About this property
Log Cabin in the Woods Where the Wild Animals Roam
Camp Beargrass - a cozy, secluded log cabin, situated in a pine forest with quintessential Montana mountain views. Ideally suited to anyone craving peace and solitude.
The open kitchen, dining and living space includes ample seating, a dining table for eight, a flat screen TV and a gas fireplace for cool evenings. Large picture windows provide views in all directions of the forest and mountains. Deer, elk and an occasional moose can be seen roaming the area.
Also located on the first floor are a bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom and a utility room with washer/dryer. The upstairs loft has a queen bedroom, bathroom and separate twin bed area. The sunrise can be seen from the queen bed.
The mountain town of Whitefish has fine or casual dining, a great farmer's market, galleries, antique shops and many of the conveniences of home. Ski Whitefish Mountain or swim in Whitefish Lake. Golf, fly fish, river raft, hike or just relax at a mountain stream. Tour or hike Glacier National Park, only one hour drive from the cabin.

About the host
Hosted by Robert & Janet Schuttler

Bob and I fell in love with Whitefish while our boys were attending University of Montana, Missoula. At the time, we were living in a high-rise in the city if Chicago. Visiting the boys was the perfect getaway from the frenetic energy of the city. Exploring northwest Montana was a wonderful adventure filled with new experiences. The majesty of Glacier National Park was, and will always be awe-inspiring!
Now we are immersed in nature year around as we live on a farm in southwest Michigan. We raise Lowline Angus cattle and produce 100% grass-fed beef.

Why they chose this property
Bob always longed for a log cabin in the forest. After settling in Whitefish, and going into the real estate business, son Rob found the perfect venue for us. We fell in love with the property before even stepping into the cabin. If you long for peace and solitude, with the fun of Whitefish close by, this is the vacation destination for you.
