bay (about 10 houses wide). We stayed at the house with my 5 children and my parents which was very comfortable. There are two bedrooms and a living room area upstairs, with decks out front and out back. And there are two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room on the main floor. It feels very homey, right down to the extra beach bags and sun hat in the closet, the sunscreen in the cupboards, the Monopoly game upstairs, and the boogie boards in the shed. There are 2 TVs and air conditioning, but we never used them.

Perfect location!

My family and I spent 8 days in this simple cottage in a perfect location on LBI. It was a short walk (or wagon ride) to both the bay and the beach. Days were spent playing in the sand and surf and evenings started with sunset over the bay topped off by another wagon ride to ice cream. We all took outdoor showers except the littlest one who refused so instead bathed in the cooler near the outdoor shower every night. It was fun and lovely and we made many happy memories as well as some new friends.

Great time at the beach!!

My husband and I had a great time with our 18 month old while my sister stayed on the lower level with her teenagers. There was room for everyone with two levels and multiple porches and living spaces. We enjoyed being close to the beach and the bay beach for our 18 month old just 2 short blocks away. Neptune and an ice cream parlor two blocks in the other direction. Hope to visit again soon!

1 week stay in early June

Went to LBI with my sons and their girlfriends. The house was great-I loved all the porches. There was plenty of room for 6 of us. We had everything we needed and felt completely comfortable. I would definitely rent the house again!

My partner and I own this house together. It's been in the family for years. I live in Utah, he's in Philadelphia, and spending several weeks with relatives at our beach house is one of the best ways I know to stay close.

Why they chose this property

Our family has spent at least a week on LBI for every summer of my life - since 1961! Our family has grown and we wanted a place where we could all stay together.
