Beautiful 160 m² villa to the South of Île d’Oléron in a quiet residential area at the edge of the forest, 800 m on foot from the centre and 400 m from the sea. There is a beautiful walled 835 m² garden planted with trees with 10x5 m pool heated from May to September with electric safety shutter, a shower room and a toilet with access to the pool. There is a terrace, garden furniture, sunloungers, a gas and charcoal barbecue, 2 parking spaces on the land and a garage for bikes. Ground floor: large living space with fireplace and Mezzanine, large kitchen, 3 bedrooms opening onto the terrace and the pool including 1 on the first floor, 2 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets.
The house is close to the beaches and the state forest of Saint-Trojan-les-Bains. There are many activities. In family or with friends, nature lovers will enjoy the many assets that the island location offers. Forget the car and travel by bike during your entire holiday: croissants in the morning, market at noon and seafood tasting at cocktail hour by the pool or on the beach with the sunset.

We had a great time in the house. The house was fantastic and had a good size for the 10 of us. The pool area was very fine and we enjoyed swimming and realxing. We walked every day the 2-3 km to the small city where there was fine restaurants.

Checking in, pool unavailable for first two days apparently owing to vandalism of previous occupants. Lock and shutter in one of the rooms was not working. Overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. House is well equipped. Pool was great when fixed.

Lovely holiday. Modern spacious house with good sized pool on the outskirts of town. Very quiet and private. Located In the south of the island in St Trojan Les bains but not too far from town centre, 20 mins brisk walk, and nearest beach, 20-30 mins walk.

Fangen wir bei dem Vorgarten an: Ein sehr gepflegter Eindruck. Der große, alte Olivenbaum zeigt schon, dass dies nicht ein x-beliebiges Ferienhaus ist, ebenso wie die kleinen geschmackvollen Dekorationen. Im Haus angekommen verschmelzen der Eingangsbereich, das Esszimmer und das Wohnzimmer zu einem großen Raum. Auch hier sieht man auf den ersten Blick, dieses Haus wird definitiv bewohnt. Es ist nicht spartanisch eingerichtet, vielmehr liebevoll mit Blick auf Details (besonders die Gezeitenuhr hat es mir sehr angetan). Im Esszimmer fällt der lange Esstisch mit der Designerlampe sofort auf und das Schachspiel lädt sofort zu einer Partie ein. Alle notwendigen Glassets sind vorhanden, von Rot- und Weißwein, Schaumwein, Wasser, etc. Die Küche befindet sich direkt nebenan. Zwei Kühlschränke sind vorhanden. Einer der beiden ist ein doppelflügliges amerikanisches Model (Kühl+Gefrier), welches auch auf Knopfdruck Wassereis in Form von Würfel, Crushed-Eis etc. herstellen kann. Ich habe noch nie eine so gut eingerichtete Küche gesehen. Von Kitchen Aid-Produkten, höllisch scharfen Messern, bis zur Küchenwaage und Töpfe über Töpfe alles vorhanden, ebenso eine Drop-Kaffemaschine wie auch eine für Kapseln. Der Induktionsherd ist für drei Töpfe ausgelegt, es gibt einen Backofen und eine Mikrowelle. Eine Küchenausstattung wie man sie auch von daheim gewohnt ist. WC's und Bäder sind sauber, vor allem die Bäder sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind nicht nur sauber, sondern ganz individuell, jedes für sich eingerichtet. Kinderbetten, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Tresor, alles vorhanden. Der Garten: Die beiden Palmen, der saftig grüne Rasen (er wird jede Nacht vollautomatisch bewässert) und ein großer Gasgrill direkt neben dem großen Esstisch auf der Terrasse und überall Liegestühle und die herrliche Ruhe ließen keine Wünsche offen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und dem Concierge verlief ohne Probleme, nur etwas Englisch sollte man können, besser noch französisch. Der Rest geht mittels laienhafter Gebärdensprache ziemlich gut. Man hat bei dem Haus tatsächlich immer das Gefühl, ein Haustausch gemacht zu haben. Es ist kein einfaches Ferienhaus, sondern ein normal bewohntes Haus. Ich kann sowohl das Haus selbst als auch den Vermieter nur voll und ganz empfehlen und mich noch einmal für die herrliche Unterbringung bedanken.

Vacances au top ! Tout y est, et même plus !!!

Nous nous sommes sentis à l'aise dès le début. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment tout expliqué avant notre arrivé, concernant Oléron et les environs de la propriété. Et nous avons trouvé tout ce que nous avions lu sur le site et même plus. En fait, il ne manque rien dans cette maison. Du nécessaire de cuisine, jusqu'aux nécessaires de plage tels que parasols, transats pliables pour la plage .... et même des vélos, qui n'étaient pas mentionnés sur le site. Bref ... nous recommendons vivement cette villa. La piscine est super grande, et bien sûr chauffée. Chaque chambre a la vue et l'accès à la piscine. Merci beaucoup pour tout monsieur le propriétaire. Si nous revenons sur Oléron, nous savons chez qui réserver notre séjour.

Relaxing holiday by the sea

This is a well located property with a wonderful pool and garden. The house is well arranged with all downstairs rooms opening onto the pool area. There is a nice open internal space and good dining areas inside and out. We felt that the cleanliness could be improved - we found many surfaces required cleaning as did the barbecue and some glasses, pots and pans. The bikes were not in good condition and only 3 were usable (we had to hire bikes to ride around the island). The garage door did not lock which creates a security problem. From the property description we expected more sports equipment but what appears to be contents must refer to what is available in the area. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and the owner was very helpful and easy to deal with. If the cleanliness was improved and the bikes were all in good condition we would give this property 5 stars.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour dans cette belle maison très bien décorée - tout y est réfléchi et de bon goût avec le même thème de la mer omnipresent mais très bien adapté au lieu! spacieuse , très belle piscine chauffée et terrasse ensoillée à l'abris et sans vis à vis - bref une très belle villa de vacances! Une seule critique s'il fallait en donner : l'absence de salle de bain à l'étage. Bravo encore pour la décoration !

Parisians who fell in love with Île d’Oléron, we have been looking for this place for a long time and encouraged our friends who also took the plunge. Now we are neighbours in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains. We are a group of all ages and we cross the forest to reach the Grande Plage and enjoy the pleasures of sun and ocean.
At the rhythm of the tides, we enjoy boat excursions, water skiing and tubing for our picture collection (not for the faint of heart).

Why they chose this property

Unforgettable childhood memories. Wonderful playground for our 3 daughters.

What makes this property unique

We love resting in this very bright house opening onto the garden maintained by “Nicolas our gardener”, spending time in the pool to play and swim but above all receiving family and friends for barbecues on the terrace in summer or by the fireplace in winter.
The South of the island is particularly quiet and peaceful. It is a privileged location for successful holidays.
