"De Haan is a quaint charming seaside town located in a hilly landscape at the Belgian coast. It is well known as the most beautiful village on the Belgian coast. Together with the nearby villages of Klemskerke, Vlissegem and Wenduine municipality, De Haan attracts mostly tourists who are looking for peace and calmness.
The fact that there are no groups of apartment complexes located along the coast of De Haan, gives the village a unique character. From De Haan, tourists can easily visit other resorts such as Blankenberge and Ostend. These are easy to reach by use of the coastal tram.
In De Haan, starting from the highest dunes, you enjoy the wonderful view over the North Sea, the coastal region and the bunded swamps,. Further waits the fun Hubert mill, the cultural centre ‘Wielingen’ and the beautiful promenade with its many cosy terraces. Don’t forget to visit the fashionable villa district called ‘Concessie’ as well. This district is constructed in Anglo-norman style. "
